Gilraen
Dawn Elf Ninja - Novice Citizen
Strength: 5 / Speed: 9
Energy: 525/550
Skills used: Tripartite
Weapons: Bo Staff, Bow and Arrow, crossbow, Shuriken

Gilraen finds the golems, under a brutal attack by Mer. Bow-wielding Mer...not something you see every day. He finds some place to cover himself for when he attacks, then moves so that he can aim at the enemy. First things first, cut down their range. He sends energy through his crossbow and fires. The bolt splits into three, each fragment heading towards an archer.

Quiet. It was just as how she liked it; to be alone with her thoughts for a change.

Beside a tree near the embankment of the babbling creek she leaned against the bark and looked out in the distance. In her hands she held one of her many knives, weighing it in her hand as she stared out at the flowing water absent in her own thoughts. A few things ran through her head, considerations of the past and reflecting upon things, as it were. Everything in her recent years had been a train wreck until a year or so ago when she met her friend again.

Adiel pocketed her knife then and shifted off of the tree, standing there for a few moments longer in her silence. A slight smiled played upon the elf's face as she swept her hair back and turned slowly away from the water. She was content with how the way things were now and she had just that in mind as she walked away from the creek. Eyes held low and hands together, hidden in her sleeves, Adiel's body flickered once as the light around her whisked her from sight as if she walked into an unseen fog.

It was not until some time later, further down the creek, that the elf made herself visible again as the light revealed her like a magician pulling the cap away to show an act. She was at her favorite part and a bit off the path that skirted the second layer toward the pond formed by the creek. It was a rather small copse of pines with a single spot cleared and a larger tree overhanging to give the spot shade.

Wompf! The Elf threw herself out onto the spot with a content sigh and laid on her back to lay in the shade while she made her body nearly invisible so she would not be disturbed.

As the lovely blond elf resting pleasantly in her secret spot, unexpectedly, a little small ball of light flouted in the air, gracefully with the breeze, lightly shuffling the leaves.

The little insect drifted down, making a gently rest spot down under the large tree. With out a care of the world, landed on the lone Elf's robe with out a sound.

123123 Magus | Enchanter | Sub-class Dark Elf

Everything was quiet in the forest. Just the way it had always been and always should be. A quiet forest was a happy forest. At least in the eyes of Losi it was. As she walked down one of the many trails, she kept her eyes trained on the sky above. Watching small birds flit between the pine needles and oak leaves. It was an incredibly peaceful scenery. One that the young dark elf knew like the back of her hand. Of course the back of ones hand could change at a moments notice. Such as with an ever growing forest. Trees fell and grew again. Patches could burn from lightning here and there. Other, less natural, scars could be left on the ground. Losi stopped at a particularly wide tree she noticed some nicks in the bark.

The cuts were small and obviously pretty old. Probably a few months by the looks of them. "A knife…hmm." the words left her mouth at barely a whisper. She didn't want to disturb the forest to greatly. A thought ran through her mind, one that could potentially disturb the peace, but would heal the tree at least a little bit. Placing the scythe she always carried down, Losi knelt down before the tree, sitting on her knees with the palm of her hands flat on the ground. An aquamarine coat of energy flowed over her hands like water as she concentrated it into the ground.

A moment later a number of vines sprang out of the ground, cracking and crashing loudly in the quiet forest. Losi commanded the vines to creep up the short way to the cuts on the tree, covering the old wound in a thick layer. Picking up her staff Losi stood up and patted the tree gently. "There, all better, right?" she said softly before stepping away. There was telling what actually cut the tree, so there was no point trying to figure it out. Numerous people came out to the pine groves to practice and polish their skills. It was the same for her after all. She took two steps away from the tree back towards the trail.

On the third step Losi sent a quick surge of energy into the ground. A perfectly square slab of earth broke away from the ground and lifted Lo high into the air. She waited patiently as the slab took her up to the higher branches of the tree. It only took a few seconds for the earthen elevator to take the mage up to her new perch. Losi picked out a sturdy looking branch and stepped out onto it. She leaned back against the trunk, sinking down she sat quietly. The slab of earth that had brought her up sank back to where it come from. Reforming perfectly back into place. She placed her scythe in her lap so it wouldn't fall and just sat there. Waiting for any sign of anyone or thing.

