Kedrick Suwa

Kedrick sighed softly, shaking his head. Something had gone terribly wrong in the chemistry between Maria and Dimitri there a moment ago. "But that's just a old nick name from forever ago!" Kedrick protested, leaving out the fact that it was still probably an applicable nick name. He sighed, running his fingers though his hair. "Look...let's not sweat it, I'm sure that...well...something will work out." He said with a small smile and kissed her forehead.

Dimitri waited in the doorway till she turned around. He startled slightly when Maria questioned him coldly in Spanish, reflecting that maybe he didn't want to know what it meant. He cleared his throat, when she repeated her question in English he breathed a soft sigh of relief. "Look." He said simply, throwing caution to the wind and just saying what came first to mind. He would find in a few seconds that this would be a tragic mistake. "I really don't know what your problem is, but if you're jealous or something then don't be, I'm really not interested in Prim." He said, only to realize he had made two very big blunders, A. He had accused her of being jealous, and B. he flat out told her that he had lied about Prim. He could have kicked himself.

Arielle looked at Kedrick in surprise when he told her that the term, "lover boy" was just a nickname. She honestly didn't know what to say, but she knew that Maria must have taken it the wrong way. Oh those two..., Arielle thought with a small sigh. Arielle nodded in agreement, a light smile on her face as he kissed her forehead. She held onto his hand and her smile grew. "Just a few more hours and then we can go home. Isn't that wonderful?"

Maria waited patiently for Dimitri to answer. In all honesty, she didn't really know what to expect at all. A part of her thought he was going to continue bragging about Prim, which would have just made things worse. When he finally said what he had to say, Maria could not deny that she was shocked, even her face showed her surprise. It took her some time to actually make herself think of anything logical.

On the one hand, Dimitri had openly said that Maria was being jealous, which even she couldn't deny, but he had told her that he wasn't interested in Prim at all. She felt relieved at the thought he didn't like her, but then suspicion and some bit of anger followed soon after. She crossed her arms in front of her chest, looking away from Dimitri.

"So, if you don't like this Prim girl then who's this girl anyway? I mean, it's not like I care," Maria said drily, trying to hide the fact that she did care.

Kedrick Suwa

Kedrick smile brightened as he squeezed her hand gently. "Yeah." He said, his voice showing his excitement. "And since you're out of commission for a little while, I'm not going to let you lift a finger till the doctor givves you the 'okay'" He said, cupping her face gently in his hand and touching his noes to hers. His fingers lingered on her cheek even after he pulled back. "Okay? Promise me you won't try and do any work before your ready?" Kedrick asked, brushing at a piece of her dark brown hair.

Dimitri couldn't say her was terribly surprised at her reaction, She was a girl after all, it was natural for her to be jealous if another girl was mentioned in the same sentence as a guy she like. Dimitri startled at this thought, 'That's impossible! Maria can't like me! I've...I've given her no reason to like me! I don't even like me!' He scowled deeply. "Prim's just a girl that goes to the same school as Kedrick and I, she's in our biology class but that's it, I don't even like her, I was just looking for a name to make you je-" He stopped, realizing he had said to much. He turned away quickly, knowing if he didn't do something quickly and tactfully this would blow up in his face. "Alright!" He said, turning around and pointing at her. "Let's just get this out in the open, Do you like me or not?" He said, his face slightly pink. Dimitri wasn't sure what was wrong with him, any other girl and he would have come up with something that sounded dark, cool and seductive, so why did this girl make his face feel warm, his heart flop around in his chest ans his words come out all mixed up. 'Do you like me or not' certainly wasn't the smoothest thing he had ever said to a girl. He swallowed stiffly, feeling his face get more and more red by the second.

