As everyone else said, that is now how friends act. If a friend asks you for help, you should help them, but not if what they ask for makes you uncomfortable or hurts you. Especially if it's just a favor, not something where they truly need help.
"Tanking" sounds like cheating to me, and that isn't cool.
And like Meri said, friends don't keep track of favors and expect payment. As my friend Erin and I always say, "Friends do for each other." It's not service and payment.
Don't fret. If she would freak out and try to guilt trip you just because you didn't feel like helping her cheat, she was never a real friend to begin with.
