Nero Njord


Nero's eyebrow twitched as the girl seemed to completely ignore him. Oh. Fine. It wasn't like he was trying to be nice or anything. Go ahead and look clueless, just don't come crying to him next time help's needed.
Crunching into his lollipop angrily, the punk-styled man turned and began walking off, hands in his pockets and his stance slumped. Going here was a complete waste. There were barely any students or teachers to mess with anymore. Maybe he should check out those other schools...
It was as he considered the option that he heard a girl's voice calling out. Ohoho, if it was that snot-nosed punk again he would- Nero paused when he turned to see a different girl. Oh what's this? When did she get here? Nero stayed in his spot for a moment, contemplating whether to talk to her or not. Well, she couldn't necessarily ignore him if he was standing right in front of her. Letting out a sigh, he chewed on a fragment of his lollipop and walked over to her. "Need anything, toots?" he asked when he reached her.

Nero gave the girl a curious glance as she spoke. 1920's Earth...? Just what the... This girl talked funny, and even her mannerisms were funny. Either she was one poor, sheltered sap, or she wasn't normal, and he wouldn't be surprised with either. As the hand was extended towards him, Nero only remained in his stance, chewing on his lollipop fragments. He slowly narrowed his dark gray eyes at her. "You. You ain't human, are ya, toots?" he remarked, not bothering to introduce himself yet.

Oh, that kinda dame, eh? Well, wouldn't this be fun?
Still fixing her with that dull stare, Nero swallowed the last bits of his candy and nonchalantly waved the lollipop stick in her direction. "Nooo, you're the one bein' rude here, toots." he countered. "I came over askin' yous a question, but you dodged it. I asked ya's if ya needed anythin', not why yous was here. So before I give ya's my name, wanna answer my question?"

Nero blinked when his lollipop stick was taken from him. He clenched his jaw at the now annoying girl's superiority and snapped his fingers. Although the windows were closed, a breeze blew inside the library, and soon the lollipop stick flew back to his hand. "Heh, look at you, sounding so high and mighty. Lemme tell ya somethin', toots: that kinda attitude's gonna get yous in a heap of trouble. Nobody likes a snob." He tossed the stick back into the air, and the breeze returned, catching it before it could hit the ground. The wind carried the stick towards the girl and made it bop her forehead. "Maybe I should've made sure you heard me. You talkin' about comin' here just to sight-see? Yeah, that's an answer to a 'Why' question, toots. I asked if yas needed anythin'. You're in a library, everyone knows what's in a library. Ya don't come in here just to take a gander at the architecture. Ya come for books. So which books ya want?"

"Ooh, looks like I hit a nerve." Nero smirked while waving one hand around. Soon enough a candy bar was carried over to him, where he gladly took it into his hand and got to work on opening it. "I may have powers, toots, but I'm not acting like..." He glanced at the girl and waved his candy bar at her. "... whatever this is. C'mon, drop the act, why don't ya? Nobody talks like an uptight rich brat anymore, not even the big wigs!" he snorted. He opened the candy bar to reveal the chocolate beneath and chomped into it. "Oh, and by the way, toots, I'm a student. I shan't hear the same mistake, or whatever crap you talk like."

Nero raised his eyebrows and gave the girl, Luna, a wide-eyed stare. He slowly brought a hand to his mouth to cover the growing smirk, but it would be pointless for the laughter that followed. He burst out in fits of laughter, laughing so hard that he had to double over and wipe away a few stray tears. "Oh man... That's too much." he cackled. After taking a few moments to catch his breath, he straightened up and gave her a breathless grin. "Man, oh man, you are kinda - scratch that, really - weird. First of all, toots, don't flatter yourself. You ain't my type, and I sure as hell ain't gettin' desperate for Valentine's Day. Second, I'm not sure what crappy dictionary you read, but this act of yours ain't at all ditzy. It's snobby. You're, ah, one of 'em plastic chicks. Yeah, a Barbie. Maybe the ones that are all snooty and prepped up for lawyerin'. And if it ain't an act than I feel sorry for ya, toots." he said, emphasizing the word she seemed to have distaste for. Still keeping that cocky grin on his face, he took another bite of his chocolate bar. "Go ahead an' report me anyway. Name's Nero, though it ain't gonna do yas any good. There're barely any teaches around here. Why else would I have been here offerin' Her Majesty some help?"

Hearing the reply, Nero was forced to facepalm using both of his hands. "Oh my me, do you even hear yourself, toots?" He dropped his hands to give her a look of disbelief. "I ain't commentin' over your act, toots. I'm talkin' about you and your attitude right now! Everythin' about you screams rich twerp! This is why you keep thinkin' yous have ta repeat yourself, 'cause all that money's shoved up your ears!" Threatened by social status, Nero ran a hand over his face and put the other on his side. "I guess this makes sense with yous bein' new here and all. Lemme give ya some advice, toots, you ain't got any power here." he explained. "You wouldn't believe how many princesses, emperors, lords, and even-" He smirked. "-gods I've met here. You ain't nothin' but a regular dame here. So go ahead an' tell your mommy on me, it ain't gonna do a thing."
