Without a word, Kaito went off to get the dishes as asked.

"Well it's more than just a change of scenery," Kyrie pointed out. "Here he'll have the opportunity to really move around and get his strength back. In the clinic he's pretty much stuck. Wasting away. He couldn't get ready to travel again."

"Makes sense," Shoneah agreed.

"Ready to go off and get himself killed," Kyrie sighed. "He tired out just coming here. If I hadn't asked him to join all of us, he would have left entirely instead. Antsy is about as mild as you can get for how eager he is to be out of there."

"Will he be fine waiting for Winter to be over?" Lancaeriel asked, sitting next to Cael and snuggling against him for warmth in the cool air.

"He said he would," Kyrie shrugged. "And to be honest, I think the walk out here convinced him he's not ready."

Suddenly the pile of leaves by Miyuki burst into the air, and Kaede appeared in the middle of it all, bouncing and pouncing at them.

Amir, on the ground beside Daeron and Iorlas, burst into giggles and clapped his hands excitedly. Andarien and his other Pokemon weren't far behind Kaede, and as the moved to join the group, Kaede ran over and pounced playfully on Amir, making him squeal with laughter.

Kaede squeaked with playful laughter as Amir tried to catch her.

Andarien smiled at Lin and came to sit next to her. "Hi, Nana," he said softly. "Something smells really good."

"Miyuki's treat," Wren spoke up, approaching the fire from the opposite direction. "She was kind enough to take over dinner for me and Lancaeriel tonight."

"And we can taste it as soon as Kaito's back with the dishes," Cael added, looking around.

Kaito was just returning with both hands full. "You're all so impatient," he teased them.

"Well, now is our chance to find out if this is indeed a good dish," Wren grinned as she accepted a plate from Kaito.

"Maybe we should make sure to save some for Mailon," Kaito suggested once everyone had the dishes they needed. "He'll probably be hungry when he wakes up."

Everyone did help themselves, and they thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

It wasn't until nearly lunch time the next day that Mailon finally emerged from his room. He opened the door cautiously and looked out into the hallway before stepping out and closing the door behind himself. He was dressed in his forest garb again, not that he needed it: the cold didn't bother him after all.

Slowly, he made his way towards the kitchen, intent on going outside, though he had no idea how he would be received.

From the hallway, Mailon could hear rumbles of noise outside, and he slowly made his way to the kitchen, and from there, out of the tent home. The sun was high in the sky, but the air was cool - not that it bothered him - and a breeze made it feel cooler than it actually was.

He looked around to see who was around, and spotted Miyuki approaching the camp as well as a few others he didn't recognize. Unsure of what to do, he hesitated.

Mailon felt relieved when Miyuki addressed him, simply because it meant that he wouldn't have to go up to someone else. He knew that some of the people here knew about his past with Kyrie, but he didn't know how many, or how much; and he had no idea how anyone would react to him, aside from the few of them that he had already met.

"Hello, Miyuki," he called back softly, smiling gently at her. "I feel ... well, I think, considering it all. How ... how long was I asleep?"

He felt a bit sheepish, but he really didn't know how long he'd slept. He knew it had been near evening when he had arrived, and he knew it was noon-ish now, but he didn't know how many days might have passed while he had been asleep.

Mailon nodded, glad he hadn't slept longer.

"This ... tent," he said hesitantly, looking back at it over his shoulder. "It's unlike anything I've ever seen. Outwardly it appears so small, yet inside ... there are so many rooms, and I'm sure I haven't seen them all. How is this possible?"

He was floored by the very idea of it.
