"Right then," Serenity smiled. "Off we go." She started off once more, checking over her shoulder to make sure Kara was following.
"Is there anything else you want to know about?" she asked curiously. "I mean ... anything you see or have seen that you've been wondering about?"

Kara looked thoughtful trying to think back on what she had see, it was just so much to take in. Now that she could see the land she had travelled upon only a few months ago.
"No," she slowly shook her head, "I don't think so."

Serenity smiled. "If you have questions," she said softly, "just ask."
Beside the path, there was an entire patch of the flowers that had been on the wall of the cave, those who on one plant had three blossoms of different colours.

"It's so colourful," Kara murmured looking at them as they passed.
Perhaps they were hybirds by chance? Or maybe not.... but they were pretty. Flowers were generally spekaing.

Serenity smiled. "There's a reason Ulani and Ulrich's parents named the valley the way they did," she murmured. "I don't know what time of year they found it, but when they called it home ... they discovered its beauty and named it after it."

"It was Ulani and Ulrich's parents that first came here?" Kara asked with wide eyes.
It was hard to imagine, but then again the way those two acted it was hard to remember that they were much... much... much... older than she was. She couldn't even imagine now being that old.

Serenity laughed. "Ah, something you didn't know," she giggled. "Yes ... the village where they lived had burned down, and the four of them were the only survivors. None of them wanted to move to the city, so they moved out here and settled. Once they left, Ulani and Ulrich took over taking care of the valley."

"And no one else ever wished to move here?" Kara asked.
She couldn't imagine why, sure it was out in the middle of nowhere, but if you were self sufficenet enough you could live out here comfortably even in the winter.

Serenity smiled faintly. "Trust me," she murmured. "Many have tried, and all have left ... and rather quickly, I might add. There are few who would dare remain against Ulani and Ulrich's wishes ... Ulrich's, especially. He's far too respected, though he would never admit it himself. And Ulani ... well ..."
She shrugged. "I'd be surprised if she ever let you see it, but she has the worst temper of anyone I've ever seen ... and though she refuses to take advantage of her nobility, she has been known to use it to command authority."

Kara blushed a bit at that, "I don't recall if you were around as a bird... but I know about her temper... she yelled at Elrohir once while we were here."
She played with her fingers a bit, she tried not to remember because really Elrohir was just.... unlearnt as the term maybe, he hadn't seen enough things to really accept them. It didn't really bother her... really....

"Uhm...." Kara was a bit embarassed, since she was sort of the reason, "He thought my wings was a cloak.... and kind of didn't take it too well when he found out they weren't. Well, seeing Jin kind of tipped him off, I think I was just the icing that topped the proverbial cake."

"Don't be," Kara shook her head, "Afterall why else do you think Donovan made it his mission to bother Elrohir so much while we were travelling?"
It was kind of embarassing at that, but Donovan really had loved to push Elrohir's buttons.

Serenity smiled. "I have to admit," she said sheepishly, "it was rather amusing to watch, what I saw of it ... though I think I made him feel a bit uncomfortable, he tried to avoid me ... and didn't let me play with Daeron very much."
