Nina found herself awestruck as she looked around the interior of The Chrome, after she and her sisters had checked their bags. It really did appear to be bigger on the inside; it housed a rather large dancefloor, a full bar, a lounge area, a dining area, bathrooms-- it seemed to have absolutely everything that a person would need to stay out all night. There was also a staircase that led to the top of the building. The music was infectious, although Nina didn't recognize the song that was playing; it didn't particularly matter, though, because she could already feel herself getting fired up. She giggled a bit. "This is awesome!" she exclaimed, her voice ever so slightly muffled by the volume of the music despite how loudly she spoke. She looked over to the dancefloor, eyeing the bright, flashing lights above it; she couldn't help but to find herself drawn to them. Whitney grinned. "You wanna dance, Nina?" she asked. "Yeah. You know what, I do! I wanna go!" she hollered, taking her hat off and shoving it brim-first into her back right pocket. It looked a little silly, but she didn't care; she flipped her hair and ran her fingers through it, straightening it a bit. "Whaddaya say, Sabrina? How about you?" The girl looked just slightly uncomfortable. "You know, I think I'm going to pass on this one," she replied.
"Aww, come on, Sabrina! You told us you were gonna try to enjoy yourself!" "And I plan to! I just wanna loosen up a little bit first." "Isn't coming here the point of helping you to loosen up?" "Well yes, but that's not what I meant; I want to get a drink first." "Ooh, I didn't know you were a drinker, Sabrina. How about you grab one for Nina and I too?" "Hah! Not a chance. The pair of you can drink however much you like when you turn eighteen, but I will not be illegally supplying it to you, thank you very much." With a tilt of her head and a quick smile, Sabrina turned and headed over towards the bar.
"Oh well; it didn't hurt to ask, I guess," Whitney said. "Yeah, but we don't need to drink to have a good time! Come on, let's go already!" Whitney started laughing. "All right, calm down! A little while ago, you were patronizing me because I was the one who was too excited!" Nina chuckled and straightened her hair with her fingers again, before she and Whitney headed towards the dancefloor-- they noticed that most of the dancing crowd was around their age. While they were in transit, the current song ended and the DJ came over the loudspeaker. "All right, guys and girls, we've got a killer set for you tonight! I hope you're ready to work up a sweat, because up next, we've got a new song from Ke¢ha, and then we've got an hour-long megamix in store for you! So get ready, because here's 'Die Young,' and remember: When you party with DJ Sammy, you don't even have to try-- it's always a good time!" A new song opened up and the crowd took off dancing immediately. Nina found herself grinning-- and then she was bumped into. Whitney was dancing, and she was the one who intentionally bumped into the girl. "Come on, Nina! Show me what you got!" The girl was letting loose, jumping to the beat, and shaking a few choice parts of her body. "You expect me to dance like that? That's not me at all!" Nina laughed. "That's the point of coming out, though! Nobody knows you here, so you can do and be whatever you want, so come on already!" Whitney grabbed Nina's hands and pulled her to the rhythm, helping guide the girl's body along and in time. After a few moments when Whitney noticed that Nina seemed to be leading, she let her sister's hands go. "That's it; you got it now!" she said with a laugh. Nina's body seemed to be moving on her own, but she was perfectly fine with it; a grin found its way onto her lips. Her movements became subtly more sultry, and she was starting not to recognize herself-- but you know what? That was perfectly fine with her. Whitney looked impressed. "Nina, I didn't know you had this side to you!" The blue-haired girl's grin got a little bigger. "Neither did I!" she said with a bit of a laugh. She wasn't really thinking anymore and allowed her body to do what it wanted-- before she knew it, she found herself dancing a bit close to Whitney, who seemed rather amused; she played along, mirroring Nina's dancing. Within a few moments, she found herself back-to-back with the girl, slowing down their pace just a little; however, Whitney abruptly stopped dancing and stared off in the direction of the bar. "Oh. My god!" she exclaimed, grabbing Nina and whirling her around. "Look at that! Look! Are you seeing what I'm seeing?!" Nina froze for a moment and stared incredulously. "No freaking way."
"It's very nice to meet you, Damon," Sabrina said to a boy about her age and height. The boy was dressed in a sleeveless red shirt and tight red pants; he wore a black vest over his shirt, and a black cap which covered most of his brown hair. "The pleasure is all mine," he replied, his voice silky smooth but simultaneously sincere. "After all, it isn't every day that you get to meet the Gym Leader of Saffron City." The psychic chuckled. "So, what about you, Damon? What do you do?" The boy took a sip from his drink. "Well, right now I'm working towards becoming a Gym Leader," he responded. "I don't really specialize in just one type, but I do find myself drawn to Fire- and Ice-types. I love them." He took another drink. "I admire that aspiration," Sabrina commented. "Keep at it; you'll get there." Damon nodded. "I believe I will, yes. That will take quite some time for me to realize, however. What I'd rather be doing in this moment, instead of working toward that dream, is asking you to dance." He smiled, holding his hand out. "So, Ms. Williams, will you dance with me?" Sabrina looked from his face to his hand, and then back to his face for a moment. She smiled, before taking a sip of her own drink. "I would love to dance with you." She took his hand and headed towards the dancefloor.
