Ryou paused when he was a fairly good distance from his apartment building. Okay, so he had gotten away from Bakura for possibly the whole day. This was good. But now Ryou wasn't sure where to go or what to do. He could go to the cafe for a while and hope Bakura would leave as well.
Ryou decided against that. He had been in such a hurry to leave the house that he hadn't grabbed any money. So that meant that he would have to go back to the apartment some time that day, to either get the money or get something to eat.
Ryou wished that he did have someplace to go as he walked slowly along the snowy sidewalk. Malik's apartment crossed his mind, but he quickly decided against that as well. He had already been too much of a problem to Malik, and besides that Marik might be there. Ryou shuddered at the thought of Marik.
Another place he thought of was Khalid's, but Ryou realized that he didn't know where the mysterious Egyptain lived. Besides, whatever Bakura and his agreement was, it might-- and probably did-- involve himself. He remembered the strange expression on Khalid's face when he told them all to leave.
So there he had it. Only four places he could think of-- including his own apartment-- and still nowhere to go. Sighing heavily, the boy made his way to the park instead, brushing snow off of a park bench and sitting down, putting his elbows on his knees and cupping his whole face in his numb hands, shaking from both the cold and supressed tears.

Bakura rolled something between his fingers, trying to make up his mind. His face was tensed in deep concentration, as he weighed pros and cons in his mind. Of course, if he did this, the boy could die. If he didn't he'd just have something sitting around with no purpose at all. Which would be a waste, right? Of course.
Ryou cautiously returned to his apartment after a while, his face flushed from the sudden change in temperature. He hoped that Bakura was gone, and let out a sigh of relief when he didn't see anybody in the living room. Hanging up his coat on a rack, he froze when he heard a noise from the kitchen. He had been wrong that Bakura had left.
Bakura clutched the knife he had just got from the kitchen, approaching his hikari, who looked oddly like a scared rabbit. Or deer, ready to bolt away but still curious. A wicked grin flashed across his face, causing a look of horror to come into Ryou's eyes as the boy took a step backwards.
"Wha--" Ryou's eyes fell on what Bakura had in his hands, the knife in one hand and something in the other.
"It's a present for you, Ryou." Bakura said, a sadistic look in his eyes. "Merry Christmas." He lunged forward, easily pinning the boy against the wall with the knife pressed to his throat so he wouldn't move.

(I'm a little off time-wise. Just say that everything that happened on Bakura and Ryou's part was an hour or so before what's happening with Kira and Malik. So about an hour later, now, Ryou's time is caught up with Malik and Kira's.)
There was a loud, frantic knock on Malik's apartment's door. Ryou sobbed on the other side, pounding one fist against the wood with his other covering about half of his face, blood dripping down his cheek onto the floor. He had just run from his apartment all the way here, as fast as his body was able to move without killing himself. "Malik? Please open up!" He cried, praying to whatever god or gods there were that Malik was home.

Ryou collaspedhis arms flailing out and grabbing onto Malik, his body still shaking with sobs as his head was bowed towards the floor. "He's--" Ryou choked out, trying to get a grip on himself, though he was too far in hysterics to say much. "Sick-- Can't believe he'd-- Bakura--" Ryou spluttered, not able to form sentences either.

Ryou covered his face with his hands, his sobs slowly dying away as he forced himself to calm down. Trembling, he tilted his head to look at Malik. In his left eye socket was the haunting Millennium Eye, Bakura's 'present.' Blood spilled from the corners of the golden object, spilling down his face like crimson tears.
Bakura hadn't dared insert the eye on his own self, for fear the Millennium item would reject him or not work. That would be a waste of an eye. So instead he had gorged out Ryou's eye, putting the Millennium Eye there instead. To maybe see if it'd work. Or whatever Bakura's twisted reasons were.

Kira had pulled herself up looking over the couch.Seeing this she covered her mouth "oh my god.." she muttered softly.
