Ahh I like songs with that contrast. I think the most popular example, would be Luca (sp?) by Stephanie Vega. Had a catchy tune, happy sounding, it was about child abuse.
My favorite example would be Nude by Radiohead. I love how the song is so incredibly soothing and relaxing, yet the lyrics are so cold and hopeless.

I was listening to the oldies station while I was driving and I came across another example. I can't believe I missed it. Cause my Mom loves this song.
Band of Gold by Freda Payne. Very Happy, upbeat, catchy. It was about a crappy marriage leading to the worst honeymoon ever.

That just reminds me of a book I read recently. It was Gene Wilder's memoirs, great book. It's called Kiss me like a stranger. He was married four times.

General feelings of hopelessness, My father has been making these tasteless jokes about me to everyone. I can't sleep properly again. I would love to let me sleep a good eight hours but it doesn't ******** happen. I had the longest anxiety attack I've ever had earlier this week. A whole Five hours, thinking and feeling that your heart is going to burst.

My father is quite scary when he runs out of dope. During that anxiety attack, my left arm tingled so I really thought I was having a heart attack.
I think I need some sleeping pills, but...you know why I'd be afraid to take them.
