Brooky D, go back to your windmill and enjoy your vacation. I know how walking around in those wooden shoes tires you euros out. Now if youll excuse me I have a McD's burger made of puppy meat to go chow on while driving my hummer and using a cell phone.

Is banter towards each other allowed, such as the remarks of Kento and myself, mocking Lt. Brookman for being quite the stereotypical European?

I thought Koreans ate puppies as hamburgers?

No, I'm not in the Netherlands right now, I'm someplace happy and garden-like, with a pot of tea on the table, a nice comfy chair to flop into like some spineless person with no actual spine, a big stack of books to read, a pile of DVD's to watch and several bored lady persons to bugger. Hence the PJ's, I'm the Heffner of the UK fer now.

*coughs*

s**t..

Necrons bitches, rar and such and other things. NECRONS. Nothing else, NECRONS NOW!

So do most players, but it's one of the drawbacks to playing the army. You've got some of the most resilient troops in the game, and, in my opinion, the best infantry gun in the game, and all for three more points than a space marine. There has to be some kind of downside.

I love modding my Necrons. So many possibilties. Like my Lord has Wraith shoulder plates, A Scarab wear his parrot would be if he was a pirate, about ten blades from Gauss Flayers stuckon him in random places, a pirate hat [I was bored] and a Space Marine head under his feet. He looks kinda like a killer porcupine space pirate from the future.

Also, heavy destroyers aren't as useless as they seem. People always think that it's better just to pack down loads of standard destroyers to target heavy armor as well because they have more shots, and you auto glance on 6 with every gun. Thing here is, how many of those shots will hit? Sure, you'll possibly have a fair amount, but how many are gonna be 6's?
Destroyers:s6
H. Destroyers: s9

Say you're targeting something that's armor 12, you get either one destroyer or one heavy destroyer, and any of the shots hit, hypothetically. would you rather have to roll sixes or 3+? In the end, there's strengths and weaknesses either way.

Don't forget that it's your only AP2 weapon other than the Particle Whip center hole, and is handy for causing Instant Death on Marine Characters and Crisis Suits.

-THE MONOLITH CAN SNIPE!!!
I'm not messing around here. I've checked the faq and even had it verified by a GW employee. The model directly under the hole of the particle whip is hit with an AP1 hit, while the other models are hit with AP2. So say a chaplain is attached to a veteran squad. The squad is hit with a whip and the chaplain under the hole of the template. You score a direct hit, You actually roll the chaplain seperately and he MUST be removed! Even if an independant character is in a unit, if he's under the hole, he's gotta go!

The Particle Whip is actually only AP3, not 2.

Don't forget too, that the defender can reposition the template on the squad, so lnog as it covers at least the same number of models.

And, you're pushing it with the stat posting, people.

Abuh? That's a new one on me. I have never in my life encountered any defensive template move. What page of the BGB is that on?

it is intended against sniping with templates, certainly... and was in the rulebook since 3rd edition came out

I just double-checked the rules for Blast Weapons, Ordnance Weapons, and Template weapons. I'm not finding ANYTHING like you describe. Given that Evok says that it's been here since 3rd edition, I'm guessing it's a rules artifact that no longer exists in 4th ed. Especially as it's impossible to snipe with any Blast or Ordnance weapons (other than the Monolith, which is specifically intended to) because of the wording of the 4th ed. Blast rules. And besides, the PW is an Ordnance weapon; after it scatters, that's where it falls, end of story.

When hit with a blast weapon, the firing player places the template, and the defender decides what models are taken from the squad. That has been in place to prevent sniping. There is no template moving other than scattering for ordnance.

The monolith can snipe, its designed for it, check the faq on the GW site.
