"I-I don't know." Jessica said, still blinking out of confusion, her eyes fluttering open and closed. Her powers had always worked... then again she had never teleported anyone beyond herself and Katherine, maybe it was a lack of power on her part, or maybe there was something about Ace that disabled her from teleporting him. However, neither of those things seemed to make sense in her mind.
It was only moments afterwards though that Jessica felt herself getting shoved back into reality. The flames continued to burn the trees, if they didn't move they would be caught in the flames themselves. "Ah!" Jessica announced, spinning around to gaze at the flames dancing on both the ground and trees. "What are we-?" She stopped, not completely her thought. "I should've just let you get out of this on your own!"

"I couldn't get out on my own!" Ace replied, remembering at how afraid he had been just moments ago, but what felt like hours to him. He turned around and tried to find a path that was safe enough for the two to leave the forest. There was none.
Ace turned back to Jessica, thinking of what to do, and he had to think fast. What was there to do? There had to be something!
"Ah! I can't think of anything!" he shouted as he began to lose the last of his hope. "Should we just run out?!"

"Can't you do something with your powers?!" Jessica yelled at him. Sure, she had her own powers but she didn't feel like wasting more energy on the boy. She had already strained herself in attempt to find him. "Or are you really that useless?" She then added to Ace angrily, glaring at him as she did so.
The boy was causing nothing but trouble.

"Me? All I can do is mess with peoples' minds!" Ace exclaimed, trying not to get angry with Jessica. Sure she annoyed him, but now was not the time. He then thought about it for a while, but could not think anything up. What was there for him to do. For him, his powers had always been there for him, but now they seemed weak and useless.
Soon, without wasting much time, Ace got out his magic Ace card. Right when he held it in his grip, Ace felt weightless. As light as a feather. Like all of his troubles were gone and a wonderful dream had come true. Mabey he could do something with his powers. Or help Jessica out at least,
"Here!" he shouted and handed her the magic Ace card. If the card made him feel wonderful, then it just had to make her feel somewhat different. Mabey it would make her transport more easily.

That's it? Jessica thought to herself, surprised that that was the extent of his powers. Well, the boy utterly failed when it came to combat then. Jessica on the other hand had powers, she just simply wasn't that well trained in them. She hadn't quite figured out all the kinks and glitches in her abilities, teleporting someone other than Katherine proving that fact.
However, Jessica's thoughts were averted once Ace handed over to her the Ace card. At first she merely stared the card, blinking in confusion. What? Did he expect to play cards at such a time? Though within moments she soon realized that the card was far from what she had thought, and that instead of teaching her a game it seemed to boost her powers.
Quickly, she grabbed Ace's hand. There wasn't much time to concentrate on the spell, she had to do things fast. Closing her eyes, only concentrating for a moment before the two of them disappeared.
[I'm going to have them appear in some random place since she didn't concentrate. Like the middle of a lake or something -gigglesnort-]

[ Yesh, like Crystal Lake ^^ ]
Ace soon felt himself being plunged forwards and his feet had left the ground. All of the oxygen in the world had been gone. He cold no longer breath, and his chest seemed to sink into his bones. Is this what transportation felt like all of the time?
"Ah!" he gasped as the transportation had stopped. Ace gasped for air, and breathed his hardest. Still gasping for breath, he kneeled down to the floor, looking around to see where Jessica had taken them.

Jessie my love Surprised by Ace's touch, Jessica's immediate reaction was to recoil away. However, she had to discipline herself not to do such a thing, even if she did have bad feelings towards the boy who was becoming more and more of an annoyance. A frown lingered on her lips as she then stood there, closing her bright blue eyes of hers making it so that she was gazing at the darkness of the back of her eyelids. Concentration was what she needed at that moment, and when she finally got to the point where she could teleport the two she found that it couldn't be done.
Opening her eyes, Jessica looked towards Ace, blinking out of confusion. There had to be some sort of reason why she couldn't transport the two of them out of the forest with her magic. The only explanation would be some sort of enchantment or block of some sort that was acting like a wall trapping them inside a building.
"Ace..." She finally said quietly, with that this-isn't-good tone in her voice.
---
Calypso, turning towards Aiden just as he had turned to her, stared back at him without saying a word. Not only was she confused by the sudden appearance and disappearance of the boy, but she was also puzzled when it came to Aiden's determination. What was the rush? The two of them were immortal, they would be together no matter what. Right?
"Shouldn't we worry about our curses first, and then get married when we have nothing to worry about?"
Aiden's face got dark as he looked sternly at her. Blinking he said, "Calypso. I can die just as easily as I can live... I will live as long as no one kills me, or I'm ordered to kill myself. I can bleed to death just as any normal being. I can be cut by a sword just as easily as a regular being. But I can never die of old age... Do you get what I'm saying, Calypso? I want to get married before something like that happens to me. I don't know if you can die by the sword or not, but I can!" Grasping her hands tightly, he said, "Please, Calypso."