Meanwhile, Nina and Whitney were watching in utter shock. "I can't believe this!" Whitney screeched gleefully. "Look at that! Look at her-- she's with a boy! A boy, Nina! Can you believe it?" Nina found herself laughing again-- this was certainly a sight to behold! "Now now, don't poke fun," she replied. "Let's let Sabrina get to her business and she can tell us all about it later." After Whitney agreed, Nina resumed dancing with her, facing one another. Nina found her eyes closing slowly and she moved in time with the beat; eventually, she was turned around, dancing back-to-back with Whitney again. When she opened her eyes, a familiar face was in view.
Pink hair that had been meticulously tended to. A beret covering that hair. A bosom that was ever-so-carefully covered up to leave boys wanting to see just a little bit more. A slightly hiked-up skirt. And she was dancing with another girl.
"S-Sasha?!"

At the mention of Flannery's name, Keegan noticeably paled, and he forced down a large gulp of coffee despite the fact that it was still very, very hot. The next few minutes were then spent coughing and sputtering, and it didn't at all help his case with his father, as Todd continued to watch him, unimpressed and unblinking. He didn't even have to say anything, as Keegan already knew he was not getting out of this without talking, He pushed the coffee mug away from him and placed his hands palms-down on the table. "What do you already know?" he asked, almost afraid to ask.
Todd cleared his throat and set down his newspaper. Without looking away from Keegan, he gestured in the general (and correct) direction of Mt Chimney. "I know there's a giant hole in the side of the volcano. I know that you, Flannery and your friends are somehow involved. I know that Mike's in the hospital because of it, as well, and I'm fairly certain that the rest of you are lucky you're not there with him right now."
Keegan studied his father's expression for a moment before deciding he wasn't getting anything useful - the phrase blood from a stone came to mind. He did, however, get the impression that he knew a lot more than just the obvious things that Karen had probably told him, or that he'd seen on the news. Had the media figured out that Team Magma had been holed up in Mt Chimney all along, or did they think it was something else? Or, did the media even know about it at all? It was highly likely that the whole town did, for certain. And his father watched the nightly news religiously, so it was highly unlikely that he hadn't seen the footage from Slateport, as well as watching his only son get beaten to a bloody pulp on national television. "Well, you're not wrong," the redhead admitted, closing his eyes when his father remained silent, very unusual for him. Almost instantly he was hit by flashbacks from the whole Magma assault; everything from the first crucial seconds when they kicked in the doors, to Mike getting knifed in the arm and laughing it off, every punch, kick and elbow thrown both by him and at him to Mike attempting to vaporize himself in a quartet of Solarbeams while Kasiya ran foolishly toward him...
He shivered, and opened his eyes. It looked like he'd be telling everything, again, only this time it wasn't to someone as open minded as Karen Kyoka. It was Keegan's turn to clear his throat now, and as much as he would rather bash his head against the table until his brains liquefied, but he figured it was best to treat this situation as though it were a band-aid - rip it off and get it over as soon as possible. "...Would you believe that Mike, Flannery and I, as well as a bunch of our mutual friends - and the Fortree City Gym Leader - went up Mt Chimney to storm a base belonging to Team Magma so we could kick the crap out of its leader and essentially exorcise Mike's evil split personality?"

At the current moment in time, about the only thought going through Kasiya's mind was "Oh crap". On the opposite end of the reaction spectrum, Ariados already seemed to have a plan in mind. Not looking overly daunted by the oncoming static, she simply pointed her back end up in the air and loosed a wide-spread barrage of silk threads - a Spider Web - that quickly spread out all around her. The Thunder Wave hit the strands and essentially electrified it, making for an overall very pretty effect. Both Kasiya and Elena watched with wide eyes and made "Ooooh" sounds as it flashed and sparkled, and Kasiya made a mental note that this would be a good way to show off Ariados' diversity in contests, that is if she ever got around to entering one. Of course, the thought of beating Riza was most definitely appetizing so she knew she would get there, eventually at least.
While the two humans were enthralled by the sparkly spider webs, the two Pokemon were far more aware of the battle going on, evident by the spray of Poison Sting needles suddenly shot off by Ariados. The webbing around her was torn to shreds and she raced forward, continuing to fire her Poison Sting until she had taken out two of the Raichu's clones. Raichu quickly retaliated by shooting off a Thunderbolt, and no longer having the protection of her webbing, it struck Ariados head-on. This exchange of attacks brought both Elena and Kasiya back into it, and Elena made a fist. "Nice shot, Raichu!" she called. "Now let's get them with your slam!"
