I can watch it and the death star "Luck" kiss quite easily. Mostly because I know that the dont know better. And notice how its always Leia kissing Luke. Luke doesnt make that sort of move. Leia always instigates it.

The Death Star kiss Ican watch. First of all, it was just on the cheek, and they didn't know better... However, in the three years between IV and V, who knows how they might have furthered their relationship? It's unlikely, but not impossible, that they might have done a bit more... um... kissing.

Figuring Leia was around han a bit more than Luke, I'd say that's quite hard to concieve.
"That bounty hunter we met on Ord Mantrell changed my mind," is just one of several lines that tend to suggest that han was more of Leia's personal escort than a friend during this time.

Oh, I agree that it's very unlikely, but it's definitely plausible.

Luke was there too. Both times. Trust me on that.

If nothing else, the kiss on hoth was to spite han. If she really did like Luke, I figure the kiss would have been more romantic than a simple peck. At least the way the scene pans out, it would be far more effective to make one's boyfriend jealous by kissing some neutral person than him. And between Luke or Chewy, Luke's a lot shorter.

Theres no question she was spiting Han on Hoth. Luke had several lovs during the time (None of them ended very well) and with all the work of being a pilot, commander, and struggling to understand his force powers, he probably had no real time or interest to divert into pursuing Leia. He also on an instinctive level probably felt it would have been a bad idea. Leia, having grown up around royalty, had no such inhibitions. Looking historically at royal dynasties, Inbreeding was disturbingly common. She probably would have been hooked up with a 2nd cousin or something had Alderaan not blown up. In fact, thats probably why Bail was so willing to adopt the girl. He probably figured the royal line he married into could do well with some outside DNA.

Who do you think would play Han Solo if ANH would be remade?
I have my cards on Joe Flanigan, from Stargate Atlantis.

Nathan Fillion would make a good Han in my opinion.

They'd just re-cast Harrison ford and do some digital makeup.
There's no way they'd risk messing up the visage with some sci-fi channel B-list actor.

Key word: Before.
If you haven't noticed, GL is unafraid to utilize the full extent of CGI. So, see previous statement. It'd be a "continuty issue". I see it just like the new James bond. Re-do all the characters, save but dame judy dench, the wicked b***h of the west.
Except Harrison ford is the old straggler this time around. After all, they are making Indiana Jones 4.

Yeah, but they are actually acknowledging that Indy's older. I could more see GL reusing the old scenes with Han and putting in new aspects, like he did with the Jabba scene in ANH
