Btw, don't know if it'll help at all (probably not) but perhaps you could check out One Pound Gospel. A "boxing" manga by Rumiko Takahashi.

Aaah, that would have been a good idea, too... It's too late, though, the storyboard is pretty much finished and we start filming on Thuesday next week. I need some suggestions. As some of you know I'm working on my first sketchbook that I'm planning to sell through cafepress to make them some good money while I take just a few bucks if I'm lucky (annoying how they basically want you to charge an arm and a leg in order to get some money)
So anyway, I have a few stories that I want to tell but I'm not very good at writing, I just like plotting a lot which is different obviously. I came up with two formats that won't be a pain in the a** to illustrate but that's not what I need help with.
Since cafepress only allows you to have one product of the same class by store (you can't have 2 journals in one store, you'll need another store to add another journal unless you pay them which I don't plan on doing) I was thinking on three things.
1. Make the stories into individual comics by chapters. (kinda like what manga does, 20 pages chapters)
2. Make one magazine Shonen Jump style with different stories. Let's say 3-4 stories means 60 - 80 pages magazine.
3. A collection (trade Paperback) of the first Volume by stories. (Ex Vol 1 of The Crew has chapters 1-10 = 200 pages)
Either way 3 can work but which of the 2 would you get? (of course there's a difference in price and no guarantee that you'll like every story in the magazine) In fact I'm not sure if I can even tell one of the stories, it was meant to be a hentai story gone less hentai. I can't soften it anymore. In case that you wonder what the other two stories are, is The Crew comic if you lend me your characters (actually the names since I created that particular universe anyway) and The Super Hero dating sim that I wanted to do but in story format. The sad thing is since I can't buy Director nor pay for each CD sold I can't make it interactive like I had planned but whatever, it is still nice IMO.
Amalgam and other stories for later if people like what I do.
EDIT:
Forgot to mention the biggest difference. Individual chapters would have their own colored cover. Volumes would have new art for the cover. The Shonen jump esque would have a mixed cover.

I personally would go with choice #2. Its cheaper than 1 if people want more than one of the comics, easier too as they don't have to wait for you to swap them out unless you were to make multiple sites.
You could optionally work the comic like Channel 101 and have people vote on the comics in the issue (this would work best if you weren't the only author) the ones with the highest votes would continue while the less favored ones would get canned or could get reimagined. That alos might be a good position as you wouldn't have to focus on things people didn't care about.

Another thing is if you want to unlock everything without it being a pain in the a** you should play the survival mode and collect everything. Especially the rares. Once you have the two pages of crap (or was it 3?) you unlock every outfit for every character. I think it's 3 regular items, 1 uncommon and 1 rare per character plus the X shaped X-Box and don't remember what else. Good luck and have a look at gamefaqs.com if you need to, not like it will spoil your game. I doubt you like to play as every character multiple times to unlock every outfit.