With two clones remaining alongside the real Raichu and no reliable way to eliminate them, Kasiya knew things were looking pretty bad for them. At the same time, she couldn't help but be impressed by the way Elena handled the newly-evolved Electric-rodent, even as it rushed toward Ariados, tail raised high and ready to slam it against the Bug-type. "Sucker Punch!" she called suddenly, remembering that she'd seen it among Ariados' available attacks. The tail slamming down on her was inevitable, and it was almost instinct that made Ariados suddenly raise up her foreleg and jab it forward, catching a surprised Raichu in the stomach. It wasn't enough to stop the attack but it had been a rather damaging strike, knocking the wind out of the mouse and making its other copies all vanish. The tail followed through, however, hitting Ariados hard and knocking her back some. The spider hissed and clacked her mandibles, clearly not happy with this situation at all. It only seemed to get worse when she realized that her leg was feeling funny, and a flicker of static electricity was all her trainer needed to understand what was happening now.

For a solid minute after Keegan's rambling had stopped, Todd just stared at his son, blinking slowly. Keegan, meanwhile, almost immediately regretted blurting everything out like that, having forgotten that humor only worked on his mother, as his father wouldn't know humor if it threw a cream pie in his face. He sank back in his chair a little, desperately wishing the floor would collapse out from under him and suck him into some alternate universe where he wasn't a complete and total idiot. Evidently Todd was thinking something quite similar as his blank stare shifted to his rather infamous look of disapproval. This also came with a problem, as Keegan didn't know if his father believed him, or simply thought his difficult son was just being, well, difficult.
Deciding to bite the proverbial bullet, Keegan sighed. "Well?"
Todd stood up and walked around the table to the sink where he started to rinse out his mug. Keegan didn't know whether to take this silence as a good or bad thing, and he eyed the front door, trying to calculate just how quickly he could get up out of his seat and make a run for the front door. With his father's back still to him, Keegan stood up quickly and silently. "Sit your a** back down, boy," Todd barked at him from the sink, having not moved so much as an inch to turn and look at Keegan. "We're not done yet."
Obediently, Keegan sank back down in the chair. "Yes, sir," he said quietly.
After a few moments, Todd returned to the table, but he did not sit; instead he stood beside his son, looking down at him with a hard expression. "I'm only going to ask you this once, Keegan, and I had better get an honest answer," he said sternly. His voice had a curious edge to it that Keegan couldn't quite pinpoint, though it was equally distressing that he'd been called by his first name, and not 'boy'. "Are you on drugs?"
A strange sense of relief flooded through Keegan then, but at the same time, he was almost offended. It took a lot of willpower for him not to burst into fits of laughter, and even then, he was unable to hold back a chuckle or two, much to his father's annoyance. "No, sir," he managed finally, turning his head to look his father in his eye. "I'm not on drugs." And then, to preempt the next few questions, he continued: "And neither are any of my friends, or at least to the best of my knowledge, they aren't. Look, I know it sounds crazy, but that whole Magma thing, that's all true. It's all linked back to everything that happened at Slateport." Keegan couldn't help but notice that mentioning 'Slateport' seemed to pique his father's interest, though he was also clearly able to see the relief on his father's face. He may not have initially believed his wild tale about assaulting the base of a known criminal organization, but at least he seemed to believe that he wasn't on drugs. "Put on some more coffee, Dad, and I'll tell you everything. Absolutely everything."

It was true, Sasha had found a dance partner she fancied. A cute little thing with short brown hair and beautiful and naive blue eyes. She wore a cute two-piece dress that hid her figure well, but Sasha had an eye for quality that no garment could obscure. It was clear from both the way she dressed and the way she danced that she had not done this before.
Sasha helped a cautiously inquisitive hand find her waist, and swirled her hips. The girl's hand bounced off of her body like a hula hoop. She was nervous. "Let me help you." Sasha smirked, gently pressing her hand to her waist, inching it dangerously low. She pulled the girl in close, pressing her lower body against her. Their hips now moved in unison, guided by the much more experienced Sasha.
"P-people are starting to watch." the girl said, looking nervously around her. While most of the floor was still standing, it was apparent that they were becoming the stars of the show.
"Let z'hem." Sasha replied, her eyes locked on her partner. "Let us be burned into z'heir memory. But I can only do z'his if you let me." With a shaky nod, she agreed. "Follow my lead." Sasha spun around, slowly gyrating her hips as she got low to the floor, her hands lightly tracing her partner's face as she did. The girl's eyes fluttered as she tilted her head back and let herself enjoy it. "Z'hat iz it, ma chérie." she whispered, slowly rising, hovering her lips so close to her neck that her breath caused the girl to shiver. Her chest heaved as the music took control of her body. "Je vais faire des choses pour vous si merveilleux que vous oublierez ce que c'est que de se tenir." Sasha whispered into the girl's ear, every other word accented with a heavy breath. "Vous allez oublier tout le monde après ce soir."
"I-I'm sorry, I can't understand you." the girl struggled to say. She was all but completely entranced by her, which only served to excite Sasha further.
"I said you have beautiful eyes." the pink-haired girl lied, whirling around and wrapping her arm around the girl's waist and pulling them so close their noses touched. "Est-ce que tu es aussi doux que tes yeux?" The girl's eyes met, and without any more hesitation, Sasha leaned in and kissed her. Her eyes widened in surprise, but she soon succumb to her own desires and returned the gesture, still swirling her body to Sasha's not-so-subtle movements. A few of the boys on the dance floor cheered, while most of the girls looked more flustered than impressed. When their lips parted, Sasha remained cool and composed, the other girl not so much. Her knees began to shake, and she looked back at the pink-haired girl with an expression of utter shock. "If you want more, come find me later. We can find a place more...remote. S'hink it over."
