"Hehe...You know I never told you I was an insomniac...." Long confessed to start off the morning, "I've been awake for almost ten years now..." Long willfully answered as he gloomed over to see Rin clutching a bear in her hands. He never thought he would see that Rin owned a teddy bear
"Cute bear...Does he have a name?" Long asked as he was still in a huddled position of bending his knees to his chest and placing his arms above him to cushion his chin. He only glanced at Rin and the bear. He gave a slight draw towards the bear. He looked Rin for a moment and thoguht to himself.

Rin yawned again, pressing her face against the couch to muffle it. Then she looked back at him, bed tossed hair in her face, but she simply stared through it. "You haven't... slept at all?" she asked, and hint of unsual worry in her tone. She couldn't see how someone could just not sleep, especially for so long! She had to take naps often, when she used her powers. Otherwise she would just be useless, wobbling around barely able to stand.
She blinked at his next question, and then looked down at the bear she was holding. "Kama," she replied quietly, then pulled one hand away to rub sleepily at her eyes.

"When I was little I was able to..." Long spoke as he turned his head to look at Rin, "Resting is something I can't do...Don't tell anyone...in fact don't tell anyone why I stretch so much, it is so that my limbs do not become sleepy or have my body tire...My stamina is pretty much to the point past superhuman right now...But almost half is being used to keep me awake, adding onto that I possess superhuman strength, but it can only function at 40% due to my limiter..." Long spoke tinkering about with the decorative silver belt about his waist, "My brother Byakko told me about all this, and on the bright side, At least I will never get arthritis".
"Kama is a nice name, does it have a meaning?" Long asked as he turned his attention towards the bear in her arms. He noticed that it couldn't be too old or too new, but he deduced that Rin had it for some time and took care of it well. He only reached over and poked it lightly in the tummy as in observation. He only nodded lightly twisting his head and moving his body around slightly to get the circulation running around his body. He began twisting his body from side to side to keep it from getting stiff.

Rin frowned to herself as she listened to him, and then shrugged her shoulders slightly. "Is there something wrong with sleeping?" she asked. It didn't look to her like he'd even made an attempt to, since he was still up, and not even trying to lay down and rest. Though, he had said he just couldn't...
Limiter? she thought curiously to herself, but didn't actually ask aloud. Instead she agreed to his request. "I won't tell," she promised. "I don't have anyone to tell."
Then she glanced back at the bear and shook her head as a negative response. "No. When I was little, I named him before I could talk right." She blinked when he poked it, but then simply tucked her hair behind an ear, staring back at him again.

"I'm just scared a little bit about dying in my sleep..." Long spoke in sense as he stood up and began stretching his legs about, "Well, now I know that, I don't have to kill you," Long smirked.
"Don't worry I wasn't planning carrying it out...." Long spoke as he loomed over Rin. He didn't understand how she would name something before she could speak right, but he wasn't going to be nosy about him that much or it would make him sound a bit obnoxious.
"How long have you had him?" Long said hopping on the couch, and landing next to Rin as he pushed, poked and moved the teddy bear in various places while it was still in Rin's arms. He could only look between Rin and her Teddy bear with his eyes as he stared lightly. He then looked back at Rin for response.

Rin blinked, obviously surprised by his answer. Die in his sleep? How would...? She wondered randomly if he had some disease, but then pushed the thought away before lingering on it. "Well, that's good," she replied, head tilting slightly as she spoke in a completely serious and honest tone. "Because if some gaurds came by and found I was gone, the last person I was seen with is you." It was usually very hard to tell if Rin was joking or not.
She stared up at him, silent once again, until he'd jumped onto the couch beside her. She swayed slightly in place, not entirely awake yet, and then came to a halt when he began poking and prodding her bear.
She frowned slightly, and then held it towards him. "If you want to see it, just ask," she mumbled, and then slowly responded to his question. "Since I was three, but it's secretly been replaced several times because it'd started falling apart. This one is probably from five years ago."
When she was still young, her father would point off into a random direction, switch the bears while she wasn't looking, and then she'd look back to see it 'magically healed'. That's what he'd told her had happened, and she believed it. But, that trick no longer worked, of course.

