Cassandra nods and then grins. "Well, here goes nothing!" She slams her hand down on the DEFRAG button, trying to brace herself for just about anything that might happen.
"You don't have to break the button....," murmured Athena, shaking her head at the newbie indulgently.

As the button is pushed there is a strange humming noise that whirs to life all around them.
Suddenly, parts of the hallway begin to move and rearrange themselves, as the computer sorts them, fitting them together properly and closing in the spaces between the programs.
Matter seems to shift, ripple, and warp around them until the hallway is straight and smooth like others that they've seen before it.
"Hmmm. Good call Blanche! Well done to both you and Cassandra."
He takes a tentative step, making sure that the hallway is solid before striding down it to join the other two Angels at the end.
Hu Li waits for Blanche to follow and then takes up the rear, his senses on Edge, knowing that traps like this only serve to keep people out and wondering what else might be around the bend

As the group walks into the next room, they get a chance to see that in the North-Eastern corner is another computer monitor and a small keypad. Just to the right of that, in the wall leading to room 23 is a hard to see passageway that they must have missed the night before with the nuclear holocaust that had finished off the monsters. Standing in the doorway, suddenly there are 5 flashes of light and 5 Monsters appear before them to guard this room: "Wow! Someone really doesn't want us in this room!"((Choose your opponents and let's go!))

Athena shrewdly eyes the opponents and makes a beeline for the Mummy, using her Angelic Headband to blind the undead monster and go straight for the jugular, lashing out with a long leg to snap kick into his face.
Cassandra knows she has to strike out on her own this time and makes her way towards the skeleton, hoping her amateur status won't hinder her too much. She balls her hand into a fist and hopes to shatter some bones.

Blanche gulps and looks over the five monsters. She zips towards the Gnoll and tries to kick its legs out from under it.

Cassandra:

*The Skeleton lumbers towards her, bones clacking together. It throws its arm across itself to defend.*
Cass does 15+17 STR&SPD for 32 dam.
Skeleton defends for 11+15 DEF&SPD for 27, taking 5 dam., LIFE = 219
Athena:

* The Mummy moans in otherworldly pain as it is blinded by the bright light. It throws it's arms up.*

Mummy defends for 22+20 DEF&SPD for 42, taking 34 dam., LIFE = 966
It is blinded for 3 turns (-1 to Dodge, +1 to Athena's Dodge)
Hu Li:
*Eyeing the remaining opponents, Hu decides to leave the Troll for Wizard. He dashes at the Troll anyway, running right past the slow moving Zombie, Just as he passes by him, he leaps back towards it, ramming his elbow into his lower back.*

*The Zombie is confused by the swift angel and tries to dodge once it realizes it is the target of the attack.*

Wizard:
*Staying right behind Hu Li, in the the blindspot of the Troll, Wizard is suddenly in the ugly's face when Hu Li attacks, a glowing blue knuckle going for its face. SHOCKING PUNCH!*

*The Troll grunts a little as it's hit, but it's used to pain and regenerating so it just defends.*
Wizard does 43+33 STR&SPD for 76 dam.
Troll defends for 12+19 DEF&SPD for 31, taking 45 dam. LIFE = 705

Gnoll:
*Cackling like a hyena, the gnoll slices at Blanche with his axe.*

*The Skeleton knocks back Cass's hand, and slices at her with his rusty sword.*
Mummy:
*Faster than undead should be able to move, the Mummy takes a swipe at Athena with his plague ridden hand.*
Zombie:
*The Zombie swings back his arm, trying to club Hu with the rusty spike on it.*

Cassandra sucks her stomach in, moving back slightly to avoid the swipe to her stomach by the rusted blade.
Athena spins out of the way, hoping to doge the rotting hand with a scrunch of her nose.

Cassandra staggers back at the blow before bring the metal-plated shin guard of her leg up, executing a round house kick.
Athena flies into the air, unleashing a Wind Swept attack at the still-blinded mummy, hoping to push it back and wound it at the same time.

The futuristic fighter uses her Future Sight to dodge, her visor giving her the exact predictability on how to move her body to avoid his blow.
Athena is repulsed and swats at the flying body part, using her arms to defend herself as she continues to remain suspended in mid-air. "That's disgusting, you foul ceature!"