"My name's-" the girl began, only to be shushed by a soft finger on her lips. Sasha leaned in close, smiling as the girl tensed up reflexively.
"Name's come after." she whispered, ending the sentence with a teasing flick of the tongue on the lobe of her ear. If her face wasn't red before, it sure was now. She sputtered out some words before leaving the floor, her steps as unsure as she was.
Sasha turned in victory, her smile that like a cat that had just cornered an elusive mouse. She continued to dance, moving about the crowd until reaching a frozen and astonished face staring at her. "Gah!" Sasha yelped, recoiling slightly before the lights flashed in such a way that she could get a clear look. "Nina!" she cheered, grabbing the blue-haired girl's shoulders and pulling her close for two friendly pecks on both of her cheeks. She moved her hands down to Nina's wrists and began to dance loosely with her; much less erotically than her last partner. "What brings you here?" she asked, as if she herself owned the place.

Nina was a bit surprised and didn't have much time to react as her friend grabbed her and began dancing with her; as she danced-- a little awkwardly at that-- the current song had ended but was very quickly replaced by the next one. This new song signified the beginning of the megamix that the DJ had mentioned; this meant continuous music for the next hour without any songs actually ending, but rather, flowing into one another when one song finished. An infectious beat began, and Nina found her surprise and awkwardness fading away once more, moving along with Sasha's body. "I can't believe it's you!" she exclaimed; "I feel like it's been ages since we've crossed paths. I'd ask you what you're doing here, but I expect that it's probably for the same reason I am." She grinned a bit, then looked from Sasha to the girl that she was dancing with, and then back to Sasha. "You really did a number on her, you know!" she said with a laugh. "You'll have to teach me how to dance like that some day-- if you don't mind, that is." Whitney, not wanting to be left dancing on her own, joined back up with her sister and began dancing along with her. "That sure was a show!" she said, looking from Nina to Sasha with a big grin on her face. "Hi there! I don't think we've ever met before-- my name's Whitney! Nina here's my sister!" Nina rolled her eyes. "Yeah, you keep reminding me of that," she replied, chuckling a bit but keeping pace with Sasha, who seemed to be moving a little faster now. "This here's my friend Sasha!" she said to Whitney. "She's a friend of Mike's, and she and I traveled together for a little while, back when-- well, back when I first met Raimundo. I don't really remember how that all came about, but it did somehow!" Whitney looked from Nina to Sasha again. "Well hey, any friend of Nina's a friend of mine too! After all, she's a super great judge of character-- well. You know, other than dating a guy who's a super total jerk and ends up using her for his own personal gain, and there's also the time when she went totally crazy and winded up siding with the guy who was trying to kill everyone-- ow!" Nina elbowed Whitney in the side. "Don't mind her-- sometimes her lips start moving and words come out. You don't have to worry though, because it's like I told my new Pokemon-- she's all bark but no bite." Nina grinned while her sister seemed to glower a little. "Why, I oughta--" Whitney began, a hint of playfulness in her voice. "Actually, nope! Not even worth it. I'm not gonna waste my energy on a fun-sucker like you!" Nina looked affronted-- or was it an act? "I am NOT a fun-sucker!" she retorted.
"Yes, you are!" Whitney shot back. "Look, you're dancing with Sasha but you're probably boring this poor girl to death! Get outta the way and let me show you how it's done!" She bumped her butt into Nina's side, causing the girl to lose her balance a little and stumble. Wearing a bit of a sly grin, Whitney let her inner animal out just a little bit-- she found herself dancing a bit closely to Sasha, occasionally accidentally-on-purpose brushing her hands against Sasha's sides and just barely tracing her fingertips along her stomach for the briefest of moments. "I have to admit," she said, "I was impressed with the way you were dancing with that girl before. It looks like you could give me a run for my money." Her hands accidentally found themselves hovering against either of Sasha's sides, close enough so that they were touching, but far enough away that they weren't actually gripping the girl. "You'll have to forgive Nina," she said, leaning in close to the other girl, "but she's a bit reserved. Sabrina's the same way. However, you'll find that I'm the one you can go to when you want to enjoy yourself-- however that may be."

Sasha giggled at her friend's adorable naivety, following Nina's gaze to the girl from earlier, who was sitting down at a table with a few friends. "I wouldn't say z'he exact same reason." Sasha winked at her, eliciting yet another blush. The pink-haired girl wore a wolfish grin as she turned back to her friend. "I may be able to show you some of my moves, but not those. I don't recall you hunting the same prey as I." She teased, gracefully moving over to allow the new girl some space. "Merci, Whitney!" she paused. "Wait, Whitney as in z'he Whitney of Goldenrod Gym?" No response, as the two girls were too busy trying to out-embarrass the other. That's a fight only the spectator wins.
