There's a purpose it all leads to. After a certain point things are gonna turn around a bit and they're gonna get involved in something. They're just not quite there yet.

Calliga beats Siren at her own game, making her submit to him the way her " loyal subjects " do with her, and she goes along with him on a quest to find the lost fragments of the holocron he's currently only got a piece of.
It's a way to work in how Siren doesn't have that great of a plot for herself, so this makes for a more believable way as to why she'd help another rise in power.

I'm not sure. I kind of wanted to start putting a bit of the master in 'im, but I feel that then we're just going into pure lunacy and overwhelming power cravings. I need a better sense of humor, really....

If you haven't noticed, when she came in for her nanite flush, he hinted at knowing something was off, offering to purge her of even annoying force problems or something. And now he's suddenly recognized that little twinge is actually another presence.
But I don't think he really would care. Perhaps even thinks its more interesting, because Cene actually will know more than she may be able to handle at times.
Though I do admit, I seriously think skinning a person is the taung version of a nice date....