Tales of some mysterious force which makes the trees dance, listening, and even coming to life have created a source of panic across many of the forest inhabitants of Kranilla and other forest settlements. Though in every case, it has always been an enchanter's dirty work. By goading plants and trees alike with the user's energy, they rapidly expand, twisting their roots to serve their Enchanter. Instead of forming to fight for the Enchanter, the user has absolute control over every plant or tree around them. The energy they put into the skill dictates what may be done. Using E Ranked energy can allow the user to occasionally toss wooden spikes from long distances. C Ranked energy begins to branch out, allowing the user to morph the ground around the opponent, creating vines to lash out at the opponent along with the occasional root attempting the trap them. At B Rank, roots may rapidly shoot out of the ground, attempting to do serious damage, and may branch out to impale. At S Rank, the user may be seen using the entire area to create great trees from saplings to fall over on the opponent, using the roots in the ground to make the place unstable, even opening the ground, creating a chasm.

A New Point of View D
Any area the user is stepping on may be brought to life, creating a solid plank of standing ground for the user to stay on as the object lifts them up into the air, allowing the user to gain a new fantastic point of view, allowing them to use their skills from very high distances. However the spell loses it's potency after 3 posts.

The blue light of an insect at the unexpected eye would move without flight as the shuffling of the elf could be heard and before long she was visible. Hair a mess and littered with a leaf or two, she blinked and looked down at her robe at a peculiar blue light. Carefully she brushed a hand down gently along the robe and let the creature upon her fingers where it were safer as she studied it in detail.

A curious creature she thought as she looked at it and blinked her eyes again, still shaking off the effects of her sleep. For a few moments then the elf was still with her eyes closed as she focused her conscious elsewhere, projecting it around her little sleeping area and surveyed a set locations in detail. The trail was still absent of people and the wooded areas following it was as well until she found the dark elf up in a tree. After a minute her eyes reopened as she was within herself again and smiled slightly.

She wanted to spook the dark elf somehow now.

Adiel gathered herself and rose to her feet, balancing with the one hand off to her left so not to disturb the bug. She picked the leaves out from her hair with the right hand, straightened the outfit and fixed her hair so it was straight.

Silent but interested, Adiel examined the critter for awhile longer and wondered to herself how it glowed, or was it an arcane anomaly?

"Just what are you?" she spoke low, as if asking herself the question.

"And how long do you plan to be up there, my lady?" She then said suddenly and a bit louder as her attempt to startle her friend up in the tree some distance away. "I seen you up there." She said to herself with a smirk.

Losi took in a deep, relaxing breath. The smell of the pine forest, the birds chirping. It was enough to put even the most energetic of people to sleep. Closing her eyes Losi pulled her knees up to her chest. She didn't bother to remove her glasses, so the were pushed upwards to her forehead slightly askew now. 'It's a wonder why anyone would want to disturb this peace.' she thought vaguely, slowly starting to doze off in the tree. There was a few more minutes of peace before Lo heard something all to familiar.
A woman's voice. And not just any woman's voice either.

Eyebrows furrowing she lifted her head and adjusted her glasses back into place. "Adiel?" she half expected to see the elf standing in front of her. Given her history with trees it was fair assumption. Glancing around proved to contradict those thoughts. There was no sign of the elf in the tree. She frowned believing that it was just a figment of her imagination. Putting her head back down and shutting her eyes again, Losi was determined to go back to that dozy-state that was so relaxing.

Again the voice spoke, louder this time. This time Losi knew it wasn't a dream. It was Adiel. Looking over the edge of the branch Losi squinted to see the blonde elf down on the ground below. "There you are!" she cheerfully greeted her dear friend, with a wave of her free hand. It was easy to make out her golden hair, but there was something else with her as well. Something blue, small, and glowing. "What's that?" Losi stood up carefully so as not to fall off the branch. Curiosity momentarily clouded her thoughts as she looked for a way down out of the tree.

For a few moments Lo was quite as she looked, but pine trees didn't have easy ways down. Well there was one way, but Lo didn't really feel like splattering onto the ground. "uh.." obviously jumping was out of the question. She racked her memory for a spell to get down. After coming to the conclusion that getting up a tree was a lot easier than getting down Losi let out an annoyed groan. She didn't want to admit to being stuck. Especially since she was the one who climbed the tree in the first place.

'Surely there's a spell I could use.' Losi crossed her arms deep in thought, making sure the blade of the scythe was pointed away from her. 'I could…no that wouldn't work…'

Examining the glowing insect closer, the blue light raiding off from is isn't just normal light, but something like an Aura. Adiel felt this warming and cheerful energy coming off from the little creatures through touch. It seams so care free, no worry's in the world. I't tinny wings visible is beautiful, a quince pattern and design that glistening off it's glowing body.