In an amusing turn of events, Sasha soon found herself dancing closely with her new celebrity friend. She raised an amused eyebrow at Whitney's claims. "Oh-ho?" she laughed. A game of chicken? Challenge accepted. Sasha grabbed Whitney's hand and placed it firmly on her lower back. "Z'hen why don't we get personal." Still frisky from her last dance, Sasha called the Gym Leader's bluff and got close. Real close. Unlike Whitney, her hand hovering was no accident, nor were the occasional time when her fingers brushed the girl's sides. Sasha could tell from her earlier jabs at Nina and the way she was dancing that she was just teasing her, and soon the competition shifted from sexy to silly as Sasha spun her partner around, grabbed Nina by the arm and pulled her back into the dance and continued their previous conversation. She didn't want her previous partner to get too jealous, after all.
"Speaking of Mike," she yelled over the music. "I don't mean to break z'he mood but he is in z'he hospital right now. He's fine, sort of, but he probably will be resting for a few days." She waved her hand. "I'll tell you about it later, where's Sabrina?"

Whitney couldn't help but to smile at Sasha's recognition of her. "Yep, I'm the one and the same!" she replied. It was funny-- despite Whitney being one of the most prominent figures of Goldenrod, the level of her fame had never really occurred to her. To be quite honest, she wasn't actually expecting to have been granted entrance into The Chrome when she and the others first arrived-- it was a bit of low-risk gamble, but she was still very happy to have seen it produce positive results. Maybe the power that came along with her fame was something she could learn how to better utilize; she would keep that thought in the back of her mind. "I've gotta say though," Whitney continued, "that you're right-- I don't 'hunt the same prey' that you do. I'm a straight shooter, so to speak." With a tilt of her head, Whitney lightly bit the right part of her lower lip. "Guys are certainly my preference, but as far as I'm concerned, everyone can be fair game. There's nothing wrong with having a little fun with people, regardless of gender, now is there?" Whitney found one of her hands being placed on Sasha's lower back-- this was the doing of the other girl. Oh? Trying to one-up me, are you? she thought playfully. Not on my turf. She yanked the girl in closer, two of their select frontal body parts touching one another somewhat firmly for a few moments longer than most people probably expected, before she found herself being spun around by the other girl-- quite literally. She laughed-- she liked this girl! Maybe she finally found a worthy adversary... or, even better. Maybe she found a friend like her.
Nina, on the other hand, was brought back into the dance and immediately caught up with Sasha's rhythm. "I hope Whitney wasn't creeping you out or anything!" she said, chuckling a bit. "She's a bit of a show-off sometimes, and even though it really kills me to admit this, she can be a hell of a lot of fun to be around for as much of an airhead as she is! She's good company." Nina's amusement seemed a bit short-lived, however-- her face expressed concern upon hearing of Mike. "Oh my gosh, what happened? she instinctively asked. "Is he okay?"
Now, because Nina was Nina, her mind instantly began racing a mile a minute, playing out anything and everything that could've happened to her friend. Knowing Mike, most of those catastrophes involved water. "Where's Sabrina?" she echoed in reply. "Sabrina's with some guy!" Whitney chimed in, approaching the girls. "It looked like they headed over to the lounge area when I spotted them last!"

The Gardevoir appeared to be scanning the area with her eyes but in reality she was reaching out with her psychic abilities, trying to sense where Jaden's Flareon was underground. Riza watched carefully as well, her grey eyes narrowed. As much as she understood that Jaden was more experienced than she was, it didn't mean that she didn't have this strong desire to defeat him. Just then, the fire-type burst out of the ground, right behind where the psychic-type was standing. "Teleport!" Riza shouted. The timing was slightly off however and Yula felt a sharp pain in her side from the Flareon's strike before she vanished, appearing on the opposite side of the field away from the fox.
"I'm not holding back, little sister," Jaden called. "Flareon, use Flamethrower!" The fox darted forward once again, flames already beginning to spout from his mouth as he fired a concentrated get of fire at Yula, who could only throw up her arms in defense as the flames washed over her.
Riza growled, but ignored her brother's comment. "Yula, Double Team," she called. "We're not giving up that easily!" The Gardevoir didn't appear to be as sure as her trainer, but gave a twirl and split up into five copies, all surrounding the Flareon. She admittedly felt a little better with her clones out there with her, but she knew that Flareon was quite strong. Easily stronger than she was.
Jaden continued to smile, looking at the five Gardevoir that were now spread out around his Flareon. He recalled from watching the contest last night just what his sister was going to do next, and he didn't want to let that happen, at all. His smirk widened. "Lava Plume," he said calmly. Flareon planted his feet firmly on the ground and gave a sharp bark. His whole body began to glow as it was encompassed by fire, and he flicked his tail and stomped a foot, causing the fire to shoot off in lava-like bursts in all directions. * * * * * The pokecenter was actually a lot busier on the inside than it looked, and Katie found herself feeling more than a bit impatient as she waited in line for her turn. She also found the chatter from the other trainers to be very annoying and it was very difficult for her to not lose her cool and tell them all to shut up. Her turn finally came around and she handed over the Pokemon that needed treatment, being sure to at least be polite to the nurse. After her team was returned to her, she left the center, trying to figure out if she needed anything else before she started out towards her next destination, Solaceon Town. She was pretty stocked up on medicines and potions, so she didn't even need to go to the pokemart first.
