The static electricity in the child’s hair gently crackled and snapped in her ears as Amaya moved from side to side with her mop. While it wasn’t quite as large as before, the majority of her tresses stood on end with only the upper most layers weighing down on the levitating strands. It was amusing to the eight year old, but it wasn’t the audibly giggling kind of fun. However, when paired with the melody drifting about in her head it was difficult not to laugh. Instead, Amaya continued with her bouncing and swaying, happily moving about her task. Even though some of the incidents of the day had been somewhat unsettling, the black haired Keiji was incredibly happy with her immediate position in life. She loved learning about the shinobi abilities and she loved putting them into practice even more. Even though it was pushing the boundaries of her introversion, Amaya had to admit that she also enjoyed the company of her classmates and her various teachers, Akeru included. Thinking of her classmates, the girl tried to figure out how many of which clans there were. There were two Inuzukas that morning in class, though she hadn’t seen the girl for some time now. Taka was a Hyuuga, but Amaya was fairly certain that he was the only one. Sakurayuki had left out her family name, so she was probably a part of some clan or another. Why would she leave her family name out? Odd as it was, it wasn’t a matter of importance in the moment.

No, what was important was cleaning up the bloodied floor. At least the only “pool” was being soaked by the rags she had placed earlier. However, some of these spots were particularly difficult to pick up because they had so much time to dry and they had sunk down into the low lying grain of the wooden Academy floors. One of those bothersome spots was holding Amaya from her steady progress, so she stopped her swaying and her mental tune to focus on the splatter. Placing the palm of her hand on top of the handle, the tiny child leaned into the mop and scrubbed the floor with as much force as she could apply; which, when solely accounting for body weight, wasn’t very much at all. There it was, something that she could teach Akeru without critiquing him. ”Akeru-san,” Amaya’s voice was as quiet as always and her eyes stayed down to the floor where she struggled with her task. ”If you come to a stubborn spot like this one it helps to lean into the mop and use your body weight to put some extra force into the mop. It’s a bit of work, but the spots come up eventually.” The child shot a quick smile up at him before lifting her mop to check. She almost had it, but she could still see the faint outline where the puddle had once been. Then again, it was entirely possible that she had been staring at it for too long and was just imagining things now.

A small foot quickly passed by the young Hyuuga's face, stepping back a bit, afraid that the girl might not have the control to do such an advanced technique yet, though both of them seemed to have a pretty okay control over the more advanced techniques. The basics........... eh. Those seemed to be a foreign concept to the pair. Maybe he should try another one of those this round...... What's the worst that could happen? Takami decided not to ponder that thought. So much could go wrong that he cared not to think about it. Maybe he should lighted up the mood a bit......

"Anyways, Your feet don't smeel like rainbows and sunshine either missy! I thought that someone was waving a sweaty gym sock in my face." She would get back at him for that eventually.

A sharp elbow in the side brought Takami back into reality, his instincts causing him to move into the hit, taking a harder hit then he should've, though it didn't hurt enough for the Hyuuga to make a scene.

"Ouch!" the boy exclaimed "And now. What am I going to do? Hmmm, I guess you'll just have to wait and see."

As soon as he had finished speaking, the boy's eyes made way to the ground, the wheels in his brain turning. Should he do something tricky and risk hitting the girl? Or do something so plainly boring that he could be sure not to hurt Rinkou?

Takami didn't know quite what he was going to do yet..... Maybe he should just let his body work free of his mind, maybe it would let him do something good, or maybe he'd hurt her. The boy wasn't sure quite what was going to happen yet.

Before Takami knew it, his foot was creating a mostly 'circle' shape in the ground around him his body spinning slowly with the motion of his foot. The young Hyuuga's back was facing the girl now, and carefully the shinobi bucked his left leg behind him, like a horse would, but apparently not soft enough as he felt the ball of his foot making definite contact with the girl's stomach, her being flying back towards the floor behind her, the brown-haired boy instinctively turning on his heels and making his way towards the black-haired Uchiha.