((Srry cant post too much for now, I got a lot of studying to do..))
"Ha.. very funny..." Long said as he poked and prodded at the bear even more now, just trying to get on her nerve. He was just playing around, nothing intentional, "I'll pass thank you very much..". He turned his attention to teh window, which apparently, now had some sunlight passing through the blinds.
Long sat up and turned his head to face Rin, "So did you ever keept count how many bears you have had?" Long said as he brought his knees up to his chest. He lightly twiddled with his feet, looking like he was playing with his feet. He didn't really want to tell Rin he was afraid of going to sleep because he thought someone was going to kill him, it would just allow her to get back at him. He was looking at the belt around his waist as it gave a slight jingle everytime he tried to pull it. It was very likely that he would reveal his little secret to Rin, on top of that the belt was a pain to wear around him.
Long knew very well that tapping into 40% of his strength was enough to handle anything, but removing the belt to tap into the other 60% will most likely cause him to go into a rampage that destroys everything. Long however didn't tell Rin about the secrets of his superhuman strength as well. Tapping into 40% of his power well meant that he could over power the average person with his fingers, possibly crush them in the process too.
"Have you ever figured out what my powers are?" Long asked out of the blue. He was being serious, but this all would be the elaborate play of one of his lessons, but it wouldn't turn out to be as active as the food fight and the race. Rin, after all needed a break from the insanity... that was his lessons.

[It's fine.^^]
Rin just smirked slighlty, though it shifted back into a frown when he continued poking the bear. As he declined her offer, she drew it back to her chest, hiding it as best she could with her arms. He was being mean, poking her bear like that... Kama hadn't done anything wrong.
At his question, she blinked, and then thought to herself for a moment. It was given when she was three, then replaced at about seven, and once more when she was twelve. "This is the third," she said with a nod. "But each was custom made by the same person to make them identical."
She fell silent for a moment, partly because she was still a little sleepy, and partly because she was thinking to herself. Her expression became absolutely blank as she did, until she had to raise a hand and cover up another yawn. She really wasn't used to waking up this early... But she didn't want to go back to sleep, and give the spirit another chance to take over. She was glad she'd managed to hold out all night. She'd had... a lot of nightmares, honestly.
She glanced back at him when he spoke. "Umm..." she began quietly. "You obviously... are strong, because you fell on the ground like that without getting hurt, and you also tore the door right down earlier. Oh, and you easily moved me out of the way during the food fight." She paused, trying to think of something else. "And... You can freeze people by looking at them, or something," she added.

"Excellent observation..." Long responded as he looked over at Rin. He lightly spoke, "Very well, this lesson didn't take too long..." Long bluntly confessed, although there was no reasonable explanation.
This lesson was different, this one had more to deal with being open minded and open with thoughts. Rin probably didn't know this, but it seemed to him like he was doing it since the day before he caused her to become rather exhausted. He lightly moved over to allow Rin to rest, "Go ahead and go get some more sleep, "I'll explain more when you can wake up.." Long said now crouching over like a hermit on her couch.
"It's not like nothing bad is gonna happen when you fall asleep, I'll be here by your side when you wake up," Long lightly mentioned, " Not to mention you have a friend that can stay awake constantly...".

Rin shrugged her shoulders slightly. It hadn't seemed to be a hard question, and it wasn't confusing like some previous ones. She'd just thought about it, put various things she'd seen together, and then said her conclusion aloud. Well, she'd kind of thought aloud as well... but that wasn't a bad thing really. Not in this case.
She blinked a couple times to keep her eyes from blurring, when he moved over slightly. For a moment she simply stared, and then allowed herself to lay down on the couch, once again curling up slightly, though not as much as earlier. The bear was held in her arms, snuggled lightly against her cheek.
"That's kind of comforting," she said, and then added under her breath, "And a little creepy..." But, the use of the word 'friend' stood out to her, and she couldn't help feeling a little better. She didn't let the smile show upon her face this time though.
She slowly let her eyes close and with a mumbled, "Goodnight", she fell asleep once again.

Long gave a slight sound of laughter before he responded with a, "Sleep well..." As he rested his hand lightly on her head in attempts to comfort her. He knew that this lesson seemed to quick to aspire, but it possessed more to it than what had appeared, this lesson however was far more in depth and required deeper thinking. But for now, more rest was required, he knew very well that Rin wasn't built like himself, so he had to be a bit gentle went it came to courtesy and well being. That was nearly ironic to the fact that he put Rin through a running course in which he could have pushed her and sent her flying, but that was only part of the lesson not to hurt her.
He would explain things to her once she would wake up and be ready to be taught. It probably would settle in later when she heard his explanation. But for now, he moved his hand through her hair slightly so that it wouldn't be frizzy. Although he was used to having Rin with pigtails, this Rin seemed much more enjoyable to teach now. He now sat down, without having to moved his hand away from Rin. He smiled lightly, "Go kick some butt for a change...".