'I guess there's no reason not to just keep going,' she thought. 'On to Solaceon for my first mission. Upload all the breeding data from the PCs and get an egg, shouldn't be too hard with all the stuff Mai gave me. I'll make her proud.' The orange haired girl smiled as she checked her map, double checking her route. Route 209 was where she wanted to go next, but first she decided it was a good idea to give her team lunch.
She headed back into the pokecenter and went for the cafeteria. She got herself a sandwich and a fruit salad and filled up five bowls for her party. She wanted to feed Darla too, but she didn't want the Solosis attacking the rest of her Pokemon. So, when the first five were done, she got some food for the little psychic type as well. Feeling better now that they'd all eaten, she set off for Route 209 once again, feeling quite confident and determined. * * * * * Aside from blasting Miharu's Metang with electricity over and over again, there wasn't a whole lot that Jasmine could have her Magneton do right now. They both watched the Metang increase its speed and the gym leader smiled. "Speed won't help when you can't think straight," she said. "Magneton, it's time to use Supersonic and confuse 'em!"
The triple Magnet droned loudly in reply, all the screws in its body beginning to squeal and grind as it emitted a high pitched, ear shattering sound which would hopefully confuse Tingle and make their lives a little easier.

"What the...?" The stench was making Jasper's eyes water, and the moment that he looked up, he instantly regretted it. There, hovering above him and wearing the biggest, doofiest smile imaginable was the Koffing from before. She let out a happy wheeze and drifted down, rubbing her face up against Jasper's. "Ugh, no! Get away!" he yelped, using both hands to push the putrid Pokemon away from him.
"Koff?" the Pokemon asked, her whole round body tilting to the side in a curious manner. "Koffing!"
"Go back to the Pokemon Center," Jasper said sternly, pointing back at the red-roofed building. "The nurse is going to be worried about you."
"Koff-fffing!" the poison type insisted, nuzzling up to the boy again, much to Jasper's displeasure. "Koffffff!"
"What do you want?" the boy asked, once again trying to push the Poison Gas ball away from him. "Look, I know I saved you from that cave, but I'm not really looking to add any more Pokemon to my team just yet."
The Koffing pouted, her eyes growing wide and watery. She seemed to deflate a little, losing altitude until she'd slumped to the ground. The sight was pathetic, really. "Koff," she whined, a small could of green smoke escaping her.
Jasper sighed. He could pretend all he wanted that he had no idea what the Koffing wanted, but it was actually abundantly clear that she wanted to go with him. "Okay, fine, you can come with me," he said, and instantly, she perked back up, spinning and twirling and sending clouds of greenish smoke flaring out around her. "But, where's your Pokeball?" Jasper asked, looking around as though it would magically appear.
And magically appear, it did. Koffing gave a rather creepy smile before she made a disgusting sound from deep within her body, and in what was easily the most disgusting thing Jasper had ever seen, Koffing vomited up her Pokeball, along with a mass of disgusting, toxic green goo. * * * * * * * * * * Upon seeing the Charmander's sadden expression, Ivy gave an apologetic grin, as though to say "nothing personal." However, when the fire type was put back inside his Pokeball, she was definitely able to relax a bit, at least until she saw the bladed Pokemon appear. For a moment, she almost missed Gigas and his flaming tail.
"Hmm? Oh, of course!" Hayley said with a cheerful laugh, quickly walking over to Kressen, Pokedex already in hand. "I'm not overly familiar with Ivy's moves just yet, either." She pressed a few buttons and pointed it at the Pawniard. "Okay, he's a dark and steel type. His ability is Inner Focus which means he won't flinch when hit by certain attacks. His basic attack is Scratch, but he seems to have been born with a special move called Psycho Cut. Ooh, sounds dangerous!" The brunette had a cutesy, singsong tone to her voice as she spoke, now turning over to Ivy. "Ivy can use Tackle, Leer, and Glare. Hmm, not very diverse, but what can you expect from young Pokemon?" Ivy, who hadn't moved from her spot since Gigas had been recalled, rolled her eyes. "Alrighty then, let's get started!"
Still very cheerful, Hayley took her own place opposite Kressen, though when her mind realized she was once again in a battle situation, her smile faltered a little. She still had never won a battle before, and she knew very well that Ivy was at a disadvantage type wise, as her only attack was highly resisted by steel types. "We're going to go first! Ivy, let's start out with Leer!"
The Snivy crossed her little arms over her chest, her eyes narrowed into threatening slits as she gave Odin the nastiest look she could muster. It seemed that she did not share Hayley's apprehension in the slightest.

