{I doubt Morgan's going to care for at least a couple of days, seeing as how's he unconcious, deaf, blind, and laying in the infirmary.}

The noise got louder and louder the more they sat there listening. Without hesitance, Jacen looked at Elena and said, "Friendly lot, these folks are, eh?" She didn't give a very assuring glance after that. The townsfolk were nearly to the house when it grew silent for second. Then, a multitude of screams and shouts of horror.

Almost as soon as the screams started, Jacen felt that familiar sickening feeling. Groggily, he held his head and choked back his upchuck for a moment. Elena looked alot worse than he felt. She was lying in a nigh-catatonic state. Then, he felt the house shake. There was a loud crack, then the house shook again.

"Elena," Jacen said quietly as he knelt down by her, "Where are my things?" She couldn't say anything, but she weakly pointed to a room in the back of their small abode. Slowly, he stumbled into the room and saw his things hanging there, picture perfect. The uniform, looking brand new. His cloak, looking as if it were actually pressed for once. And the gauntlets...

With a new resolve, he hurriedly slipped one of the gauntlets on his right hand and cut the bandages that held his left arm stable against his body. He grimaced in pain as his arm fell limp to his side. And as much as he didn't want to, he discarded the gauntlet and, as quick as he could, pulled his uniform on. He nearly took off from there, but he forgot one thing. With his talons equipped, he took one finger and carefully cut the bandages away from his face. His wounds felt a tad bit better, but he knew he wasn't completely healed. All the while, the shaking of the house became more violent, and the noise became louder and louder.

Still stumbling a bit, Jacen walked out to where Elena was only to hear one final crack and saw the roof of the house cave in. In a flash, Jacen ran up to Elena and crouched over her, protecting her from falling debris. When he looked back, all he saw was splintered lumber and snow. There was still a bit of dust in the air, but soon that would clear up.

"Are you alright? Elena?," Jacen asked, careful not to hurt her shoulder as he shook her gently. "Elena?" Then he felt something get really tight around his neck, and he was flung hard, shoulder first into the nearby wall.

With a bloodcurdling shout of agony, Jacen held his left shoulder and looked at the perp. It was Omega Red. Again.

"I've found you. Thief," he said as he stalked over the piles of debris to get to Jacen. As he stepped on one small stack, Jacen noticed a hand lying limp in the debris; a child's hand. When he looked about twenty feet to the right, he saw Fyodor's face through the rubble. It was contorted and broken from the collapse. Instantly, he started to get angry when a massive tendril wrapped itself around his neck again only to pull him right into Omega Red's face.

"You honestly thought that frozen water would stop me?," he asked sarcastically while tighten the hold on Scion's neck. Jacen was nearly passed out again, hanging onto conciousness by a thread.

"...........Not really," he squawked barely, "But hopefully this will!" With that, Scion shoved both of his hands, palm first, into Omega Red's face and unleashed a massive blast of energy, enough to clear away the debris on which they stood and a few houses down the way. He felt the tendril go limp as Scion fell to the ground on one knee. Omega Red was sent back only a few feet and he was getting up, ready to strike again.

Still feeling the effects of Omega's 'death pheremone', Jacen got physically ill, and noticed Elena was worse for wear. "I've got to get her out of here.....there's no need for her entire family to die tonight....," he thought as he went over to scoop her up.

"Pathetic little mutant," Omega Red chided as he strode straight in and again grabbed Scion up. Only this time, he had Scion's arms locked tight in his tendrils and was trying to rip him in half. Scion could only wince in pain as he felt his left shoulder getting ripped out of socket again.

The only thought in his mind aside from reading himself the last rites was, ".....I need a miracle to get out of this....."

{And a miracle he shall have. A miracle named Ares!}

He could feel the sphere moving, but he wasn't sure how. Things stopped making sense the moment he arrived home, and found that envelope. In his mind, he kept replaying parts of the message. A degree of control that he'd yet to dream of... That's what the man had said.