Arielle wanted to protest to what Kedrick had said. She knew that if she was easy on her left arm, then she could still anything that needed to be done at his, no, their home. She giggled and smiled sweetly at him as his nose touched hers. She held on lightly to his fingers, never wanting them to leave her face and nodded, sitting her hands back in her lap. "Alright, alright. I won't. Just, make sure you don't neglect our fridge. She needs all the love she can get." She giggled, adding on to their refrigerator joke.

Maria glanced at Dimitri as he continued, explaining how he was just using her name to make Maria jealous. Even if he didn't finish his sentence, Maria had an idea of what he actually meant. She didn't know if she should slap him in the face for that or feel glad that he actually has some kind of interest in her. But she refused to let her guard down at that moment, for all she knew, he could just be messing with her.

When he openly asked her if she liked him, she was caught off guard and finally looked him in the eye, a somewhat shocked expression on her face. Inside her mind, she wrestled with what to say or do after Dimitri had asked her that. She looked away again, trying to figure out if openly saying she liked him was the truth. But I barely know him, Maria added in her thoughts, as a rebuttal to the feelings she had inside, What in the world am I getting myself into?

After some moments of silence, she uncrossed her arms but now her hands rested on her hips as she looked Dimitri in the eyes. "Why do you want to know? Or, do you want me to know so that the next girl you want to flirt with you can tell her I'm just friend who just happens to be your best friend's girlfriend's best friend. Hmmm? Is that what this is all about? Because if it is, you can just forget it!" Inside, she was wishing she hadn't done that, but she refused to be roped in so easily. Plus, she always considered herself a hard to get girl. Except for him..., Maria thought, glancing away from Dimitri, I have no idea what kind of girl I am to him...

Kedrick Suwa

Kedrick smile gently at her, still feeling like he's do anything for her. "Of course, you may just have to remind me once in a while." He joked lightly. Kedrick hadn't realized how much he had missed the times when he had Arielle had joked and laughed together. Jonesy had taken that away in the past few days but now Kedrick was determined to get back the ease at which Arielle used to smile. If there was anything Kedrick wanted, it was to see Arielle smile like she used to.

Dimitri listened closly to what Maria said, determined not to miss one precious word, this was kind of important. Dimitri felt his jaw going slack with angry disbelief at what she said but he clenched his teeth together. He felt the color drain from his face as his blush was replaced by pale anger. He wanted to yell at her, something along the lines of 'You know what! Forget it, Just forget it! You go back to your life dating Keon whats-his-face, and darn it, I hope your happy 'cause you sure made a mess of this!' Those where the words that pushed against his lips, his usually violent temper begging him to lash out at the girl. Dimitri swallowed stiffly, his face still pale with anger, but he forced himself to consider what he said before he said it. He passed a hand across his forehead, realizing as he did that his hands where shaking. "No..." He said slowly, fumbling for words that wouldn't sound harsh, angry or insincere. "I want to know because....Well darn it I want to know!" He half-shouted, loosing his carefully maintained patience at the very end and turning back to her. Dimitri drew in a sharp breath though his teeth, trying to think of something that could possibly glaze over that. He sighed, running his fingers though his hair, wincing as they caught in several knots. "I want to know...Because...I...I care about you...." He said, his voice going so soft at the end that Maria lost the last four words of his sentence.

Arielle giggled some more, her smile brightening up. "Of course I will, and if I don't, I shall bequeath the task to my wonderful friend, Maria. It would be a shame if you forget about the well being of our fridge." Arielle never realized just how wonderful it felt to joke with Kedrick about silly things until after the episode with Jonesy. A part of her still couldn't believe that it was over, almost as if she was dreaming.

Just then, a knock came from Arielle door and she almost thought that it was Dimitri and Maria coming back in, but she was soon proven wrong when she realized that it was her grandparents coming in. Her grandparents waved their hands to Kedrick, acknowledging their hello to him before walking over to Arielle's bed.

