[ I've been terribly busy again. Prom is this weekend, and I have NYSSMA later today, although I did my one for Violin at four... I know probably no one here knows what that is... But hey. I might be back on later tonight if my singing NYSSMA isn't held up! ]
Ava, smiling, decided to start off easy. "The 22nd and the 24th president of the United States of America were both male, and had the same mother and father. But, they were not brothers. How can this be?" The answer was simple in her mind, knowing very well how it was possible. She waited for the Sphinx's response, in hopes that she knew the answer so she could get asked a question.

 Kalle's blue eyes flicked from Ava to Tûrwen as she awaited the response to the riddle. The Sphinx's eyes flashed at the sound of the riddle. 'He was the same man,' she said in a slow voice containing the slightest hint of suspicion. 'Black within and red without, with four corners all about. What am I?' she asked, following the girl's pattern of riddle difficulty.

Aludra Yvette... Aludra listened carefully to the riddles being thrown back and forth. They seemed easy enough to guess at. Not feeling any excitment, she went back to her doodles in her class book. ...7th Year Slytherin

OlliMay Olli Hufflepuff ; Fifth YearOlli couldn't help but look confused at the answer Ammy gave her. They just studied unicorns... She shook her head. "I sure hope it will be," she said. Knowing this class though, she guessed whatever the next lesson was on was going to be pretty cool. At Ammy's comment, she studied the new Slytherin that stayed standing beside Kalle. She cocked her head to the side. "No, I have no idea who she is... Do you?" Olli guessed the answer would be no, judging by the tone of Ammy's voice when she asked, but she thought maybe she was in a different class with her.

Amelia shook her head, not finding the question repetitive. "This is the first class I've seen her in...She looks terribly lonely." And felt that way too. Having been the new girl herself recently, it surprised her that Music was alone. Almost everyone she met was pleasant or better...except the Slytherins occasionally. A frown crossed her face, usually they just stuck with their own, but what if they didn't accept her? Amelia had no idea why they wouldn't. "Can we go see her?" She definitely wanted to, but she hadn't seen Olli much lately and didn't want to lose her company.
As the game with the sphinx started, Amelia listened carefully. She'd known the Oedipus story, and this new girl Ava just made her angry. She reached the stage where she'd forgotten she was making a point and just wanted to argue. Still, she pushed it away and listened to Sparrow's riddles. The first one she didn't figure out, not expecting such a morbid answer, but the next three were easy. The white Polar Bears threw her off, but as long as she ignored that part she knew pressure. The next took her a few seconds before she knew it, and the last was easy. She could even name Cleveland, as she'd found his separated presidency interesting. Mind you, she couldn't have told you what numbers he was, but after that obstacle was clear, she knew. Now for the latest one...it was tricky for sure, but after her previous ones, she felt she could figure it out in time...just not immediately.

Melody entered the class quietly and took the back seat. The class had already started and being new, she was feeling lost in those riddles she had just heard. She looked around, hoping that someone could help her.

((Music, I’m going to let you decide if they’ve met before or not. Since when I started the action they hadn’t but they have outside of this class…))
Amelia grinned; she expected that answer since Olli was just that nice. Following her quickly, the two of them reached Music’s side. She leaned over and whispered “Hey, I’m Ammy and this is Olli.” Comfortably, though a little noisily so Music could hear, she took a seat beside her, “What do you think of the riddles?” there was awe in her voice.

Ava thought this last riddle was very tricky, but the answer finally came to her as she remembered what fire did to things sometimes. "A Chimney."
She thought about her next riddle very carefully, hoping that this would be a more difficult one. "I, as a man, have had only been officially married once, but have had many, many wives. I have had had many sons, but have only given life to one of them. I have a daughter, but sometimes she has multiple names. I have had many jobs, lost and quit many of them, but always the same profession, and never have changed it. I have lived in many houses, of which were my own, but I only own one house. I've lived in many places, and seen many things, I have killed and I have died, but I'm still here today. What am I?" Ava knew that this one was long, but the description was needed to either give more clues or to confuse the brain more. She knew the answer very easily.

Music looked over at the girl "I'm not a fan of them,but I will solve them"She smiled a little then sighed.
"What do you think of that announcement?"She asked.It had just come out and it was worrying her.The headmistress wouldn't have said that if something wasn't going on.

Amelia nodded, "I can answer them, but coming up with them? No way." She thought the latest one was just rambling, but her mind started listing the traits, organizing them. Then she glanced at her about the announcement, and couldn't help but smile at Olli. "Do you think it's because of our scandal?" Returning her gaze to Music, she explained, "We wanted a map of the school and only she has one. So we did a little peaking around. Man she was horrified...though it was a while ago...did anyone try something like that that you've heard of?" She'd instantly assumed it was because of them, but now it didn't make complete sense as she'd said, it was a long time ago, but what else would make her say that?

"I can't come up with them either,its hard"Music agreed."Wow,did you do any snooping?"She smiled.It had been the first smile in weeks.
Music sighed then listened to the riddles being past back and forth between the student and Spinx.

"Hi Professor" Al muttered, barely audible over everyone else. She was still so confused..felt so lost. She heard a ravenclaw say something about the announcement and she felt oddly cold... She never really went into her mother's office that much, now she wanted to visit her mom more than ever.
You're just being stupid..she told herself. Liv's right. She told you in the great hall. It's just that she's upset. This decree'll be removed real soon and you'll get your mom back. She's probably thinking of you right now...The bell rang and Al, thankful to leave, ran off to her next class, not giving the riddle a second thought.

OlliHufflepuff ; Fifth YearOlli couldn't keep a grin from her face, and barely managed to stifled a laugh. "Could be. I mean, it was a terrible thing to do," Olli said with mock horror. She still couldn't believe the headmistress' reaction. "maybe someone else did the same thing," she added with a shrug.
