Actually I never really liked that one of Tifa. Her face is all wrong and they way they make her pose makes her look like a slut. Also while I know Tifa's boobs were big her shirt was never that reviling.

Yeah, I heard that it was a hentai thing. I think I saw something like that on Youtube, where someone made Tifa sway her hips back and forth which also caused her breasts to jiggle as well. Very perverted and sick. I hated it because it portrayed Tifa as a slut. (Plus, she looks really weird) Sorry I had to be so negative, but I'm just really against it. Also on deviantART, I noticed that people make fun of Tifa by drawing her overweight. Of course, I've seen one with Aeris overweight too, but the majority was Tifa. I was really offended. So yeah, I hope you can understand where I'm going.

Everyone always seems to get offended by images depicting someone as fat and I can never understand why. Same with sexual images. It just seems silly to me to be offended by it and nobody really seems to give me a logical answer.
This really shows in FFVII girl listings. For example, I saw a person post the nude version of the youtube bouncing Tifa, and fans and antis went bolestic alike. But the next page I see a violent flash where Aeris pours gasoline on Tifa and lights her on fire. Antis do nothing but praise it and fans respond with an equally violent Tifa ripping off Aeris' head. Yet no offensive complaints.
Sorry, but that just blows my mind.

People in America can be odd people, can't they? Being an American, I can say this with emphasis... I guess it is because people here are so used to violence. It will piss them off, but in the terms of being offensive, then it isn't so big. Like, seeing a picture of Sephiroth stabbing Aeris will piss me off to no ends, but not a lot of people see it as offensive, which is kinda wrong. Yet, sex is a different value here in the states. If something is made out to look very odd or off, like making Aeris and Tifa looking like shells of their former selves and being obscenely overweight or depicted as ugly guys... It just plays on the head. Tentacles, Bukkake, Rape, all those hentais piss off a few people, make some laugh because the character they hate is in pain, and get some people off. All just how minds were raised - Violence is something that is there and always will be, but you have to treat Sex with an utmost respect, closed mind, and almost hateful tone if shown in a way that is not normal to the majority of the US. Basically put, people here in the States enjoy violence, and because of real life events, violent video games and movies, and other factors, violence is often just passed on. The government hates this fact, but it's true here, violence is something people don't even see as surprising anymore, and is often laughed about or applauded... Yet, something of a sexually nature are always heatily debated... Because of the outlooks of sluts, pimps, whores, and other things. Virgin eyes, ears, minds, souls, when it is broken people want to try and get an image into their head of what is right and wrong. It is a very confusing tree of rules, each branching out into sections and sub-sections that say what makes someone horny, someone a slut, and so on... All so many rules that overlap each other and just make people do things like hentai and make a big fuss over what they believe it depicts. *sigh* The States, such an amazing place... Never had to deal with that kinda stuff in PI, every hentai thing published there is softcore and loving and not any of this weird stuff. To this day, never knew a Filipino that'd draw any of that stuff unless it was either really hot or really romantic. Peheheheh

Of course, some countries feel that there isn't anything taboo about it. It's also how we are raised and our culture/religion. In my culture, I'm really restricted from all that stuff. We have to practice modesty. I remember that it was taboo for a woman to look at a man who was naked if she was married, so yeah, one example. Of course, it might be different for you since you're from another country, but here, we want our children to be shielded from the evil stuff, the violence, the sex, the vulgar language. We want them innocent, protected. I guess you can say, most people here are modest. Depicting Tifa as fat is offensive to me because that just destroys her image. Not only that, but the person who drew her basically wanted to shove in our faces that they don't like Tifa.

But for that whole fat thing I find it a bit offensive as well. I mean its good to see art where they are super skinny like a stick, but when they are made fat on purpose, as you said to destroy her image, thats when it is offensive.