Before he knew it, he felt the sphere slowing to a stop. The section of the sphere that he'd entered through opened again, and he stepped out into what looked like a hanger bay. The sound of footsteps against the metallic floor caused him to whirl around. And there he stood, resplendent in his red armor, the polished metal of the helmet glinting in the dim light.

"I've invited you here to request your assistance. Follow me. I will explain on the way," he said, in the same deep voice that Jamie'd heard in the recording.

"On the way to where?"

"To your payment, of course. Come along," the man said, striding towards one of the doorways leading from the room. Jamie followed silently.

"One of my lieutenants was sent to retrieve several important files from a military controlled base in the arctic. I tracked his progress, but lost contact a short while ago. The files he was carrying were of extreme importance. If he has been killed, than those files will never reach me, and I cannot allow them to be returned to the base," the man explained, moving swiftly down the corridor, and speaking with a distinct air of authority.

"Let me geuss. You need me to go and get those files for you."

"Correct. I would also ask you to ascertain the fate of my lieutenant. In return, I am willing to offer you an item that you will find extremely intriguing," the man explained. {Scion's a lieutenant, right? I'll edit if I need to.}

Control over my powers... Jamie thought. "Well, we'll just see what this "item" is first, then I'll decide if I'm interested or not," Jamie replied. In truth, however, he was interested.

The man whom he'd been floowing stopped in front of a plate steel door, which didn't seem to have an mechanism to open it. With a motion of the man's hand, the door slid aside. The room darkened, and had a cramped feeling to it.

"Where are we?"

"The item I mentioned is located here. Observe."

A tube in the center of the room was suddenly illuminated, and hanging within it was what looked like a scaffolding in the shape of a person. It resembled the exoskeleton units that you heard about on the news, designed to help crippled people walk.

"This unit is designed to help you regulate and channel the energy that fuels your power. There are several extra battery units installed in the unit, which will allow you to store a greater degree of raw energy, and the exoskeleton itself will allow you to channel that power with a much greater efficiency than you are used to. It also affords a greater degree of protection than most conventional armor, and is designed to be featherlight, as to not hinder motion."

Jamie circled the tube holding the exoskeleton, looking quite impressed.

"So, where'd you say your buddy was?" Jamie says, his eyes turning back to the man.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Several minutes later...

Ares was wearing the exoskeleton provided for him, and was standing in the hangar bay, in front of the orb used to transport him here. "I head in, extract the files, and head out. Got it," he said, stepping into the orb. This thing fits perfectly, he thought as he examined the sphere. He'd already filled the powercells by absorbing some of the dim light in the hanger, and so far, it seemed to be working. The sphere closed up behind him, and he was off.

Within about three minutes, the sphere touched down in a small village, near the collapsed remains of his house. As he stepped out, he saw a massive beam of something blast a hole through the side of the building (I'm assuming it's a single story buidling), and a few houses down the way. "Well, I geuss I'm in the right place," Ares said, stepping out of the silvery orb. There were villagers strewn everywhere, most of them with large circular wounds through their bodies.

The building before him was where he would find the person he was seeking. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. He quickly rushed into the doorway, and found a tentacled mutant holding another a person in front of him.

Ares was already on the attack. He let loose a blast of energy from his palms at the back of the tentacled mutant, making him stumble forward a few steps, and to lose his grip on the person he was holding.

OOC: Grrr, Gaia ate my last post and it was long. Preachign to the chior I guess..

IC:

"Do you mind being my eyes back?" Alanna asked a bit less sheepish than usual. It was nice having somebody like her in a way around, even nicer that the person was her roomate. At least if she accidentally set something on fire, it might scare Gen enough to create a blizzard to stop it.

Gen said she didn't mind and Alanna put her hand on Gen's shoulder as they headed back to the girls dorm. She pointed out their room which had a front view of the lawn. The girl's shower room was right acrossed the hallway. Penny and Regina had the room on their right and Kitty and Rogue had the room to their left.

"We have to get some plants in here," Gen said as Alanna guided herself to her bed.

Alanna smiled glad that Gen realized that was her problem, "Yes, we do. And just maybe I won't accidentally kill them.... or you won't with a frost."

