All I remember is that playing Timekillers on the Genesis, I'd pick the samurai guy every time. I think his name was Musashi.
The reason why was because he had an attack that could dismember and decapitate his opponent all at once, since your character could lose both arms, and I think even one of their legs. If you managed to cut all those off, you could take their head off.
Alternatively there were some attacks that just randomly decapitated you.

Bright red - like my avatar here. Only half of my hair though, for now, so that my natural colour is like a layer on top and you see the bright, artificial red under.