Arielle's grandmother was the first to do anything between the family. She smiled at Arielle before wrapping her arms around her and crying tears of joy and relief. Arielle hugged her grandmother back, feeling happier more than ever to be with her grandmother. Tears slowly ran down her cheeks at the small touching moment. Her grandfather smiled and lightly messed with his head before patting Kedrick on the back.

"How are you doing, Kedrick? Did the food help?" Arielle's grandfather asked, the need to ask Kedrick more questions before his wife stopped him.

"Of course the food was good," Arielle's grandmother said after letting go of Arielle, stroking her granddaughter's cheek before looking at her husband and Kedrick with a small smile. "Even a man with no taste could say that."

Arielle wanted to protest, trying to find how her statement made no sense but could only giggle.

"Where are your other friends anyway, Arielle?" her grandmother asked with a soft smile.

Arielle only looked at her grandmother in surprise. "I thought... I thought you walked past them on your way up here."

Her grandfather shook his head before her grandmother could answer. "We went through a different way pumpkin. Is something wrong or did they leave already?"

Arielle could only sigh and give them a small smile, "Kedrick and I don't know, but we have a feeling that they're working it out as we speak."

While Maria was regretting what she had said to Dimitri, she was anxiously awaiting what Dimitri had to say. In all honesty, she wouldn't have been surprised if Dimitri did yell at her, but then she would've gotten mad at him, adding on to the tension that was already there.

Maria listened carefully as Dimitri spoke again and was almost tempted to shout back at him. Why do you want to know, Dimitri? Maria asked herself in her thoughts, Why is it so important to you? He continued and Maria had never felt her heart race as quickly as it did. She almost gasped when he got quiet. Because you what? she screamed the question in her head, having the same feeling she felt when one of her favorite crime shows reached a cliff hanger.

She let her arms fall and walked over to him, her hands resting on both sides of his arms and looked him in the eyes. "Because you what, Dimitri?" Maria asked kindly and softly, her anxiety finally being heard in her voice. Her body tingled as she laid her hands on his shoulders, her stomach did somersaults inside, and her heart raced faster than before. Never in her life had she anticipated a boys words as much as she had for Dimitri at that very moment.

Kedrick Suwa

Dimitri shifted slightly 'She still wants to know? even after all the yelling and tension....well...she asked for it, here goes...' He swallowed uncertainly, looking up at her. "I want to know...but I...care...I care about you." He finished after a moments hesitation, then realized that more probably needed to be said about this. He felt a little bit of color creep back into his pale cheeks. "I mean...ever since the Harvest Dance I guess...I've been thinking a lot about you. I know we don't really know each other that well, so I'm not asking you to fall into my arms and confess undieing love or anything like that...you don't even have to react....I just...though that...that you should know..." He trailed off lamely, once again looking at the ground, his stomach twisted in an odd knot.

Kedrick looked up, the smile on his face brightening as he saw Arielle's grandparents walked in. "The food was wonderful thank you." He said in response to Mr. Field's question, he laughed softly, glancing over at Arielle as her grandmother joked lightly about the food. His smile faltered slightly at the mention of Maria and Dimitri. 'what is going on out there?' He wondered briefly.

Maria felt herself being overwhelmed with her thoughts and emotions when Dimitri said the worst that had been lost to her. She never let her hands drop from his arms and listened as he continued. She could agree with everything he said, it was somewhat too early for them to confess their love to each other, especially since they've only officially met twice. Plus, when Maria first met Dimitri, he had an interest in Arielle. As he finished and looked away from her, Maria couldn't help but feel some bit of joy as she repeated the words in her head.

A soft smile came across her face and she finally let go, leaning in lightly to return the favor and kissed his forehead gently with a light blush. "To be honest, Dimitri," Maria said somewhat quietly but still loud enough for him to hear, "I...I like you too. And I agree with everything you're saying and I... I want to apologize... But... When Kedrick called you "lover boy", I thought he meant that you liked someone else and it just made me feel... Jealous. So, I wanted to make you jealous by saying I was going to go out with.... Keon... Honestly, I don't have a thing for him, but he was the first guy, after Matthias that popped into my head... And... In the beginning, I was just going to fake the call and the date, just to see how you would react, but when you mentioned that Prim girl to get back at me.... I... I just had to call him... Just to make things worse and.... Oh Dimitri, I'm so sorry... I wasn't really thinking... As usual..."