The little bug suddenly flout up, flattering it's tinny wings off the elfs hand back into the air. Leaving a trail of sparkling dust that instantly disappear. It flout higher, into the leaves of the trees. It glows fades... and then disappeared from sight.

'Twas a strange feeling with the little creature as Adiel looked upon it, different emotions flowed like a river. But it felt alien at the same time with the natural beauty and the unknown glow it gave off from it's body. It wasn't evil nor mischievous as some creatures she heard of. Calming, almost... soothing to her holding this delicate creature.

I dislike the feeling I'm getting from you. she thought. But it's not bad. Adiel extended her hand up above her head then and opened her palm to let the critter fly off. Her fingers uncurled just as it took to the air as she smiled slightly, watching the critter with trailing particles that pinged like night stars.

Soon it was gone and she continued to look up at where the insect like creature had gone as she lowered her arm. Hearing Lo' then, Adiel didn't look back for a moment as she paused to answer.

"I don't know." was what she said in response. "But it was something special."

Adiel looked down then with eyes closed and then at Lo' finally, her smile still there as she chuckled to herself. Apparently the dark elf was having a wee bit of trouble getting herself down.

"Do you need help, my lady?" Adiel offered. "Or will ye sprout wings and fly?"

Lo huffed at the dawn elf. She knew very well that Adiel could get down a tree as easily as getting up the tree. For a moment she thought of taking her up on the offer, but something that Adiel said sparked an idea. Sprout wings and fly. Bending over, cautiously, Losi grinned down at her friend. "Don't be silly! I can't sprout wings. However, I can make something fly." With that said Losi stood straight and held her staff out at arms reach with both hands. Closing her eyes for a moment, a light blue coat of energy spread across the weapon. Losi took her hand off the weapon and watched it float in mid-air. "There we go." she said cheerfully.

Taking the floating scythe back in hand, Losi sat on it like it was the most normal thing in the world. 'I can't believe I forgot about this one.' It was an incredibly basic enchant, but it was very useful. Floating back to the ground, safe and sound, Lo crossed her arms and smugly wagged a finger at Adiel. "I knew how to get down. I was only playing." In one way her statement was true. She did know she could make something fly. It was just a matter of when she remembered she could do just that. Her scythe stopped its decent so that the dark elf was at eye level with the tall blonde. "What was that bug? I've never seen anything like that before." Losi looked for the little glowing bug she had seen before. But it wasn't anywhere to be seen.

There were stories of little blue lights in a forest that would lead people astray. She vaguely wondered if it was something like that, but seeing as Adiel wasn't lost it apparently was just a glowing blue bug. She kicked her feet playfully in the air as she glanced about the forest for the bug again. The bug itself had flown away, or at least wasn't glowing anymore, so it was impossible to find again. "Well since the bugs' gone what are you out here for?" Losi asked looking at the disheveled golden hair. That was how Adiel wore her hair normally and it bothered Losi. Her own dark blue hair was naturally straight and always kept in a neat hair bun. Adiel's hair was cut short with a knife. If Losi had her way, Adiel's hair would have been straight as well. But the Dawn elf seemed to like it short.

"We could go look for the bug again. Surely it hasn't gone to far." ignoring the fact that she couldn't do anything about her friend's hair, she turned her attention back to the bug. It was a curious little thing. True to her family's ways she wanted to learn more about it. Not catch it in a jar of course, but just find out what it did. "What do you think it was?" she asked swinging her feet lightly in the air.

                          Enchantment? Enchantment! D-SS
The art of enchanting is a centuries old art, perfected by the mages of Amaranthine who used incredible spells to enchant beautiful jewels to fit on hilts of weapons, armor, etc. Now, enchantments have become necessary in combat. With the demand for them rising, many Enchanters have taken to the field, instead of hiding behind shop stands. With this skill, you may skip the approval process for customs. Though this skill has its rules and limits as well. The skill is very useful because the Enchanter may enchant the most commonplace of objects. A stick they found, a rock, or even an army of broomsticks! Depending on how much energy they put into the spell, the user may choose from a list of enchantments to place on an object, or even a person. There are many skills labeled "on self", which means they can only be used on the user. Only one enchantment may be on at a time, the user may switch enchantments every post.

