As for looting non imperial stuff. Its with permission, I need to find the link but this was an official answer, the orks could loot anything as long as your opponent says so. Thus the ork monolith Ive seen.

As for orks weapon preference. I believe it was "Crusade for Armegeddon" where an ork hunter expained why they used shells instead of las guns. Saying the orks had no respect for las guns. No noise to them, theres something primal in the percussian of automatic weapons in groups.

As for tank sized energy weapons though, I think it would depend. If its flashy enough Im sure itd be a big favorite. Big lights displays and all that. Also some energy weapons like say the prism cannon do cause explosions on impact. So Im sure theres exceptions to the noisy part as well.

i think it sounds kinda odd that an ork would ever even be capable of understanding (let alone driving) a grav tank of any type it just dosn't seem orky. They want speed but how could they drive somthing that requires that much skill? imperial vechicales are simple which is why they use them.

Who ever said that the grav engines were still intact? Orks are as likely to replace the grav engines with an exprsseo machine, as they are to drive it. Plus, the orks don't need to understand something to make it work. the power of WAAAGH! can make it work, as long as they believe that it works.

A conversion was once suggested in an issue of White Dwarf - the grav engines still worked, but the Orks couldn't get it to move, so fans and jet engines were strapped to it to make it go. Don't know whatever became of it, but it was a hilarious mental image.

That is a good idea, maybe the imperial guard people would also like to hear it.

Orks on ice, that would make a great show. It would be funny to see orks weld ice skates to dreadnaughts and killer canz. Those crazy orks and their homicidal schinanigans.

Holy crap, you made me want to make a christmas diorama. Have you ever seen that far side comic where there are crusaders figureskating, and the subtitle is, "Ice-Crusades"? That's what it reminded me of.

BUt anyway, I wont do that because I was thinking of making my remaining orks into moredakka flash gitz. Anyone have any experience whith 'em? Causee my mind is not yet made up.

I have used flash gitz before and found them useful.

Basicly, Orks are green due to them being plant-like, and all that. For those of you who disliked Science, the Gene's of Plants have a certain Cell in them, that causes there color to turn Green, due to Light and all that fun stuff, hence why Orks are green.

But I am hoping that there are some of you who can give me a hand, helping me come up with some stories or something that seem realistic to changing the color of an Ork. Green is nice, but I have seen Red Orks and Blue Orks, in fact, my new Army I am working on is Blue Orks, and let me tell you, they are comming out very nice.

I say they are Ice Orks, ones who travelled down to the lowest part of there planet, and the harsh coldness turned there blood blue, kinda like human's lips turn purple in the cold. But not killing or freezing them, but changing the way there color is. Doesn't sound so bad does it?