Dropping the his knees beside her, his left hand reaching below her head, propping her head up, and his other hand moving to her side, the cliche "I'm so sorry" and "Are you okay," flying from his mouth as he examined the severity of her wounds. She didn't seem to be hurt overly bad, but her knew that he had hit her harder that he should have, probably harder than he had to date!

Takami made his way to his feet, brushing the dust off of his cloak , and then extending his hand down towards that of the girl to help her up. It was the least he could do.

"Again, I'm really sorry" the boy awaiting her hand to grasp his, and awaiting the sarcastic comments that he knew would surely follow his obvious failure. "Also, we should probably rest for a little bit, but if you wanna get in more more try before we do, that's fine with me......"

The girl's stomach was hurting a lot after that, the Hyuuga was spouting his apologies and worries at her, but she didn't care. He was careless this time, with his attack. She slowly got up with a wiggle and a waddle. She had really no balance after all this, she was a little tired, and in pain from all of that. She did need a rest, but before she did so, she proceeded to slap the boy, not too hard, but a good one to maybe knock some sense into him.
"Time to rest, would you mind getting me some food?" After slapping him, she expected him to slave over her, which was a good enough punishment for kicking a girl in the stomach. she then found a soft mat to just lay down on for a while, just to regain her energy and relax her body.

As soon as she found herself done with the handseals the teacher was quick to give her a new task. "Eehhhhh!!! But... but I just finished the last one... I need a break...." Hoeru was quickly silenced by a quick sermon from the teacher about not being lazy and somehow in the middle of it she found herself completely tied up. "What! How... when did this happen?" Given instructions to the new task Hoeru grinned. "Bah! This will be easy" This was not the first time she'd been tied up. Her brothers did this to her all the time. Sadly she had yet to manage to get out of their knots but she figured it would have given her enough practice to do this in an instant.

Gathering her chakra she focused on releasing the knots. It took a whole lot more concentration then the hand seals. Poor girl was going to go home with a giant headache. Feeling one knot finally untie Hoeru smiled brighter.. Haha! Success! This was going to be a piece of cake! On to the next one.

The amount of chakra necessary to perform the previous task was more then the girl had predicted. Her head felt fuzzy for a moment. Hoeru had been planning on doing another but then thought against it. There was no way she could do another knot. It felt like some zombie had just sucked half the life force out of her. No, the girl had to recover before continuing on. Pity that being tied up prevented her from doing certain things while resting. Sitting there she found herself staring at the wall. To try and ease her boredom she tried counting tiny little dots she had never noticed existed before.

With her chakra reserves now refilled it was time to get another knot untied. The first one had gone just perfect so Hoeru was sure it would keep going that way. How hard could it be? So far it had been easy. However so far for the young Inuzuka had only been one knot. Who knew what the other 9 knots had in store for her. Focusing her chakra Hoeru tried to untie another knot. Longer and longer she focused, her eyes closed tightly, no more like squeezed shut she tried her best to work her charka in a way to release another knot but nothing was happening. "Come on... come on...." Hoeru muttered underneath her breath in hopes that somehow luck would shine down upon her but she only got nothing. Releasing the chakra Hoeru gasped for breath. Dang her chakra was down quite a bit again. Apparently her charka limit sucked.

"Shiro-kun????" he heard a female voice call out to him. Why's it so dark? .... It's warm, so... Grass tickled the back of neck as he pieced together his current situation. Guess I fell asleep... He quickly sat up looked around, his eyes settling on Sakurayuki... he was supposed to be help her. To his dismay she appeared to be down. Thus he have to settle for helping her to on the last training exercise of the day. It looked like the day was almost over, and Sakura was a little disappointed that the end was approaching so fast. Having fun always seemed to end quickly... almost too quickly. Deciding to make the best of the little time she had left, Sakura walked alongside with Shiro and together, they started walking back to the classroom.

Just because water conforms does not mean it is any lesser an element.