The trio headed over to the small group of weird little sand houses. As they walked past beautiful fountains and luscious gardens Robin couldn't help but be amazed. This was like some sort of beautiful club or something! There were so many people in beautiful clothing and cute pokemon to. One lady was in a dress that even Robin could tell cost a fortune with a large elegantly groomed Lopunny next to her. She gave Robin a weird look when she waved at her before turning away and back to chatting with a well dressed man. Robin just shrugged and continued walking waving at everyone she walked by a big smile always on her face. They were almost halfway there when Ace finally let out a growl at the latest person who turned away from her. Curious at her pokemon's actions she looked down at him with an interested look. "Are you ok Ace?"
The Monferno looked up at her and gave Robin a weird look. Did she just not notice it? Was he the only one who saw what was going on here? Looking over at Amelia who was looking away from them he watched her for a second before frowning. The flame on his tail bladed bright briefly in anger before looking back at his smiling if concerned trainer. She really didn't get the fact that this whole place was snubbing her did she? It wasn't a difficult concept to get yet it simply didn't register in her head. Sighing the Monferno shook his head before sending an irritated look at the little girl who they were helping. He did not like this place at all.
"All right then if your ok." She said with a worried little smile on her face before turning her attention back to their surroundings and destination. The Monferno was watching her carefully now and keeping an eye on everyone else as well. He didn't want his trainer interacting with these people if he could help it. A thought came to him though that it was a little odd for him to act this way to a person he was still kinda mad at.
~~~~~~~~
Kenny watched the girl leave before turning back to his trainer. Apollo was hurt? If he was able to some sort of facial emotions Kenny would have been frowning, he wasn't though so he just looked at his trainer and floated down more into the floor. Kenny himself wasn't quite sure what to do with this situation. He knew that his trainer cared for all of his pokemon, even after he had given them away. He had still come back, and he could tell that had been a difficult move for him to make. Still it was always humbling to see that he cared so much for his pokemon. Of course even the ghost could realize that Apollo was a special case.
Sighing the ghost pokemon watched his trainer and wondered what exactly was going to happen now. He knew he would stick with his trainer no matter what was going to happen, even if Dante tried to send them all away again. The others though. They didn't know their trainer as well. Kenny was not sure where they would all stand on this. If Hera was here he was sure that she would stay but the Baltoy and the Porygon2? No he had no idea. The little monster would stick around though. The Beckon pokemon wasn't quite sure how he knew that but he just did. Still there wasn't much that he could do now except worry about Apollo and what exactly was going on in his trainers head at the moment. They were playing a waiting game now.
"Oh no, not Static," Kasiya moaned, slapping her forehead with her palm. While she knew that there was only a chance of it actually causing paralysis, the fact that she'd already been wary of it at first only to forget it a moment later was quite frustrating. I guess I'm not as focused as I'd like to be, she thought, brimming with both jealousy and despair as she watched Elena with her Raichu. The two made for quite a pair, and she was oddly reminded of herself as she watched the two, wondering what other Pokemon the girl had. "Shadow Sneak, Ariados! We're not out of this yet," she called. The spider Pokemon wasn't so sure, weakly pushing herself forward as she set her sinister shadow on the attack.
The dark mass, shaped almost like Ariados, streaked across the ground, which was rather lucky considering how hard it was for the arachnid to even move. The shadow was fast and hard to avoid, evident by how quickly it caught up to the Raichu. The mouse squeaked out from the shadowy strike, staggering back, but she wasn't done yet. Her eyes narrowed, and her ears twitched and Kasiya couldn't help but laugh - at that particular moment, she looked just like Shocker! "Electro Ball!" Elena called, pointing at the paralyzed Ariados. The mouse rose up on her hind legs, long tail standing straight up. A ball of electricity began to form on the lightning-shaped end of it, and with a loud cry, she used the appendage to launch it forward.
Electro Ball was something that Kasiya wasn't overly familiar with, but it looked devastating enough to her as it sailed through the air and crashed into the poor Bug-type. Ariados cried out weakly and somehow got back to her feet, though her legs were shaking so badly, it looked as though she would collapse at any given moment. Not wanting the poor Pokemon to suffer any more, and considering this was their first battle together, Kasiya ran out onto the field, putting herself between Ariados and the Raichu. "Okay, that's it," she said, waving her arms around. "You guys win." Ariados hissed loudly in protest: it wasn't over yet! How dare that obnoxious girl intervene?!
Elena blinked in surprise, but smiled. "O-okay!" It was easy to see that she was attempting to act reserved, even when her excitement was nearly boiling over. "We did it, Raichu! We won our first battle together!" The mouse gave a cheer and dashed over to her trainer, leaping up into her arms. It was indeed a bittersweet sight to behold, but this time, rather than hurt, Kasiya found herself feeling something else entirely: determination.
"You guys make a great team, I'm impressed," Kasiya said, completely oblivious to the absolutely livid Ariados behind her.
Elena and her Raichu, however, were most definitely aware of the arachnid and both started to back away, and probably quite wisely, at that. "Heh, thanks," she said, nodding to the mouse. "We're going to be on our way now."