Looking up to where the creature had left, Adiel turned back toward the dark elf and gave a light shrug. "I know not, but I'm not concerned with it" He said in elven and took a few steps away as she straightened the rest of her outfit off and took in account of her surroundings still.

Falling silent, the elf looked around with her eyes and a slow turn of her head from left to right. While she done that, she adjusted the knives along her belt and let out a small sigh. Anxious and paranoid, those were the feelings coursing through her head at that moment even after she had already checked the area with her projected sight. It never hurt to double check everything after all.

"I didn't come out here for anything special," Adiel simply said as she glanced at the hovering elf on the slight. It was an amusing sight but the woman's short lived expressions were gone and she held a stern and distant expression. "I simply enjoy it here."

She sighed again with a slight pang of a groan. "You shouldn't be out here by yourself, without someone at least." The dawn elf turned to Lo' and expressed her concerns as thus. In a way she was upset she didn't have the time to herself but she didn't show it and worded it in a way to express it as a concern. Inwardly she knew the elf was a competent magician and hex-slinger, a term she coined a few times, but she felt justified in what she said.

"But, I can't say anything. I had my own reasons." She added then and turned away from the dark elf as her form was shrouded in her near invisibility. "So, what should we do?" Lo' would hear her say from her now shrouded form with only a faint outline shown.

Stepping lightly onto the ground Losi took her staff back in hand. Dispelling the enchantment on it she held it as a walking stick, blunt end on the ground and sharp end pointing away from her fair haired friend. "I was not alone. I knew you were out here somewhere." Losi huffed a little. Sometimes Adiel could be have a one track mind. Getting constantly protected by the dawn elf was not a bad thing by any means. In fact she quiet adored the attention and it was a welcome breath of fresh air. However, sometimes she felt a little to overprotected. They were out in the middle of the forest. The worst thing that could happen was that she fell out of tree. "Nothing will happen to me out here." Losi shrugged.

The dark elf moved the conversation back to a more enjoyable topic to answer the other's question. Yellow eyes narrowed in fake frustration as she watched Adiel fade into the background. That was another thing about the dawn elf. She always hid herself with means that even Lo could not sense. "I thought maybe we could take on a job or two." Losi needed to gather some information on the local wildlife and plants in the area. It wasn't part of her families job to keep track of wildlife, but it was a nice way to kill some time for her. "I wanted to make sure that all of our information on the wildlife in the area was up to date." with that Losi marched on the trail that lead back towards the city of Kusana.

Knowing that Adiel would follow she also kept speaking as she walked. "All of the jobs there should not be to difficult, but maybe we can come across something a bit more exciting." Hopefully there were not to many boring jobs to do. Losi was only doing this to get over some boredom after all. "Oh, and maybe later we can go get some new gear." Losi glanced down at her old armor. It was simple and did it's job, but the iron was getting scratched up. Not to mention her long blue dress was fraying at the ends and had been repaired multiple times. 'Maybe I could do something about my hair too.' unconsciously Losi ran a hand up to the neat little bun perched on top of her hair.

The dawn elf followed briefly with the shrouded nature of her abilities keeping her from sight. Like a wriath or a shadow to the mage, Adiel trailed behind her quietly and with utmost urgency. Personally she thought a job would be a waste of time, a misuse of her personal abilities but Adiel kept that to herself as she shadowed the mage shortly behind.

"Simple beasts to put down, or is it something more? Adiel said as she phased back momentarily. She glanced at the dark elf with a side stare and looked ahead of them before she whisked back into his transparent state. "It's up to you on what we do. I know not honestly what you have in mind, so lead on?"

Adiel silently followed and became the mage's shadow.

Losi nodded slowly to thin air. She was completely used to Adiel being invisible. "I believe there was a job concerning some rouge creatures at Heaven's Tears falls." Losi crossed her arms as she walked, glancing at Adiel's general direction. Although she was used to the cloaked dawn elf she wasn't always wear exactly the blonde was until she spoke. "Oh do not worry dear sister. Handling this will be no problem for us. I could probably do so on my own, but that would be boring." the dark grinned playfully at her companion, or at least where she assumed she would be.

"Besides I need to get some better armor and maybe clothes too." picking up her dress a little to show Adiel the hastily repaired rips in the dark blue cloth. Even some of the fur trim was missing in places. "I can't go around in this much longer. It will rip to shreds." she dropped her dress and pointed towards the city with her scythe. "We should head straight the falls. If we complete this job quickly we can get you some weapons too, if you want." she said, but didn't sped up in the least. Losi rarely ever ran anywhere.
