"I can't. I'm bait." Chess said, her turn to speak dryly, giving Kirama a pointed look "He's training my boyfriend by kidnapping me and pretending to threaten my life. I'm not going anywhere until Apollos done."" she was stubborn, her arms crossed over her chest and her legs tightly clenched together. Her black hair hung partly over her face as she scowled, giving her a slightly creepy look.

Sannin of Magma- Jaice Tsumehari- The Black Dragon of Konoha The clone suddenly dispelled as a crunch sounded. A massive form that seemed to be clad in silver armor and spikes stood several feet away. "Then he should hurry," the giant, Jaice in his Reigou Gusoku no Jutsu-Joukyuu Futatsu state, said in a deep voice. Curved spikes rose from the backs of the giant's forearms in three rows of four, curving back toward the elbow. Two larger spikes, curving inward toward the head, rested on the giant's shoulders. "Let's just say, Kirama, that I have some very interesting secrets, of which this happensto be one," he said, tilting his head toward Kirama.

Chess instantly backpedalled, distancing herself from the large figure, frantic to get away. She turned and leapt to another branch before glaring at Jaice, angry at being scared "Nash was right! You do always pop up out of nowhere!" she snapped, one hand on her chest. For a moment Chess had almost summoned her doll to attack the figure when it first showed up but now she was glad she hadn't "Geez!"

Sannin of Magma- Jaice Tsumehari- The Black Dragon of Konoha Jaice chuckled, amusement plain in the tone. "When you're around me, ya gotta stay on your toes; it can save your life when you least expect it," he said, sounding thoroughly amused at first and dead serious near the end. He knew, since staying alert and on his toes had saved his life when Setoru had impaled him.

Chess scowled "You expect me to suspect you're going to kill me everytime you show up?" she growled, stepping back onto her original branch carefully. She kept her arms crossed over her chest as she walked back over "Sorry if I want to trust the people I'm around." she'd been scared and so she was being waspish and rude, just like Nash when he got angry or scared about something.

Sannin of Magma- Jaice Tsumehari- The Black Dragon of Konoha Jaice shook his head fractionally. "I mean to stay alert when you're on missions, it will save your life one day. I trust those I have fought alongside with and grown up with," he said dryly with a faint smile. His swirling silver gaze narrowed fractionally. "Besides, if I meant to kill you, you won't get much of a warning," he said, subtly reminding her to stay alert at all times; their lives weren't easy by a long shot and rarly were longer than sixty years, usually.

"I'm not on a mission right now. And everyone I grew up with died already, so your advice is useless." Chessa replied, her temper short and her words harsh. She had yet to find anyone to trust yet but she hadn't given up "When I have someone I can fight with, then I'll take your advice to heart." she sat, still a fair distance away from Jaice and Kirama.

My skill with it enables me to be both wary and relaxed simultaneously; with practice, it comes easily," he said quietly. He leaned against the tree he was next to, staring out over the lake without speaking.

Chess squeezed her eyes together, annoyed, but resisted sticking out her tongue at the serious Jaice "You should tell that to Nash. He doesn't trust anyone." she turned so she was sitting with her legs hanging over the side of the branch, swinging them back and forth gently.

"Don't listen to Jaice, he's all bark and no bite. Has been since I was training him." Kirama muttered in Chessa's direction. "As for those people you keep bringing up Jaice, they're all ghosts to me. I couldn't even put a name to a face if you wanted me to." He added, a slightly bored tone in his voice. Kirama had long passed the point where he jumped at such tom foolery.

"I already did," Jaice said with a deadpan look, faintly smiling before silver-white chakra twisted and swirled around him before he reappeared in his normal form, though he had some reddish white burns on the entire left side of his face and that eye was closed due to blood having trickled over it. His clothes were dusty and his body armor looked somewhat battered. "I know one thing, once I'm healed the first place I'm heading is the Hot Springs," he muttered, opening one dark teal eye as he rolled his neck on his shoulders. He smiled slightly at Kirama's words. "Don't be so sure of that, Kirama," he said softly. He clenched one hand before it ignited in a bright silver aura of chakra. "You remember me when I was a Genin, but you never saw me at full strength, full bore," he said quietly.

Chess glanced at Kirama as he spoke but didn't reply, still waiting for Apollo to finish up his training These guys are so weird... Its like they're comparing themselves, trying to out do the other. she sighed and her head fell forward into her chest.

"Nor you I Jaice. And I have eyes everywhere my friend." Kirama said in a sly tone. This was getting ridiculous, so whatever Jaice had to say he could have the last word. At least I still have a pretty face. Kirama thought with an internal laugh.

Chess yawned, covering her mouth with a hand, rubbing her eyes afterwards and she pulled a leg up. Resting her head on her knee, she watched the two men with sleepy interest They just keep talking...! They seem like friends but they argue like enemies.
