Ophiuchus WalkingTree Ophiuchus WalkingTree Devaroze I just crushed my friends eldar army with my catachans for the first time in like 2 years. Just thought I'd share that. Congratulations! Any tips for beating Eldar? Ophiuchus: What a wonderful idea! Please, for the love of God, post pictures. by the way, are you using the red-armored troopers or the blue ones? If memory serves, the blue were the regular army while the reds were the officers. you are correct - blue for Marine/ MPs and vehicle crews, red for captains, vehicle crew captains and elite soldiers, tan-brown for underwater MP's... and then the "blue suits" turks. My question was more along the line of "are the red officers going to simply be red versions of the troopers, or are you going to convert their caps and long coats as well?" Sorry If I wasn't clear. officers in FF didn't have long coats, so they'll just be red versions of the blue guy. 3nodding It won't be easy though - Cadians AND Catachans don't match up very well - but the Cadians are the closest. lol well good luck

Rufus did. But everyone else did not. Even the turks only had a formal jacket.

After finally getting around reading the battle report of the Imperial Guard against the Tyranids I've gotten the impression that large battles (2500 pts. and beyond) are quite a tempting option. So good in fact that an extra infantry platoon, two extra sentinels and an extra Leman Russ tank are quite tempting for my current army of 2.000 points. And all that for a mere 500 points, that's one of the best things about the Imperial Guard.

so my Guard saw their first action today
496 points of Guard v.s. 495 points of Tau
i had deployed my storm trooper squad, one leman russ, one armageddon pattern sentinal, and a Hardened Veteran Squad
the battle resulted in the loss of my entire storm trooper squad, the sentinal, the Russes battle cannon(which it did better without) and the majority of my hardened veterens.
before the game was called due to lack of time though the Veteren Sgt. Managed to take out the Tau commander unit with his chain sword. His Chain Sword thats awesome