She too looked down at the ground, a mixture of shame and embarrassment. Now that she let the cat of the bag, she had to figure out what to do about Keon. She hated to stand him up, knowing that would be rude for both genders. Her mind continued wrapping around for a solution until she looked up quickly, a smile on her face. "I've got it!"

"See, I told you that you didn't need to ask that question, Milton," Mrs. Fields said with a smile.

"In all honesty, dear, you said no such thing," Mr Fields said with a soft chuckle before looking back at Arielle, "Your grandmother and I are so relieved that the both of you are alright, especially you Arielle. As for you Kedrick, thank you for protecting my granddaughter and saving her. I've already thanked Maria's father for his team taking care of that ruffian. I have to thank little miss Maria for being able to come up with such an amazing plan. She's destined for great things that girl is."

"I think it's all because of the crime shows she watches," Arielle said with a giggle, messing with her head and smiling at her grandparents.

"Oh, which reminds me," Arielle's grandmother broke in after a few seconds of silence, "When you are discharged, some of the cops are going to ask you questions about what happened, sweetheart. I just wanted you to know before a cop came over to Kedrick's place and you panicked. It's just so they have evidence for the case..."

"And, you have to attend court as well," Arielle's grandfather added with a small smile, "Don't worry, nothing bad will happen. It's just that they need anyone they can get to take care of this Jonesy for good."

Arielle nodded, taking everything her grandparents said to heart. She was hardly thinking that far ahead but she knew that it was going to come. The only thing she worried about now was if Jonesy had some hidden men around that would get revenge. No... There's no way that would happen..., Arielle thought before she began to worry too much.

Kedrick Suwa

Dimitri felt his cheeks heat up more as Maria kissed his forehead, reflecting on how the roles where reversed from the night before. He smiled slightly as she pulled back. "Lover boy was an old nick name Kedrick had for me...I uh...I stayed with him at the estate for a while a year or two back while..." He faltered slightly, realizing it was far to early for that either. "While my mom was have some renovations done on the house...I suppose he kind of picked up on some of my dating habits at the time, and...well so the nick name was born." He smiled slightly at her. "and don't worry about bad dating decisions, trust me I made them all the time." Dimitri said regretfully, rubbing the back of his neck. "So uhm....So what's this idea of yours? I'm anxious to see how this all works out."

Kedrick smiled slightly at the interactions between Arielle and her grandparents. He frowned slightly at the thought of police men showing up at the house and questioning Arielle about what had happened. He was sure it was all for the best but with a traumatic experience like this one it couldn't be pleasant to talk about it so soon afterward. "And a good thing too, The sooner he's put away the better." He said with a small smile. He reflected with a grim pleasure on the state he had left Jonesy's nose in, gushing blood and most definitely broken. He hopped it was reset incorrectly.

"Agreed," Mr. Fields said firmly, "Men like that are a disgrace to our society."

"You know, Milton," Mrs. Fields began, starting to go into one of her philosophical moods, "Maybe there was a reason for what he did. We don't know what he was like previously before Arielle met him. Maybe he had something going for him and then something bad happened.

"Or maybe, he was just a sick twisted man," Mr. Fields argued back calmly, "It's true that there could have been something in that young man's past, but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have been able to think up something as large scale as what he's done. Or maybe he just fell into the temptation of money and exploiting young innocent girls to the power of degrading older men."

