You see? They make a real profit off the customer service, but screw us over majorly in the process! I mean with those savings of moving them overseas, the least they can do is provide BETTER customer service then what they had stateside... gonk
Why can't they be awesome like Zappos?! They have totally awesome customer service, and a wide selection of shoes! heart

I think the government is just going step on a few toes and say "you can't move out of the country without paying x amount of money a year that increases every year, failure to pay will result in embargoes.

Ayanami Rei First Child 2NA Zappos was bought by Amazon recently, so enjoy that while it lasts... ninja WHAT?! The owner was saying how he was going to be dedicated to great customer service!! How can that be if he's not in charge?! gonk well its like Budweiser being bought by the germans. What the hell do the germans know about what we americans like in a beer.

on a side note i just remembered a debate from when i first joined gaia. apparently someone started a thread on why there were no kid avis, and many people said it would cause ***** XD
the GD forum is one messed up place.

Ayanami Rei First Child Well our local broadband company wasn't as fast, but they paid their employees a LIVING WAGE! Heck that's what we used to do decades ago! Well I was watching an expert on this talk show, and he was talking about how Solar Tech would cause droughts. I'm guessing it would kill the rain or something. The guy didn't have time to really explain it. Still though we could be developing safer and better nuclear tech. We could be developing hydrogen and bio-fuel sources that won't cause famine. There's all KINDS of things we could be doing, but aren't motivated enough. Oh and let's not forget, "Hey we're the government and we'll PAY YOU to NOT grow anything!". What I think is farmers should keep that same wages, but have the OPTION to grow crops under the strict condition that they would be donated to a homeless shelter, schools, or some other charity. The thing with moving jobs overseas is that they are screwing us over in TWO ways. First is the fact that they save money, but screw Americans out of jobs. Second of all is that they KEEP THEIR SAME HOURS, instead of INCREASING THEM!! It's like saying "Hey we're going to screw over America and make a profit, and screw our customers open by not having longer customer support, despite paying our employees little money!" As I said, they don't have to work for any company, so if they don't like the wage (which unless your getting paid $20 odd something an hour you probably don't), you are not forced to work that job. Now that doesn't mean that I approve of what they are paying its just that it is their business, their money and you don't have to work for them. The government should not be in the business of charity, thats what Charities and Churches (real ones not those money grubber false preachers you see on tv [not all are mind you but the majority are]) are for. Once the government starts entering into those things which ought to be the responsibility of charities it is taking taxpayer money that is obligated for running the government and redistributing it which is bankrupting us at the same time. The responsibility of the government is to protect its citizens not provide for them. That being said, its the job of the government not to waste it either, and to pay farmers not to grow crops is a waste of money and another reason our government is going bankrupt. They are screwing us out of jobs, but its no different then what employers are doing over here to us while hiring illegal immigrants. They lower the paying wages for physical labor jobs to such a level that the only reason citizens will not do these jobs is because they don't pay enough for the kind labor they are requesting, while at the same time suckering poor illegals into doing it instead. Thats mainly because they have no idea how much that kind of labor is worth and they are so poor they will take anything. In doing so, the employers can claim that the reason they hire illegals is because no one else will do the jobs (which they also have politicians reiterating) while profiting all the more for it. The only difference is that what Comcast is doing is legal and those people hiring illegals are not. Though if some politicians had their way that would be legal too.

Yami Takashi I want to say "go back to your own country!" to half these call center workers, then i remember they are in their country. The Indian ones are the worse, they hack English up like veggies for a curry. They also skip words in sentences which pisses me off. "Yes, it seems that you do owe us (a) balance of $278 and 94 (cents)" "I told you that the installers could not install the dish, we owe you nothing!" "Yes, our records (show?) you own balance of $278 and 94" "We were not getting the service! We have a huge tree in the way, the installers didn't even bring a pole or bucket!" "You own for HBO, STARS and SHOWTIMMY (yes showtim the dumb b***h said timmy)" "That was suppose to be free when we called the move number!" "yes well we can credit it" "ok?" Can't do that though, if the government did that then other governments would do the same to their businesses that try to setup shop over here and could cost us more jobs then those that would be lost by moving overseas.
