thanks.
it definitely is a good experience. especially if you've always wanted to write a novel but can never get around to it. by the end of the month, you'll have a novel written. it may not be the best piece of work you could have done, but it'll be a novel, and it will have been WRITTEN. It's worth even just the sense of accomplishment. At the end of it, you can actually stand up and say 'I have written a novel.' smile definitely one of the best parts.

I've only written essays and articles seriously, so nothing that passed the 3,000 word mark xd I am bound to try my hands at a novel sometime though. I'd still have to figure out which language to write it in ...
which language? just choose whichever one you're strongest in. MUCH better for the wordcount. well, the daily quota for this is about 1,667 a day. do that much every day of November, and you should be able to just reach 50 000 on the 30th

Heh, I am trying NaNoWriMo and failing. I just have problems getting out 1667 words a day. I'm not gonna outright quit yet though.

I'm from the Netherlands, so it would be unfair to claim any other language than Dutch as my main. I would have to add that I will also do the exams for an International Baccalaureate diploma English this year, so my English is (supposed to be)more than reasonable as well ^^

I remember when I was your age. Young and stupid with nothing else in his life but games to keep you entertained while mother and father were out working and making their moneys. This is the story of the little kid who had nothing else in his life but video games and the occasional guest.

xd just keep at it. You'll get it. watch out for week 2 though. that's where most people go down.
does your region do word wars? I find they work wonders for the word count. set the timer for about 15 min. once the timer is set and starts counting down, write as much as you can, non-stop, during those minutes. once it's over, you compare the scores. sometimes prizes for the highest scores for people on laptops and people doing it by hand. ... even just write-ins help. going to one community place and doing a group writing session.

@ Yuan: ooooooh. cool. xd well, just pick whichever one you're most comfortable with and can write more fluently in. Generally better that way, methinks.

I'll get around to the regions in a while, once the site stops taking forever to load. xD

Yeah I agree, even though everything sounds cooler in English. Just translating English lyrics or English company slogans to Dutch makes me realise how weird the lyrics/slogans/Dutch language is pirate
Well, I won't have time to write a novel anytime soon, so I'm not really going to spend any time thinking about it either.

Anywayyy, I'm going over to a friend's place to free his Wii from dust. I'd love to read some of your passages once you think you've written decent ones wink xd

Cya ^^

My mom smelled ciggarettes when she walked in my room, it wasn't me, it was my laptop burning up on the inside. She made me turn it off, so I'm on my Wii now.

xd yeah .... they are pretty slow right now. not as slow as they were before the beginning of the month. it just takes a little patience.

@ Yuan: xd I might post some of them. dunno if I'll have anything though.