Even though Akeru didn't understand exactly why Amaya-chan was so happy to clean, he also didn't let her enthusiasm trouble him. He wonders how often she had done this before... She seemed so well-versed in the art of cleaning! Needless to say, her upbeat energy was also quite welcome... It set a certain warm rhythm to their current self-assignment, and soon enough, the sound of her steady movements also enabled him to better concentrate on his own division of the work, as if the metronomic beat she prescribed was even natural for the scenario.

The more he carefully worked, the calmer also he grew, and this mundane repetition enabled him to - even though it wasn't quite a job well done yet - bring his current output to somewhat the level of standard acceptance. He wouldn't know exactly what was standards for cleaning though, but judging by how Amaya-chan did not correct him yet, it would seem he hadn't made any further fatal errors. The thought itself was pleasing that he was doing something right and he hummed a happy tune as he scrubbed the linen head of the mop harder against the floor.

When she gave another piece of advice, he stopped scrubbing to listen for a full moment before he returned to his work. That was an excellent idea from Amaya-chan actually, though not necessary for him in particular - he wasn't lacking in arm strength after two years of practicing with a nodachi and his height also offered a further advantage. He wonders if it was more tiring for Amaya-chan to do this cleaning business, considering the nature of her advice...

While Amaya didn’t note it consciously, she matched up her cleaning to the gentle humming of her superior. The tune in her head changed in nature to match his and soon enough she was humming along. It was quiet and high pitched, but it matched the child and her nature beautifully. Gently, locks of black hair swayed back and forth with her movements. The Keiji worked along the line of blood, surely making progress in their combined efforts to clean the room. With the melody floating about the room, the work was effortless and time seemed to fall away. This wasn’t exactly what the child had envisioned for her first day at the Academy, but she wasn’t about to complain. It had been an interesting, dynamic day and she had learned quite a bit in the past few hours. She had been a part of a rapid development that she hadn’t predicted, and it was interesting to see just how off her view was of the school.

With a curious eye, the child looked over through her lashes to see that the Uchiha was making impressive progress. That is, impressive compared to how he was doing earlier. It seemed that the rhythm was helping them both to work quickly, so Amaya decided that was the best thing to keep him working as well as he was in that moment. That was one thing that the child did have a clear understanding of; sometimes it wasn’t the verbal hints that assisted a person most. If one was to learn, they had to feel safe and comfortable in their environment. It was even better if they could set that tone of themselves. Akeru had when he started humming. So, instead of fighting it with her words, the child emphasized it and encouraged it with her compliance and contribution. This knowledge that she possessed wasn’t the conscious kind, it was a technique that she had been raised with. Amaya’s parents have been so encouraging and flexible that it had been ingrained in their daughter and gave her a special kind of presence.

There was yet another spot that the child came to that decided to give her some trouble. Gripping the handle of the broom tightly, leaning into it, the blood stain eventually started to lift. If Amaya had heard the questions going through Akeru’s mind, she probably would have been slight embarrassed. She did this quite often, but it was still difficult for her since she was so small. For her age, the black haired Keiji wasn’t weak, but there were certain laws of physics that often worked against her. However, that wasn’t about to stop her. No, instead she would just forge ahead and find a way to do anything that fit with her. That seemed to be an appropriate solution. Amaya wasn’t about to start depending on others.

Just because water conforms does not mean it is any lesser an element.

The gentle music that filled the classroom was quiet but pretty: it was an old song his mother used to sing. Though he was unaware of the words to the song back then, and to this day there are numerous holes to what fragments of the lyrics he did remember, just humming the familiar melody gave a pale sense of warmth and even made him happy. He did not know when Amaya had decided to join in, but the light soprano of her voice melded well with the low keyed notes to the song. Even though the person most precious to him had sung the song in times of great melancholy, it was nice, this moment as well... That the melody was also given a chance to have a lighter, brighter meaning. The hint of melancholy was still there to the song, and he wonders, as his mind meanders over the words he did know -- 'you’re a miracle I only met once' -- that matched up to a certain stanza of the melody -- what meaning really was there to the parts of the song he didn't know...