Rin had the amazing ability to go to sleep whenever she wanted, no matter where she was. If she was tired enough, she'd just be walking along, and then suddenly collapse. Normally she was alone at the time, and woke up hours later on the ground, confused. This was usually associated with the times she used her power, especially when she did it more than once in a row. Yesterday, she had used her power, been taken over by the spirit twice, and undergone Long's tests. Needless to say, she was drained. So, she had instantly fallen deeply asleep once more, out as soon as she had finished saying 'goodnight'.
A very small part of her was aware of his hand upon her head. Leaving one holding the teddy bear tightly to herself, her other hand shifted upwards and rested upon his, very lightly. Then, after a few seconds, she gripped it so lightly there was barely any pressure at all. The spirit was, of course, ranting at her once more inside her head, back in that dark room, but it really did help to have someone around.
This was the first time she had though. Usually it was just her bear that gave her comfort, which was why she'd brought it, but obviously the bear wasn't warm. She could feel the warmth from his hand, and that alone comforted her greatly, enough that it was becoming increasingly easy to ignore the spirit. The most common thing she was told, repeated over and over in her ear, was that she'd always be alone. At the moment, that was being proven untrue, and therefore didn't get under Rin's skin as easily as it usually did when she only had the bear around and no one else.
[rambling 'cause she's asleep. xD;; Want to skip ahead again? >>;;]

((lol whatever works for ya rofl ))
Long felt Rin's hand move her his pale, yet warm hand. Long smirked, Rin didn't look like she was struggling in her sleep anymore. He sat there, quietly and most obediently. His eyes wandered about Rin's living room and in fact had caught on to the various things that caught his odd attention span.
Long's previous lesson, had in fact provided Rin with better knowledge of insight, allowing her to remember things and absorb the information as he would, but not in a massive intake, just the normal human in depth version. Long was in the critical state of thinking, while he was helping Rin to have her thinking level go much beyond literal means of thinking. He was trying to make her mind interpetual. This simply meant that Rin would be able to remember things more firmly and be able to apply outside concepts to the subject. Meaning she could tell Long what would be happening in her dreams. That way, his insight could help out much more clearly now that he would have a clear idea of how Rin's spirit would behave.
Based in his previous encounters with the spirit, He assumed it feared Rin would overpower it. Second, he knew very well that the spirit was not liking Long's company in the slightest because of his influence on Rin, and that that influence was causing the spirit's power to diminish the more Long provided confidence and oddities to the life to Rin. Although, it didn bother him when the spirit had asked why he was helping her. He concluded that this would clearly provide facts that if the spirit was strong enough to kill Rin, there would be a possible connection to her spirit integration, and being able to have a body of it's own. The other theory about the enchantment of the necklace is becoming more and more real. This finally cleared up that the necklace staying on Rin clearly isn't a curse...but it really was an enchantment.

[It's hard when your character's always asleep like Rin seems to be. ^^;]
The only movements Rin made for the rest of the night was to curl up a little bit more, and to grip his hand the slightest bit tighter. This was amazing for her though. Usually she would be huddled into a tiny ball, or tossing and turning so much she often fell out of her bed. But for now his hand, and the bear, were enough to keep her content, though the spirit was definitely going crazy, rage increasing with every passing second. However, she was helpless unless she could get Rin to let her guard down enough for her to take control, or if someone tried to remove the necklace...
But neither of those things were happening at the moment, and Rin was able to sleep more peacefully than she had in quite a while. Because of this, it didn't take as long as it would have for her to recover enough to wake up and not still be out of it.
A few hours after she'd fallen asleep on the couch, at about eight o'clock in the morning, her eyes began to open again. She blinked a couple times, and then shifted only her eyes as she stared for a moment at Long. A second later, it clicked that she was holding his hand and she quickly let go, though not as quickly as she could have. "...morning," she mumbled quietly.

"Good morning," Long smiled lightly as he turned his head to Rin. He gave her a quick observation before he made any questions. He gave a light point towards the window, "Looks nice doesnt it?" Long asked referring to the sun shining in the bright sky.
"So...You looked like you slept really well considering how much you were holding my hand and gripping it lightly," Long quietly pointed out to Rin. She was in fact very relaxed while she slept, and when she awoke, she was in a rather good mood. Long observed that some of his ideas were working, even though he did not mention a pinch in the slightest about it.
Long did in fact plan most of this to happen...although his lessons were thought up in two-five minutes of effort. Now, Rin would be able to explain to him in depth about what the spirit was exactly trying to do. He did however continue leaving his hand resting on Rin's head as he gently stroked her hair. His next method was care, Long's care did work at this point. It was started working when he was carrying her, caring for her in bed, preparing her something to eat, and then now, when he waited by her side as she slept. He figured Rin would need someone who cared for her since her life was cared for when she was younger, it just wasn't acknowledged well enough like what Long had done.
