Tatsumi busied himself with the refreshments, glancing up as the pair entered the room. "Sit," he motioned to the large, darkwood table with those nice, comfy blue office chairs surrounding it. "We don't have much time for an explanation."
Hisoka sighed softly. "This is about the souls, isn't it?"
"Yes," Tatsumi didn't look at the kitten as he pulled out a few stacks of paper-- when he'd gotten time to make those was anyone's guess. "You see, that breach is quite possibly the way back to our own world, as the previous way out of 'book worlds' was to have Watari draw us back into existence, and he appears to be caught in this as we are."

For some odd little reason, the fact that Watari wasn't around didn't surprise Tsuzuki terribly much. Stealing the chair closest to the refreshments, he settled for simply staring at Tatsumi in a blank manner, waiting for the inevitable instructions with a mostly concealed interest.

Much as he may have liked to 'keep his cool', or whatever the term for maintaining a suave attitude was these days, this particular bit had not been...
Okay, fine, the natural suspicion with something big and freaky was always 'Muraki did it!', but damnit he hadn't known that was the case before! "Do we get a SWAT team?" he groaned, reaching in the direction of the coffee cups.

"Actually, you probably won't have to deal with Muraki as he has work for the next two hours. So if you two work quickly now, you'll be in and out without having to even see him," Tatsumi shrugged slightly.

"But we have to go into his lab, right? Where there are, like, booby traps, right? Almost as bad as the creep in the flesh," fine, so he was inclined to be indignant. He had every single right.
But he was being somewhat unreasonable--not saying that he wouldn't do it... There was no reason to be happy about this, however. None at all.

"You have the two hours he's gone," Tatsumi shrugged before turning back to the paperwork. "Get a detailed account of what happened from Cordell."
Hisoka sighed softly, wanting to comfort Tsuzuki before remembering Tatsumi's curious relationship with the wolf. Damn. Oh well. Rising from his seat, the kitten glanced at Tsuzuki with one of those 'we should get going' looks.

No sense in delaying, then. Faster they got in and out less chance there was of being there long enough for Muraki to show up. And he really was curious about the whole business. Curious, and not a little bit angry.
"Fine, let's get out of here," Tsuzuki shrugged somewhat examinately, stealing a paper cup of coffee before heading out the door regardless of any further instructions. Talk to creepy Cordell, find out what happened in the creepy lab, get out of creepy lab. Simple enough.

Gazali followed, then frowned but didn't stop, "How do you know where Ed's place is?" Maybe someone else in the house knew? Because Gazali was pretty sure Seishirou had never been there. Maybe before he came? No, he would have heard about it at some point in time...

Seishirou laughed softly. "Miss raven makes sure we are well-informed," he replied with a smile, before leading the demon onwards. "She's very big on education."
That wasn't quite the truth... nor was Seishirou exactly lying... but it was good enough for now. "Gazali-san, are you a betting man?"

"When I feel the odds are in my favor," Gazali answered, choosing not to comment on what he'd said before. "Why? You have something to bet on?" He couldn't begin to imagine what on Earth there was that he could bet on...not that he didn't enjoy gambling of the mediocre sort.

Gazali pulled an odd, confused face, "What sort of person?" He was getting aggravated at not knowing what the angel was talking about, but couldn't bring himself to say so, as he'd have to actually admit he didn't understand, and that wasn't good for his ego.