Arielle always seemed to enjoy when her grandparents would have discussions like there. They would always try and figure out exactly why and how people turned out the way they turned out. One reason would probably be because they had read Caleb Carr's, The Alienist, which Arielle found to be a great book that even Maria loved reading, but also because they knew there was always two sides to every story. However, the entire conversation itself made Arielle feel a bit uncomfortable. Images from the day before flashed in her mind and she could hear the sound of the gunshot again, a noise she never wanted to hear again.

"But anyway, Arielle," Mrs. Fields said to try and steer the conversation to a brighter light, "It's nice that you don't have to stay cooped up in this room forever. And don't worry, a doctor of yours told us. I'm just so glad that I didn't loose my little Arielle."

"And I'm glad that I didn't lose any of you," Arielle said with a small smile, holding onto Kedrick's hand with a light squeeze.

Maria never felt more stupid then she did at that moment when Dimitri told her that "lover boy" was actually a nickname given to him by Kedrick. The more she processed that in her mind, the more ridiculous she felt about the episode that had happened in Arielle's hospital room. As he continued, something about his explanation with staying at Kedrick's awhile back seemed off, like there was more behind the story. She wouldn't ask him about it at the moment, but she would wait until he was ready.

Maria laughed lightly about bad dating decisions, now she knew she wasn't the only one. When he asked her about her idea, her eyes lit up and before she knew it, her plan came out with well thought precision and a lot of detail. "Okay, so, I was thinking since I already called Keon and asked to hang out with him after school tomorrow, you could bring this Prim girl with you and meet us at the park. And then, we can say that we were pairing them off and send them on their way for a very nice date. And the two of us can hang out like good old friends and get to know each other. No jealousies, no fights, no nothing. Just some quality time between the two of us. How does that sound?" She felt pride in her little scheme but her cheeks flushed lightly and she willed her heart to stop beating as loudly as it did.

Kedrick Suwa

Dimitri blinked slightly, looking a bit surprised. "You mean, you want to see if we can pair off Prim and this Keon guy?" He asked with a short bark of a laugh. Dimitri shook his head slightly. "You really do have a devious mind. Normally I'd say you were crazy and it'd never work but Prim happens to be the kind of girl that a guy wouldn't mind going out with and I mean that in a strictly factual sense, no personal opinions involved." He said with a slight smirk. "I just hope Keon's open to the idea." Dimitri paused a bit, considering the idea of just hanging out with Maria for a while, just to get to know her. He couldn't ever remember taking this approach with a girl before, but then again, Maria wasn't just any girl, she was something special. He smiled. "Actually, I'd like that a lot, I'll make sure to be there and we can talk. But for now, Kedrick and Arielle are probably looking for us, we ought to go inside before Kedrick gets the idea that I've done something stupid like go off and sulk for the rest of the day." He said with a soft laugh. He pushed open the door for her. "After you."

Kedrick's smile faded slightly as the conversation lingered on Jonesy. He didn't like to think about the possibility that maybe there was some reason Jonesy did what he did. It was to close to home, it reminded him too much of Dimitri and how he acted, and that wasn't a comparison he liked to make. Dimitri was nothing like Jonesy, but it forced him to think, forced him to accept the fact that nine times out of ten, there was more to someone than met the eye.

Kedrick squeezed Arielle's hand lightly. "Right, we'll be going home soon, and you can rest assured that I'll take good care of her." He said, smiling as he looked over at Arielle's grandparents. "I've already made her promise that she won't do any work till the doctor tells her it's alright."

"Thanks so much Kedrick," Mrs. Fields said sweetly, "If it wasn't for you and Maria... Our Arielle would have been..."

"Lost forever," Arielle said, finishing the sentence quietly. If no one had come to save her, she would have been taken away, basically kidnapped, to another one of Jonesy's employees who held some interest in her. Now that the unknown man had returned into her thoughts, what would he think about Jonesy getting arrested. Certainly he wouldn't try and do anything, right? Just leave the matter be Arielle, she thought to herself, pushing the thought away, If any such thing happens, let the police take care of it...