The both laughed at that. The elemental mishaps that they might cause. Alanna sat down on her bed and felt paper crumpling underneath it. Surprisingly, it had braile writing on it and she read what it said.

"Wha?? Vote for Pietro and have pie assemblies every friday?? Are they joking?" Alanna sat in disbelief. Who did this guy have working for him?

OOC: AAAAHHH, two Jamies. This is going to get confusing smile

"Mother effer, I was looking for that one," Penny threw her bra in the hamper and flipped up the blanket hanging on the side of her bed, "Nothing better eat my arm that's under here."

"Bob should be gone," Regina said referring to a left over Taco Bell burrito that had been in their room for at least six months that they collectively called Bob.

That was when an arm did grab her and made Penny scream and hit her head off the side of her bed.

"I'm going to bloody kill you," Penny dragged a blue elf out from under her bed. Kurt was rolling on the floor in laughter, "And what the hell are you doing under my bed?"

"I heard you in the hall," Kurt said, "Can't smell the brimstone in this room..."

Penny did take a hard sniff of the room. She had been so used to all the crap they had smelling that she really didn't notice the smell of the teleporter, "God we really have to clean more often. We're growing a science project in here."

Kurt leaned on the door, "Now, would either of you find ladies like to accompany me to the Bayville prom."

Penny had to sly her way out of that one. She hated hurting people's feelings, "After that, Elf, I'm not in any mood to talk about prom."

Gen smiled and looked around. "Yeah, definately in need of some foliage... So you have elemental powers as well?" She wondered what her new roommate was capable of. She liked feeling needed for a change. ~I think I'm going to try and make this work... a friendship at least.~

Regina laughed and grinned at Kurt. She had always had a crush on him. "I wouldn't mind going with you Kurt. It'd be a lot of fun."

"Great! We'll do the color code thing later. Have fun cleaning..." Kurt said with a grin and bamfed out.

"I can't believe we didn't know he was in here!" Penny groaned, sitting on her bed.

"Can you blame him? This room is a disaster area. We need to clean it... or we'll get a demotion or something." REgina pointed out. "Room inspection in 2 days."

"Guess these gotta go then. Jean always finds them," Penny threw away another pack of her cigarettes she had hidden under her bed. She was meaning to kick the habit one of these anyway.

"Yes, you should. For somebody who can smile a turkey dinner a thousand miles away, you'd think the ordor would have made you vomit by now."

"Okay, mom, that's the last pack then," Penny crushed them and threw them in the trash bin. She yawned, "Oh well, I'm too damn tired. We can finish this tomorrow and then make a vow of cleanliness."

"Oh," Alanna said almost shocked, "I'm surprised I held it together this long."

She let out a breath and stopped concentrating on her form. Her hair turned from brown to a silvery blue and her eyes went into an ice blue color. Light spots like a a fawn or a cheetah started to line down her face, "I'm an elemental... My appearance changes with my mood or environment sometimes out of my control. I can also tap into the natural environmenet around me to change it. I'm not very good at it yet... but I could be good..."

Alanna thought back on Freya, "Freya. She's a really good elemental type... kinda intuned with the earth in some way. She said she could teach me if I wanted. I'm thinking about the offer. My counselor here hasn't been much guidance and Ororo holds back when teaching me."

Regina changed into some chinese style clothes for PJs and pushed a cuople extra sets of clothing off her bed. Pulling up her blankets she laid on one side so she could look and talk to Penny as they zonked out.

"You know... I still wonder just what's going on with Pietro and Magneto... but I think I'm going to concentrate on the school prom and maybe... run against Pietro for class president." regina said iwth a grin, not at all serious about the last part.

"I need a lot of work too." Gen said with a sigh, sitting on the fairly barren side of the room. "If my emotions get out of wack, I start a blizzard. Probably not the best thing for anyone... mutant or human. I just got here so I really don't know what's going to happen."

The signs continued to appear about the school, the town, and even random cards left in mailboxes...

