Kai sighed and looked at Feinel..." Lets go home." He was getting tired of the opposite weather and the people there. Some were loyal friends and others where idiots.

Feinel nodded,"Wonderful idea." People here were so odd, she messed the normal air of the Fire Nation. She moved closer to him as if for protection from the odd world of the Water Tribe.

Moving with slow elegance, Saril's arms summoned water to him from the nearby ocean as his face scrunched up in concentration. For just over half an hour he had been trying to replicate the technique he had used that fateful day, the day he had lost his bride and his innocence, but he was having very little luck.

With one final sweep of his arms, this time the two of them clapping together in front of him, the two tendrils of water he had successfully gathered swirled around each other and hurtled towards the target. A faint shimmering as something caught the suns light was the only way that the Waterbender knew he had turned at least part of his watery missile into ice.

Braided lengths of prematurely white hair covered with metallic blue spirals bounced as the Waterbender moved faster than he had during the previous attempts, practically ignoring everything he had ever learnt about fighting as he rushed through the technique. Sweat ran down his bared arms, his heavy fur lined coat folded atop a large rock, and even that was pulled towards the small orbs of water that had gathered before Saril.

Slowly but surely his arms topped their movements, simply pausing in the air with his fists clenched and pointing outwards. A fresh layer of sweat began to accumulate upon Saril’s forehead as he concentrated on the first of the orbs, the one in the center, and tried to change its temperature.

With a speed so slow that the Waterbender began to doubt the use of chilling the water to form ice, the ball turned into a solid lump. Throughout the whole of his attempt, one thing had been fueling Saril. Rage, the lust for revenge.

Jing sat calmly in the center of the pond, his eyes were closed. Every few seconds the airbender would press his palms into the water, and let the air flow from the bottom of his hand and ripple across the water forming intricate designs in the around him. The purpose of this exercise wasn't immediately apparent to the curious onlookers, but once they realized what they were seeing the applauded vigorously. Members of the water tribe had never seen an air nomad “water bend”, or at least that’s what it looked like he was doing…..

Jing made his way out of the water and through the crowd. As he moved through the crowd Jing couldn’t help but feel that something was amiss, but as hard as he tried he just couldn’t place his finger on it.
Then it hit him, or more accurately they hit him. The last thing the young airbender saw before he lost consciousness was a familiar symbol: The traditional Fire Nation symbol superimposed behind two crossing broadswords, and what appeared to be the skull of an avatar.

Having caught a ship to the Northern Water Tribe, Jonah didn't forgot to bring a few bags of sand with him to bend. Since he wasn't a waterbender, trying to find earth in this place would be trying to find a needle in a haystack. Almost everything in this village was made of ice, water, or snow, and virtually impossible for Jonah to bend.

Upon entering the ice village, the temperature got to him almost immediately. He wasn't used to the cold climate, being born and raised in the Earth Kingdom. Jonah started to shiver, but he did his best to keep it under control. After traversing from the ship onto the snowy ground, Jonah was surprised to see that he could stand. It was amazing what water could do, and Jonah had to give the waterbenders some credit for making such a fine city.

The first thing he did was tie his sand bags to his belt, two on each side to give him 4 bags of sand. He then went over to the parka stand, needing to find some warmth. Most were blue to represent a Northern Water Tribe citizen, but Jonah wasn't a waterbender nor a water tribe citizen. He searched through the parkas to find a nice short black coat that seemed to match his attire. Without hesitating to buy it, Jonah slipped the salesman a few gold pieces and put the coat on. He was now ready to face the cold of the Water Tribe.

Jin docked the boat and tied it with thick ropes. He turned around and saw the Northern Water Tribe. A small tear fell from Jin's left eye. He wiped his face and slipped on his Navy Blue Jacket. He put up his mouth mask and continued forward to find Jonah around.

"It's been a while since I've been here. The climate is very much around my likings."

Jin smiled and thought of Seth's house, which could make a great temperary house for Jin. He walked and walked untill he reached Seth's house. Jin looked up and saw the window Jin climbed up was still open. He hopped into the air at least six inches and grabbed a pole. Jin sighed and said to himself,

"Times like this I wish I was an Airbender."