"We'll make sure to drop by and visit, of course," Mr. Fields said with a grin, already sensing that Arielle was being troubled about something, "And once the doctor says you can eat solid foods again, we'll make a feast to celebrate."

Arielle looked up and smile at her grandfather, appreciative of the thought. "Actually," Arielle said, running the idea through her head, "It would be a wonderful idea. And we can make it a barbeque! Invite Maria, and Dimitri, and Chief officer Vázquez and his entire squad."

"Might as well start preparing a feast for a thousand people," Arielle's grandmother joked lightly, especially since they were used to making food for such a large amount of people. "But of course we'll invite them. Is there anyone else you have in mind?"

"Kedrick's sisters," Arielle said readily before realizing something. She had never told them about her past and she had no idea how to bring it up to them. She looked at him and wondered if he had ever thought about telling them about what happened, especially since they had a right to know now.

Maria nodded when Dimitri finally realized the plan she had in mind. She only giggled, not denying the fact that Dimitri had just claimed. When Dimitri wondered if Keon was up to the idea, Maria wasn't sure herself, but it never hurt to try. She smiled warmly at him and nodded in agreement, realizing that they had been out for a long time. She smiled at him and walked inside, thanking him and turned to face him, holding out her hand.

"Let me introduce myself properly, like we're starting over again," Maria said with a smile, "My name is Maria Inez Navarro Vázquez, but as you know, you can call me Maria." Her accent had slipped out when she said her name, but it had a nice ring to it.

Kedrick Suwa

((XD I'm bad with Spanish, how do you say her last name?))

Dimitri smiled when she held out her hand for a proper introduction, but it faltered to a slightly confused frown when her name turned out to be longer than he expected. It kind of reminded him of a scene in a movie he had watch when he was little, Peter Pan it might have been. When the girl was introducing herself as Wendy Moira Angela Darling, and in respond the boy answered that his name was simply Peter and that girls talked too much. Dimitri's smiled quickly returned and he reach out taking her hand and shaking it gently. "Dimitri Jameson Hunter. It's a pleasure to officially meet you." With a small smirk, Dimitri let his hand slip from hers and the two of them walked up the few flights of stairs to Arielle's hospital room.

Kedrick found himself laughing delightedly at the thought of a barbecue, complete with Maria, Dimitri, all his sisters, Maria's father and his whole squad. "It sounds like a wonderful idea!" He said, his smile widening as he turned to Arielle. "You have to hurry up and get better okay?" He said with a smile.

Dimitri walked up to the door or the hospital room, Maria close by his side. He pushed open to door, "We're back." He called with a smile, and suddenly, he realized that Kedrick and Arielle weren't alone in the room. Even though he had never met them, Dimitri had no doubt that these where Arielle's grandparents. His heart skipped a beat as his phobia of meeting people's parents or grandparents kicked in. It wasn't really a phobia because for him, it was completely rational. 'what are they going to think of me?' He wondered briefly, knowing he was doomed to be introduced to them by Arielle. He was nervous enough at it was, and he would have been more nervous still if he had heard them cross-examining Jonesy's motives a few minutes before.

Kedrick looked up, smiling at his pale-face friend. "Hey, I was beginning to think you had gotten lost." He said, still in high spirits from the thought of the barbecue.

Dimitri smiled weakly. "Maria and I were just setting up a Da- uh...appointment." He said, rubbing the back of his neck.

Kedrick smiled thinking nothing of it. "Well, come on in, there someone here you need to meet." He glanced over at Arielle. "Will you do the honors?" He asked.

((Done! And now Dimitri has a last name too! Although I may have mentioned it once before...>.< ))

Maria giggled, realizing that Dimitri was not used to the fact of hearing a full Latin American/Hispanic name. When he took her hand shook it gently, there was no denying the fact that she felt weak in the knees. She smiled when he introduced himself, keeping his full name to heart. She almost wanted to take hold of his hand when he let go, but she refrained, knowing that she would be a blushing mess on the way back to Arielle's room. She followed him back up the stairs, hoping that the sound of her heart racing wasn't being too loud.