PIETRO: More than just a pretty, gorgeous, sexy, unnattainable, perfect, and just plain beautiful face.

He'll make a fine, FINE President too...

Jamie woke up suddenly, finding that he'd fallen asleep in a chair in the infirmary. He shook his head and heard paper rustling. He reached up to find a piece of paper taped to his forehead.

PIETRO: More than just a pretty, gorgeous, sexy, unnattainable, perfect, and just plain beautiful face.

He'll make a fine, FINE President ******** hell. . ." Jamie muttered under his breath. He stood up slowly, swaying slightly, still exausted from using his powers. He slowly trudged up to his room, and sat on his bed. He looked at the empty bed and sighed. He was lying on his side, just about ready to sleep when he suddenly sat straight up.

"s**t."

He dimly remembered the essay that had been assigned by Kim. It seemed so long ago. He booted up his laptop, and set it on his lap. The Effect of Pshycological powers on the mind. . . or is it affect?

Scion could feel agonizing pain wracking his body as Omega Red tried to rip him in half. He did all he could to hold on, but soon, he was nearly passed out. Adrenaline can only go so far. It seemed like this was going on forever, and Scion was ready to actually throw in the towel and resign himself to a rather messy death. Just as he was whispering his own last rites, he saw a blinding flash of energy hit Omega Red in the back, sending him stumbling forward. It broke the big man's concentration enough to drop Scion.

Almost as soon as he touched the ground, Scion knelt down and proceeded to get sick. After a minute of violent coughing and the physical ejection of his dinner, Scion looked to be alright. He looked around for a second, disoriented from the pain and the effect of Omega Red's pheremones, to see Elena still lying there. She wasn't safe here. Not in the slightest. It looked like the rest of the house could fall over at anytime.

Wearily, Scion stood up and shuffled his way to the young woman's position. The closer he got, the more he could tell she was breathing. When he knelt down, he looked at her for a brief moment, noting her glasses were broken due to her falling over. "...Come on," Jacen said as he gently picked her up and carefully slung her over his good shoulder. She was surprisingly light for being a passed out human that everyone knows equals deadweight. He looked over at Omega Red noting that he was now engaging the newcomer to the scene. That should buy him enough time.

Time it did buy him as he took Elena out through a hole he punched in the wall. Not the brightest idea, but he needed to get her out of there. "Stay safe," Jacen said to her unconcious form as he laid her carefully on the snow. She'd recover from this sickness, he thought, though it may take awhile.

He turned around and started to stalk towards Omega Red. He was pissed. He was pissed that he decided to attack them right here. He was pissed that all of Elena's family was killed. By him. They didn't deserve that at all. Granted, he was grateful, in a way, that he didn't have to deal with that mob, but they didn't deserve to die so brutally.

"HEY!! ********!!!!," Jacen yelled angrily at Omega Red, "You anxious to fight? Well, then let's rumble!" He knew he couldn't do much of anything to Omega Red. Maybe with this new person's assistance, but on his own, he was nothing. If anything, he could be a damn good decoy.....

OOC: I haven't had time to read through all of Jacen's posts (so I dont know if this has been addressed yet), but just before we start bending Omega in half, you should keep in mind four things:

1) His armor is as strong if not stronger than Adamantium, and his skin is rock hard even when its bare.

2) His tentacles are at least as strong as Doctor Octopus', with greater mobility.

3) His armor and tentacles are actually artificial mutations. His true mutation is the creation of "death spores", highly toxic and pathogenic spores that will knock out anyone who gets close. These spores have affected Iceman even when he was iced up, so they are very potent.

4) He's much smarter than he looks.

So yeah, have fun with the fight ^_^

{Yeah, I know. I did a little research on him before the fight. And the spores a linked to his tentacles, which are made of carbondium, or something that sounds like it, and he needs to eject them, or he'll kill himself with them. Unless he finally manages to get his hands on the synthesizer, which will negate the effects upon his own body. Oh, and I did a drawing of Ares' new exo-skeleton. I'll upload it after supper. Which is in two minutes, so I'll see you later.}
