I didn't really doubt Ledger, and Depp could probably do it well, he'd just do the same thing Carey did with him, it's not going to be the Riddler, it'll be Depp as the Riddler. He's going to change the character so it's his own version, not the Riddler we have come to know.

true that but then again he could do something like Ledger did,
lock himself in a room for a month reading nothing but Batman comics with the riddler as the main villian

Whatever way he chooses to play the Riddler is fine with me as long as its not like the Cartoon series The Batman.  I mean LOOK AT HIM!!!

The Riddler, not nearly as complex as Joker, wouldn't need to go to that extreme.
And that would make me sad. That version of him always makes me think of Batman Beyond's scarecrow joker henchman.

I SWEAR TO GOD THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT WHEN I SAW HIM THE FIRST TIME!!!!
I even sat to watch some episodes with that sorry b***h in it. HE BARELY ******** MAKES ANY RIDDLES!!! He just asked Paparazzi style questions: Are you Wealthy? Are you single? Are...you...WISE??? (no joke those were his so called "riddles.")

There was that episode of The Batman, with Superman in it. Superman looked like an anorexic. An anorexic that cut himself.