A camp fire burned in the forest with the makings of the days lunch hung over it. The scent hung in the air and floated through the woods. The Three members of team omega sat on the large hill from which they could easily see onto the campus. Leon was off to one side taking apart his AMR and putting it into a large case. He had just gotten done finding his sister using the guns. Naomi was on her computer as usual doing something involving student records and Charlie was in a fold out chair reading a book and waiting for something interesting to happen.

Trac hopped through the trees, waiting for his friend to enter, and there training sesion to begin once more. The forest was darker then usualy, since some clouds covered the sun. He hopped into a small hollow in a large oak. He stabbed a dagger to it, and listened for pulses through the ground and trees.

Leon shut the clasp on the large black case that held his precious sniper rifle. It seemed almost as if it had been forever since he had last sat on the leather sofa in his loft in England with a bottle of beer and watched a good futbol game with a few of his buddies. Elizabeth would have usually been in the nearby chair cheering with them with a glass of water. He missed that while he was on assignment and it was usually the small things that effected him the most.
"You alright there chief?" Charlie looked up from his book. He didn't mind the assignment that they were on at the moment, anything in his opinion was better than Siberia. The climate was nice and mild here. He could sit back and relax here until he was needed. Back home he would have gone to the local club and pick up a chick before heading back to his place and enjoying his guest and and a glass of brandy. He chuckled to himself and looked back down to his book, "We'll be done here soon enough chief. I mean how hard could this job be?"
Naomi hit enter on her keyboard and cracked her neck, it was stiff from looking down at her screen. "I don't know, some of these students are more powerful than we thought. Angels, demons, sorcerers, some of these seem to have traits that are unknown to us." She had just cracked the student records of the school and was looking at them as she spoke. Everything from social security numbers to grades were listed in front of her face. So long as she could hack she was content with where she was.
Leon spoke up, "Alright then, let's figure out what we need to do next."

Salanica stalked her way through the forest, her eyes still on scan, waiting for a sign, any sign at all... All she knew for certain was that Trac was never going to force her into training again after this! Her ears picked up on the sound of a nearby camp fire, and she felt an instinct to go towards the sound. But resisting the urge, she looked up towards the tree's, her keen nose trying to sniff Trac out.

Trac heard the vibration, and slowly crept out, and scurried across the forest floor, making small squeaks to get her attention. He quickly bolted into a badger set, hiding his scent from a regualr nose. He sighed with relief when he knew there wasn't anyone home.

Her ears almost pricked at the sound of someone running and... rustling? Where was he hiding...? Folowing the sense of hearing, she snuck along the forest floor, her eyes on watch, and her nose slowly inhaling the forest air. She smiled, fond of the smell. Lost in the sense of smell, she forgoty about her sense of alert, and found herself settling down on theground, playing with the leaves on the floor.
A sure sign... that Winter's coming... She told herself, now lying back, staring up at the sky through the bare tree branches as clouds covered up the remaining sky. At least, it looked like clouds... she sniffed again, then sighed, wondering wether or not she should just stay there or continue her hunt after Rigorin. After all, he was the one that kept tricking her into these things... She couldn't tell why she kept going along with it though... maybe because deep down she enjoyed the thrill of an endless game of Hide and Seek...

As soon as he felt her settle down, he shot out into a tree, straight of her."I wander if sh likes acorns.."He picked one off the oak, and dropped it, directly above her face as he leaped over her, running as fast as he could into another tree.