To begin with, the song was addressed to someone, that was for sure. It was generic in that sense, but he wonders what exactly could be meant by the poet-narrator telling someone "they were everything". Could such strong truths even exist...or even actually be truths...? It made him feel a little cold to think that much into it... By experience, people were after all so easily prone to hate rather than to love. That was why, when relationships were just starting, like right now between him and Amaya-chan, they were purest in those early stages. His eyes lowered, and the song drifted to a close even as his repetitive movements with the mop became slower and slower...

Why does he feel like he is cornering himself into a situation he won't be able to easily find a way out of?

Pulling in to the present, the child happily listened to their harmony. It stirred a happiness in her that warmed her from the very soul. Amaya knew that she was in the right place. This was where she belonged. While she didn’t know the reasoning behind it, the blacked eyed girl knew that she was in the right place, this was her future; especially so if the shinobi was filled with people like Akeru. She knew it wasn’t likely, but it was nice to meet a friend so early on. To make matters better, this was someone who wanted to take the small girl on as a student and to feed the wild curiosity that dance wildly in her eyes, betraying the typically calm exterior. That was the secret to the girl; even in her most guarded of times she would be betrayed by her eyes. Her father, Yukio, also told her that he felt like he was being pulling in; that something deep inside of them was gripping him and whatever it wasn’t didn’t want to let go. Amaya usually brushed it off as her father being the poetic that he wished he was.

Even after Akeru’s song was finished, the girl continued to sway along with her work. It was one of the ways that she motivated and entertained herself during her tasks back home and the method held strong at the Academy as well. Her eyes shifted over to the man, still concealed behind the thick row of lashes that occasionally batted in one direction or another. It seemed that something was distracting Akeru since his productivity was slowing. Was it something to do with that song that he had been humming? It wasn’t surprising; after all, smells and sounds were two powerful links to the past. However, the child needed him there with her if they were going to complete the task before them in due time. Due time, in this scenario, was the undefined moment when her classmates would arrive back in the room – or her new sensei for that matter. It would be no good if the duo put all of that time and effort in to be caught at the very last second. They were close, they just needed to push through the finish.

In an attempt to keep Akeru focused and on track, Amaya began to hum a different song; on that she wasn’t sure exactly where she heard but had been ingrained in her mind since. That was one of the greatest woes of childhood: it was much like being drunk; you were there and everyone but you remembers what happened. Gently, softly, the girl began to hum once again, allowing her melody to float around the room. Singing was one of the few things that she truly loved to do, so she had practiced this song many, many times in the past. There were no words, simply the purity of the music driving itself.

Just because water conforms does not mean it is any lesser an element.

The notes of a new melody seemingly reinvigorated his limbs, as the slowing pace of the scrubbing became his former constant again. Akeru could not help but be grateful for Amaya-chan's decision to not let the steady pace they built up to fall away to silence. Had she not begun a new song, he...he probably would've become too lost in thought. But without silence, it was easier to focus on noise, and the noise kept his mind off more troubling thoughts. He also did his best to repress any further swelling doubts, after all, it would seem the less he thought of this, the easier this cleaning task became.

The sounds of familiar voices made him stop cold in his movements. Judging by the noise, they were further down the hall, and with every passing moment, came closer. His agitation grew: there was no doubt about it now, people were returning from the previous lesson in the courtyard... His face paled, brows furrowing, as he refocused on the task at hand with some difficulty. What else could he do? Panicking wouldn't get this done, and besides, Amaya-chan had done so much work already... Fortunately, there wasn't much left to attend to, the worst of the blood stains were gone, but some stubborn dark brown spots here and there refused to leave the back row.

He wished that there was something more effective than warm soapy water... But it couldn't helped, there wasn't time to run back to the supply closet and flounder around. He didn't see any free floating bottles of chemicals the first time around, and he doubt that was a careless oversight. The custodian probably had good reason, in case shinobi children had the brilliant idea to try and pick the lock... There was no need to send the Konoha youth to the emergency room.