"Oh, okay. Take care!" Kasiya watched curiously as the pair went off in the complete opposite direction, though the hissing now coming from Ariados made her turn around. "Oh, you're mad..." she said, instantly feeling a bit bad, but her desire to get back her own Raichu quickly overrode it. "Look, I know you probably wanted to continue fighting, but in your paralyzed state, it probably wouldn't have ended well. And I'm sure Crenu would have made you fought until you blacked out, but that's not the way I do things. I'm the trainer, and you're the Pokemon, so it's my call, got it?" She placed her hands on her hips and glared at the spider, causing her to actually recoil a bit. Or, she would have, if her limbs hadn't locked up on her, so all she could do was stand there and quake. She'd been given a second chance, and she'd already blown it! Not only did she lose the battle, but she also threatened her new trainer! This was it, she was going to be boxed permanently or released this time, for sure.
When it was clear the spider had calmed down, Kasiya's harsh expression softened. Ariados had squeezed her eyes shut. "Hey, it's okay. We did pretty good for our first battle together. I'm sure next time, we'll kick butt, all right?" Ariados peeked out of one eye, shocked to see the girl actually smiling at her. How could she say such things after she'd performed so poorly? Kasiya even extended a hand in friendship, but the spider snubbed it, throwing in a menacing hiss for good measure. "Okay, then. Maybe next time. Rest now and I'll get you all healed up." Not at all put off by Ariados' cold and distant attitude toward her, Kasiya put the Bug-type back in her Pokeball before she headed for the Pokemon Center. Sure, the battle hadn't ended well, but that didn't mean she had gotten nothing out of it, as a plan had already started to form in her mind.
Kressen looked at the Pokedex with interest as Hayley explained Odin's moves. He couldn't wait to get one of his own, instead of mooching off friendly trainers such as Hayley. Smirking at her sing song voice and cheeriness he nodded."Scratch and Psycho Cut huh? Alright, I'll remember that. It's hard to forget two moves." He took a few steps behind Odin and readied for battle as his newest partner kept digging in the dirt.
The hyper girl got the drop on him, since he didn't even have time to respond before the little green snake was leering at Odin. The bladed Pokemon looked up at the exact wrong moment and found himself being leered at by a mean looking grass type. His little eyes widened in shock for a moment and he shakily stood as he trainer encouraged him to stay tough.
"It's okay Odin! Counter with Psycho Cut!" Shaking himself Odin raised his bladed arms which began to glow with a silvery light. With a small cry the shaken Pokemon slashed forward sending to spinning blades of energy at the Snivy.
Several cups of coffee later, Keegan was still recounting the details of the past weeks' events to his father, the severe amount of caffeine taken in by the young man becoming more evident as time went on. He hadn't known for sure just how much his father was aware of, so he started back at square one of square one, beginning with how the whole mess with Team Magma even began. It was also quite difficult to properly gauge Todd's reaction to everything, as for the most part he was silent, except for when he'd rise to refill their coffee cups. Keegan was sure to explain everything that he felt was relevant, though he was sure to avoid mentioning his hooking up with Mai. That wasn't something he'd ever be comfortable sharing with anyone.
Despite his better judgement, he also touched on Kasiya's choosing of Mike and vice versa, which actually prompted a physical response form his old man - a raised eyebrow. When the extensive tale was finished, they reverted for silence for a few moments, both staring at their now-empty coffee mugs as the weight of the story settled in. Finally, Todd gave a heavy sigh. "Huh," was all he said before he stood up. Keegan blinked a few times, certain that the story he'd just told would elicit something a little more, well, emotional.
"That's it?" Keegan asked, unable to hold back an incredulous laugh. "Less than twenty-four hours ago, we were all in mortal peril, and all you can say is 'huh'? My life is a mess, and you could care less? Then again, why am I even surprised?" He sighed heavily and put his head down on the table. He knew damn well that he was overreacting a little, but he didn't care. Just once, it would be nice for his father to actually show some kind of emotion besides resentment and disappointment. It was times like this that he wished his mother was here, as at the very least, she'd try to help by offering kind words or a hug or something. ===== Just as there was little Jasmine could do to stop Tingle's Agility, there was pretty much nothing Miharu could do to stop the Supersonic from the Magneton. The noise was unbearable even to human ears and she covered them with her palms, struggling not to wince as she tried to see if her Metang had been confused. Naturally, that is exactly what did happen, and the already-quirky Pokemon succumbed to confusion, though it didn't exactly act much different than before. "Tingle, use Brick Break!" Miharu called, but Tingle seemed to translate it as "Hey buddy, punch yourself in the face, repeatedly!" The Psychic/Steel-type did just that, somehow managing to smack itself in the face, and hard enough to send it spiraling toward the ground.
Miharu decided that she wasn't going to let her Ace (well, at least in theory the Metang was her Ace) hurt itself, so she held up its PokeBall and recalled it before it could make a Tingle-shaped impact in the ground. "Okay Lily, it's up to you for now," she said quietly, biting her lower lip as her Ivysaur made an appearance, accentuated by a flurry of pink petals, as usual. "Lily, Sleep Powder," she called, pointing at the Magnet Pokemon. The diva of a Grass-type gave a nod, her flower bud shimmering before it shot a blast of glittering, blue powder at the Magneton.
