Bavira smiled. "Thanks...mom." He whispered the last part. Then he put the sword on his belt. He turned ot Jack. "I wonder what city we're close to...?"

Bavira nodded and ran to his room. He returned with his sextant* (used to determine location using the sky) in hand along with a compass. He scanned the sky until he could spot either the moon or the North Star. His eyes spotted the rim of the moon from far away. "Okay...yesterday was a half moon, so..." He leveled the sextant with the horizon and thought back to how they got there, where they were heading to. He dropped his arm. "Jack, don't go to shore. Or wew're going to be in some serious trouble." He looked concerned.

Bavira looked at Jack. "We're near the Scarlet Empire, notorious for hating pirates. And I know you're all pyrates, but still.." He frowned as he recalled all the bad and scary stories he heard about as a child, growing up under his Mater's care.

Bavira nodded. "Yeah. Best to avoid trouble like them. Master used to tell me all kinds of horrid story about them."

Bavira thought about it, then smiled. "If we head out to the west, we'll come upon Iluya Island. A place famous for good food!" He sighed. "Back in my town, I used to always see sailors who've been there come back with these total grins on their faces!"

Bavira smiled. "Good food is always loved!" He then went to his room to mark the general location of the Scarlet Empire. I've avoided it now, but, someday, I'll go there.

Bavira smiled. "Let me try something." He faced west, then east. He closed his eyes and breathed out words of draconic ancients. A moment passed, then an eastern wind started to blow.