He climbed up into the window and shut it. Some snow got into the house while he was gone. Jin shrugged and put his stuff down. He rested on the bed and waited for his strength to return to him. Jin was wondering how Jonah could survive any Water Tribe if he was an Earthbender. Jin closed his eyes and waited quietly.

Jin couldn't rest at all. After minutes of resting, he just couldn't sleep. It must've been because of the texture of the Earth Kingdom. Hard and rocky. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. Jin drank some water from his bottle. This gave Jin a little more strength. He got dressed and opened the window and climbed out of it.

While walking in the huge city, an idea had just came up to Jin. Since Jonah was an Earthbender, he wouldn't be able to survive the cold climate here. Earthbenders are use to the warm climate. Earthbenders will probably buy a heavy coat. Probably an expensive one too. Jin remembered Jonah carrying gold pieces. He started to run in the direction the Jacket shop was.

Once Jin reached the shop, he saw Jonah outside leaving the shop. Jin's mouth had a grin on his face. He ran towards Jonah. Jin yelled,

"Hey Jonah!"

He wanted to ask Jonah, why he left his friends? But, he'll save that untill Jonah brought up the topic.

Jonah turned around to see that the one who had addressed him was the spy he had earthbended out into the open back in Omashu. How he had found him left him with a few options. Jonah did not tell anyone about his leaving, but then he made the conclusion that the spy had read the note.

"You!!"

Without hesitating, Jonah reached for one of the sand bags that was at his side, bending the contents into a solid stone coin in front of him the size of a round shield, cracking his neck and popping all of the joints in his upper body to show that he meant business. Jonah would not hesitate to beat the waterbending spy into submission if he continued being a pest. He wanted nothing to do with this child-like bender.

"Unless you have been spying on us again, you wouldn't have known I would be here! You are a disgrace as a person, and as a bender!"

Seeing that Jonah was in a wide open ice field, with a stone shield and three bags of sand, he wouldn't hesitate to attack the waterbender unless he was sincere about showing no harm and proving it.

Jin stopped in his tracks. He backed away from Jonah. Afraid, Jin was. Then, Jin asked him,

"Why did you leave your friends? Weren't you supposed to teach that Xiao kid some few techiniques?"

For once, Jin was thinking about other people's needs.

"Look, even in my Tribe, you're still more powerful than I am. I know neither of us want to fight each other."

He readied himself for any attack Jonah was to throw at him. Right hand front, left hand back, both palms facing Jonah.

"But, if I have to fight you, I shall."

More afraid he has become. In his mind, Jin was thinking of how stupid he was to challenge Jonah!
PostPosted: Wed Dec 06, 2006 7:15 pm

Jonah could feel a bit of truth to the bending spy's words, but he had reasons for leaving. His business was none of the waterbender's business, but he could give a few reasons as to why he left the Earth Kingdom.

"There are many more earthbenders in the Earth Kingdom that he can learn from. I for one haven't finished my training, and I was not cut out to be a teacher."

Jonah wasn't really interested in throwing down his bending skills to teach someone else, and this really wasn't helping his decision to reconsider.

"You have a very bad ethic when it comes to addressing people. I should teach you some manners. Fear not, I'm not going to cause anything serious, but this should teach you to wise up."

Accepting the waterbender's challenge, Jonah shoved his stone disc foreward with both hands, sending it at high speed towards the waterbender. Even if he was in a foreign land, Jonah was still on earth, although it would take him a while to summon it to his aid. For now all he had to bend with was his sand, that of which he could solidify into solid rock via earthbending.

Jin was afraid Jonah would fight, but nonetheless, so would he. Jin saw the fast-moving Earth coin rushing towards him. Thinking of a way to counter the attack, Jin had no other choice but to raise the snow beneath Jonah feet up into his ankles, turning it into ice. Probably, Jonah would cancel the coin to protect himself. If not, Jin was in a world of pain.
