::Motoko saw what seemed to be a tower rise out of the sand some ways off.::
Well that can't be good... But I have to find the Kazekage!
::Using as little chakra as possible, she created a clone and sent it to examine the tower.::
"Try not to get caught too quickly and find out as much as possible."
::The clone disappeared in sand and Motoko was alone in the desert again. I have to find the Kazekage!

The boy wiped some grime off of his hitai-ate, coming up from a tunnel behind the Chuunin team he'd been assigned to for Village-sweep duty. No traps, no enemy ninja... it looked like all was going well.
That was, until Chuunin and some of the few uninjured Jounin rushed to the walls, geared for battle. He caught snippets of their hurried conversations and joined the mass of Suna-nin gathering to protect their home yet again...

His white rabbit mask flashed beneath desert-traveler clothes as he stood next to Motoko. "Motoko-san. Please, follow us. We are nearing the Kazekage..." Around her, she would notice a dozen other SAWA, the elite of the elite Sand-nins appear for a moment before speeding away to the east. The Family symbol on the throat of the SAWA speaking to Motoko was Sabaku, one of the more well-known Sand clans. He bowed momentarily before bounding off himself, not waiting to see if she followed.

arrow outside Sunagakure
*the 10x10 group stopped marching...then...4 of them aimed the tips of their weapons at the wall where Chuunin and Jounin were gathered...*
*The sphere at one of the axe's tip glowed a brilliant red, and out of nowhere released a stream of flames at one part of the wall...*
*the 2nd sphere glowed a cold blue and from above the chuunin and jounin, icicles formed out of the humidity of their sweat and the natural suspended water of the desert...the icicles then proceeded to rain downward...*
*a 3rd glowed a bright yellow...and shot forth large bolts of electricity, strong enough to shatter the points of the wall where it struck, as well as electricute those who were foolish enough to stay in the way of it...*
*the 4th glowed a dirty brown...and the soldier wielding it then struck at the ground...sending shockwaves at the wall...upon reaching the walls, nothing seemed to happen...that is...until the ground beneath the walls gave way to a huge chasm that swallowed that part of the wall and all those too slow to jump away...*
*the continued this barrage as the others marched past them towards the village*

arrow Sunagakure Wall
Areno's eyes widened perceptibly as he leapt away from the wall... Fire, Ice, and Electricity did not claim many lives, as the Jounin were very quick with the Shield of Sand. But the shockwaves were quite unexpected, and a number of Genin and Chuunin were lost to the chasm... some leaping back out of it, others never making it.
That is, until the marching forces were suddenly... forcibly halted. The ground beneath their feet was quickly becoming viscous... quicksand.
In front of this mire stood a lone boy, wind whipping trailing bandages across his torso, and blood-matted hair tossed behind his hard-lined features. His gaze held Death entrapped, and indignation roiled his form.
"This is the end."
Behind the youth, Chuunin and Jounin regrouped, erecting traps and defences while preparing for the assault. Several yelled at the boy to come back, but they were duly ignored. He was the monster, after all... even after services rendered, no one much cared what he did with his life.

*the semispheres on the soldiers' chests all glowed a cold blue...and the quicksand beneath them became very, very wet, and as they somehow floated to the top of the watery, sandy mess, the water suddenly froze into ice...they then continued their march...*

Man: hahahaha...quicksand...priceless...to think that He would have predicted that they'd use the sand wall and quicksand...this will be easy...and it's only Phase 1! hahahahahaha

Areno still didn't move from his position before them... he was a tad confused at just what jutsu they used to pull themselves out of quicksand... but not terribly surprised. That was the standard opening move of Hidden Sand...
He laughed quietly, to himself... they had no idea what they were in for. No idea at all. The Kaguya shifted his stance backwards and ignited his air-barrier while re-strapping his many weights... filling them even further with sand.
"Come, then. Meet your end..."

