Alice twirled at this, looking at the girl...And then at a horde of demons.

The girl had been on the run from demons for several days...And, barely had anything to eat. She'd managed to scrape supplies up from nearby areas..but...
She couldn't run forever...The demons were closing in...And in a fit, she had been blocked into the abandoned home...
With but a single water bottle to sustain herself. She drank it all, and rationed as best she could...But...She couldn't last long like that.
And, after what felt like an eternity...She fell...and was fading.
"Dad...I'm..sorry..'
But..As she was about to pass over....weak from hunger, and with naught a purpose...Something brought her back.
A touch of healing...and a warmth. She couldn't open her eyes...but she could feel the warmth of someone carrying her...Taking her away.
"D..Dad..." she croaked out quietly, gripping with the last of her strength. She...she missed her father. She'd been separated from him...And...And...
'No..he's...fine. He has to be..'
She just..had to hold on a bit longer.
'Just...like Mom..always said'. She thought, as her only companion..A meager, will o wisp spirit....
Fought it's DAMNDEST against the intruding demons..It's own feeble, nearly translucent body....

"You'll need your strength. I haven't seen you around here before. Were you new to Inaba..Or..?"
He didn't know the girl's name...Nor did he recognize her. At all.
And, while his girlfriend went out for exercise. [he always loved watching her go], he figured he could make sure the new girl was going to be fine..before heading out on his own.
She was near dead only a day ago, after all. She had to be recovering..

She hesitated...She couldn't talk freely. Not as things were....
Everything was so much of a blur....So much of it, she couldn't remember...
Yet, as she felt a demon floating by....A spirit of the gales filling her with energy..she could feel a bit warmer...
A familiar sensation...And a green head of hair.
Immediately, the girl launched from her chair, starting outside in a hurry, before planting her heel in a demon's face....One that had thought it was in disguise....
The wind was protecting her, even now....And, even as the demon was dispersed...She could feel that lingering warmth...The familiar power..