Though the girl was enjoying her humming, her work, and her companion, her voice was stopped suddenly saw Akeru’s attention drawn to the hall. The child listened closely, her ears not as well trained as the Uchiha’s, but it only took seconds for her to pick up on the sound of her classmates returning. Well bloody hell. Her partner was frozen and there was still some work to do, but there were some spots that needed more attention than others. Looking down the trail, Amaya was glad to see that their mess was minimal anymore. Well, in all honesty it was her male companion’s mess, but she was the catalyst so there was a little bit of blame to put on her too. Looking back over at the man she noted that he was trying not to panic. At least he was making an effort to now. That was the most comforting part of the unfolding events since he tended to spiral pretty quickly. However, that meant that the Keiji needed to take advantage of what she had been dealt with, so she took on a bit of a leadership roll.

”Akeru-san,” Her voice was quiet so as not to risk being over heard by the people travelling towards the room. As she spoke, Amaya continued working on the little spots that riddled the floor. ”It has been soaking for a little while, but I think it will still take some muscle to get up. Please go tend to the stain in the back of the room under the rags.” The child knew that she could handle the mess, but she also knew that Akeru was far stronger than she was and would have a better chance at lifting the spot in a timely manner. Sure, she also could have left it to soak a little longer and make it easier to lift, but that would also stand out the most to any of her classmates. The spots were getting smaller and smaller, farther and fewer in between. That was comforting, but Amaya knew that this was going to be a speed game now and in order to make that happen she had to focus on her task while keeping Akeru calm and focused on his task. Hopefully the extra force needed on the large, setting stain wouldn’t cause too much strain on his arm since, she imagined, it was still sore. If it was too much for him then she just hoped that he would have the sense to call her over instead of toughing it out. Why in the world were people headed back? Had the new sensei showed up? No, they were probably doing the same as she had and were looking for their instructor. They had all been put in an odd position and it was difficult to deal with, so she understood the uneasy nature of the class at that time. Heck, she was potentially the worst culprit in the matter since she was the first to return to the classroom. Then again, she really couldn’t be blamed for having trained so quickly.

Teaching
Description: The hall way has been cleaned, but Amaya is going to need some help if she is going to get the classroom cleaned up before her classmates come back. Hopefully, she can teach Akeru how to clean so that things go a bit quicker.

Just because water conforms does not mean it is any lesser an element.

Akeru did not do well under extraordinary pressure. It was the reason why he scored only in the 89th percentile of the Medic-nin Qualification Written Exam, despite the fact that he had prepared long and hard beforehand. Granted, the 89th percentile had not been a bad score, but it was mediocre: especially when your competition had been the rather knowledgeable Takani, Areno, and Senju Ichizokus, all whom had exceptional footholds in various medical-related arts. (That had also been the reason why the substitute Chief of the Hospital had been so shocked when only the young Uchiha among all of the eseinin had been able to identify one peculiar case of poisoning and suggest the right antidote.) He rather liked having backup support of colleagues: being left without said colleagues made him feel quite insecure.

His lack of nerves under strenuous conditions was also obvious, for when she gave him instructions, his face became the color of a sheet of paper. Stain? Back of the room? There was more? They'll never finish! And it did not take much at all for his mind to hurtle towards a full-time panic mode. But his one-way beeline towards hysteria came to a screeching stop when the realization struck him: Amaya-chan was relying on him for this task. He wasn't allowed to fail this... There was much at stake! With a grimace, Akeru marched to where the stain was, and with his foot, pushed the rags off where Amaya had left them to soak. The determined grimace deepened, as he struck the stain with the mop as one would beat at the ruined threads of a favored article of clothing, and began intensively scrubbing.

Out! He urged the stain.

He was sure his colleagues back at the hospital didn't take this long to clean bloodstains from the surgery room! Why was his blood so troublesome?

+5 to Amaya

Cleaning
It was a bit hard to manage with only one hand, but Akeru is quite stubbornly intent to spare the custodian the outrage of cleaning up blood...
