Because they're not really teens yet..teens are mostly around 14 - 16..

Even the average failing high school junior would be able to comprehend the meaning of that. Heck even freshmen would be able to. Your excuse is very illogical simply because you could simply use a dictionary to look up the meaning, it's not neurosurgery. While name calling shows your lack of maturity.
