Doesn't look like he absorbs what he throws at you. Put Mirror up and focus on healing yourself with potions in the start; he'll chip away at his own HP while you recover. Mirror will take care of Silence and Petrify, so if you have status-preventing items, equip the ones that will help with his curse spell.
Alternatively, put something with Fire absorption on everyone and trollface hard.
Cute game, btw. The interface kind of reminds me of Romancing Saga. I totally forgot about Mirror! I'm gonna give Brigitte back that spell right away.

Bust-A-Move Universe kupo? - w- It's got a cute dinosaur or at least, I think it still does kupo. I dunno if you'd even like it though, but it's really popular in Japan, and you do like those Japanese games that are, arcade-ish, no, kupo?