Arielle smiled and playfully poked Kedrick. "So let's see, I can't lift a finger and take care of myself while I'm bedridden, but you want me to hurry up and feel better for a barbeque? You are so silly, Kedrick. But don't worry, I'm sure it won't take me too long to feel better."

"Might as well start shopping now, Georgia," Mr. Fields said with a small smirk.

When Dimitri and Maria had returned, Arielle was glad to see that they were able to patch up whatever problem they had earlier. Neither of them, Arielle, Maria, or Arielle's grandparents knew that Dimitri had a phobia about meeting parents or guardians of people he knew. Maria walked in with a bright smile, waving happily to Arielle's grandparents. She nodded in agreement with what Dimitri had said readily. Arielle gave her friend a curious look when she noticed the slip up of what the previous word would've been, but didn't think too much of it.

"Of course," Arielle said with a smile as she moved a little bit in her bed, "Dimitri, these are my grandparents. Grandma, grandpa, this is Dimitri, Kedrick's best friend."

"Grandma! Grandpa!" Maria exclaimed happily as she went over to hug Arielle's grandparents, "When did you get here and how in the world did I miss you?"

"That's only because we came a bit earlier and through a different entrance, Maria," Arielle's grandfather said with a warm smile before messing with her hair like he would do with Arielle. "Oh and before I forget, I mean, we forget," Arielle's grandfather said while looking back at his wife, "Thank you for saving Arielle. Your father told us the entirety of your plan, and I have to say, that was really impressive. You're going to do great following in your father's footsteps."

"Th-Thank you," Maria said, suddenly feeling a bit nervous, "It was nothing really. I had to what I needed to do to protect my best friend."

"And it's a pleasure to meet you as well, Dimitri, " Arielle's grandmother said with a warm smile, "You can call me Mrs. Fields or Grandma Georgia and as for my husband you can call him Mr. Fields or Grandpa Milton."

"You have such a nice set of friends, Arielle," Mr. Fields said with a warm smile.

Arielle nodded, smiling brightly and for what seemed like the millionth time that day, held onto Kedrick's hand. "They're the greatest friends a girl could have. Oh! And Maria, how would you, your father, and your father's squad feel about having a celebratory barbeque once I got better?"

Maria gave it some before nodding readily. "That's a fantastic idea! Dad would love that so much and the men would enjoy it too. Hopefully the weather's nice on that day."

Arielle giggled again and her smile grew at Maria's enthusiasm. She looked over at Dimitri. "You know you're invited too, right? I want you to come as well since we're friends."

(Oh, and how to pronounce Maria's last name... I'm still working on that XD)

Kedrick Suwa

Dimitri smiled nervously at Arielle's grandparents, feeling like the pit of his stomach had dropped out. The seemed nice, in fact, they seemed wonderful, the definition of perfect grandparents, but he couldn't help feeling nervous. He straightened slightly, deciding he was just going to do his best to make a good impression. He smiled slightly, nodding his head to each of Arielle's grandparents in turn. "Mr. and Mrs. Fields, It's...it's good to meet both of you, Arielle's talked a lot about you." He said, hoping this was the appropriate this to say.

Kedrick smiled slightly, also over looking Dimitri's nervousness. All their plans sounded so wonderful, most of them had to do with eating, but that wasn't a problem. A barbeque with Arielle's grandparents, a dinner at the Japanese restaurant with Maria and Dimitri, Kedrick could hardly wait.

Dimitri looked up, a little bit surprised when Arielle invited him to the barbeque. He blinked slightly but smiled. "Yeah, sure, I'd love to come." He said, surprised at how much he like that idea. 'After all, Maria will be there...' He swallowed stiffly. 'where did that come from? he wondered, shaking his head slightly.