::Kazekage closed her eyes to sense her surroundings. She opened her eyes and touched the wall carefully. *thinks* If I had more chakra, I could easily escape such an area but that would require me taping into my dragon blood as well..Tate would surely come back if he sensed that much chakra. That also means I am more vulernable to my dragon self and can easily changed if I am not careful...I am weak without my other chakra and I am weak with it. I cannot afford to lose my village to such idiots!*::

*the front line slowly began to encircle the being they saw before them...*
*one of the cloaked figures came forth and spoke in a low and creepy voice*
Cloaked Figure 1: It is not our ends that we shall meet...
*the next line, which stood behind the figure, raised their axes...the sphere tips all glowed blue and they each slammed the ground in unison...an icy shockwave would ensue the slamming...and before Areno's eyes, the ground he stood upon became ice...as well as the ground all around for quite some way, even extending partially into the village...thus sealing his sand beneath the ice...the 2nd line kept their axes on the ground...fueling the ice...preventing it from being easily cracked through...the 3rd line moved to the front and guarded the 2nd line...*
*the figure then moved part of his cloak aside and revealed a sword...the sword glowed with a blue aura...although not clearly seen, the sword seemed somewhat attached to the hand...*

Areno didn't seem surprised by this, either. Many ninja believed that removing the sand from a Sand-nin made them weak. This was foolish, at best.
He dropped two rocks on either side of him, out of his pockets, and shrugged. Kneeling, he ripped out his shin and shaped it into a sword. "Fine, if that's the way you want to play it... perhaps some light discussion while we battle."
Areno was directly before the black-cloaked enemy before the words would have fallen upon his/her/it's ears, bone-blade sizzling through the air for the side of where he supposed its neck would be.
"Why are you attacking us?"

*just as quickly as Areno appeared before the figure, the figure disappeared before Areno's sight...*
*a small tap would be felt along his bone blade as the figure vanished from sight...from the origin of the tap, about a bit more than half of the blade would then be covered in frost, chilling that part of the blade to the core...the next impact can cause the blade to shatter...*
*the voice came from behind him*
Cloaked Figure 1: Why...have you not realised your own sins? you must be destroyed...all of you who have not seen the light...
*the figure still had his body concealed...only his blue blade was visible...*

Areno sighed. "What is this? A raiding party from Hidden Snow? When we're done here, I'll make sure to see your Village in ruins." He sent a quick pulse of Chakra through the bone-blade and infused it, driving out the frost and reconfirming the incredible structure of Kaguya bone with reinforcing energy. He spun, with a slashing sweep for his opponent's mid-section... simultaneously bursting bone shards out of his body in EVERY direction.
"You want to destroy us because we don't believe what you do? That's foolish, everyone is different, and has their own choices! Mine is to kill you, to kill everything that stands in my way... and leave the world soaked in blood and sand..." Two small horns began to protrude through his forehead as he spoke, moving his hitai-ate upwards.

*the figure backslid a short distance away to avoid the blade, and he took the blow of the bone shards...but the shards would only be deflected off his body by the armor he wore underneath...glancing at the small holes now in his cloak, the armor seemed different than the armor the soldiers wore...it seemed more technologically enhanced...any bone shards flying at the soldiers would also be deflected off the armor...bone shards shot downward at the ice would scratch it a bit and then deflect off, but the energy-feeding of the 2nd line caused the ice to repair itself as if the scratches never happened...shards shot at the sky...well...fell back down after a while...*
Figure: do not bother with your promises of attacking Snow Village...I'd be disappointed if my comrades haven't already brought them to their deaths...and now look...look at those horns protruding from your head...I would call you a demon, but it seems you'd enjoy that comment...

Areno grinned savagely. "Indeed, I am a demon. But that is none of your concern, I harm my enemies and anyone who intends to stand in my way. Sand Village may have its faults, but they do not bother you... So get the HELL out of my home!"
The two rocks dropped beside Areno disappeared in a puff of smoke as he leapt back into the cloud created by the as of yet unknown jutsu.

Cloaked Figure: Freeze it...
*a dome of ice quickly covered the cloud up, along with Areno inside it...from inside the dome, giant spikes of ice shot upward from the icy floor and between each spike, there would not have been enough room for one person to even squeeze through...the pure amount of ice present would leave the insides freezing cold...*

((ooc: That is just completely random to lock someone up but allow them to easily escape..Tate is a dork..XD I dont care if he just wanted to talk to her or what not..*Half sleep when posting*))
::Kazekage noticed the door, but continued to regain her chakra. Once she was ready she opened the door and stepped out looking around her carefully. She smiled happily as she noticed Chiiro.::
"Is everything okay at the Hidden Sand Village?"
::Chiiro looked up at the Kazekage and nodded slightly trying not to make her worry.::
"Shiko, I dont know how to say this. But you might have to break your barriers. I know its crazy especially after that attack with your father. I dont want to see you change, but you are weak without your other self. You are a Shinuki afterall, I dont care what they say. You didnt lose your true self!"
::Kazekage stared at her friend in disbelief.::
"I created those barriers in time to save myself and others. No wonder why I am the last living, I am the only person that can actually go through those changes! The war didnt kill them, it was their change."
