"I can't wait to introduce you. Come on."

David took her hand gently and led her inside the chimes over the door rang as it closed, inside it smelled strongly of garlic and spices, The same music that had been playing in the car played on the radio beside the register and The man who sat behind the counter closed his this book and smiled at them with a brown wrinkled face. Woody had moved to America thirty years ago with his late wife and daughter. His wife had died of a heart condition and his daughter had a family of her own across the country. His actual name was Farshid Woudala. But everyone called him Woody.

"Davy, you's your friend? hu?"

The old man smiled and got up at lean on the counter with his arms crossed , getting closer so that Dave could reach over the table top and hug the man momentarily. then looked to Sky.

"Woody, this is Sky. She's new in town, I'm showing her around. She goes to my school."

The old man nodded and poured a couple of glasses of water, setting them on the bar where they took a seat on the tall bar stools.

"Well, It's wonderful to meet you Sky. Davy's never brought a girl by. I was beginning to think he was a little light in the loafers."

The old man joked and laughed. He winked at David and turned to walk back into the kitchen. There was no ordering here when Woody didn't want to take orders, he just made what he felt like you might like and you eat it.

Tyler looked up at her and stared at her face. Her scared face... and that was enough to sober him up a bit more and she probably could see it a bit in his face as he looked at her. "Beckie.... don't be afraid of me..." He told her softly as he struggled to get up a bit before falling from his knees to the floor with a thud and a laugh. "I lvoe you Beck... you are my best friend in the world... when you frown I frown, because you are the most wonderful human being in hte world." He told her softly as he crawled over to her and hugged one of her legs.

He started to laugh at what she had said. Then I'd still be nervous and claim I need to shower at home... in order to get ready... because I'd be that nervous..." He told her with a laugh as he loosely hugged her leg, she'd be able to escape if she needed or wanted to.

Don't judge....

Sky smiled and allowed herself to be led inside by David. She felt a little awkward when he had taken her hand but she let it slide this time....it wasn't as if she was doing anything wrong with David, they were just going out to dinner is all. She took a seat on one of the stools at the bar and sipped at the glass of water Woody had poured for them. She gave the old man a bright smile as she set her glass down and turned in her seat towards David.

"He reminds me of my grandpa." Schuyler laughed, she took another sip of water and listened to the familiar music. The atmosphere was definitely helping her mood and she felt grateful for going out on the town with David. Whatever Woody was cooking in the back smelled delicious and Sky could feel her stomach aching.

It was a laid back and casual meeting with David. Things seemed to be going well and she hoped things were going well with Tyler as well. She didn't want to think about him too much while she was with David though...it would only depress her. Schuyler contemplated sending him a text to see if he was okay but thought against it. He was probably curled up with Beck somewhere, either her house or his own. Schuyler grimaced and took another gulp of water and sighed, her finger tracing the rim of the glass.

Beck Troop✼❀✿

Beck pulled her leg back and stepped towards the door, he didn't want to to reinforce this type of behavior with positives like physical contact. She stood against the door frame and looked down at Tyler from there.

"Tyler. I love you too, but.. well... You're drunk. And, I don't want to be around someone who's drunk, at least not with physical contact. I'm sure you understand."

She was deathly afraid of the possibility of being hurt by her friends because they were altered by drugs or alcohol because she would hesitate to fight back. And anything in a fight when Beck had hesitated she had lost...

Tyler watched her run from him, it broke his heart further but he knew he had to stop going towards her. "I know... I know... you know this isn't me Beck..." He told her weakly which it was true it wasn't him at all, he drank rarer than the football team won games. His body reacting towards her timidness dragged him across the floor to the bed where he eventually got up to it.

"Its okay... I understand... I forgave you, you can leave Beck.. I know you don't want to see me this way or be near me like this." He spoke again weakly as he turned to face the wall away from her which was against his bed.

"I never knew my grandpa, but I'm sure Woody's much cooler."

Dave winked and took a sip of his water. minutes later the old man returned with two parchment lined little plastic baskets. each held a falofal wrap and hummus with a few extra pieces of pita. The boy picked up his wrap and took a bite chewing quickly. It was the food he had grown up eating, Made by his role model. Nothing could have been better to the boy.

"What's your grandpa like?"

The boy was curious. He never had one of his own and if they were anything like Woody it would have been great to have one.

"I'm sorry Ty. Please be smart."

Beck turned and walked down the hall and down the stairs. Tyler was drunk. He would probably get drunker now. She left the house and ran back to her own home. Her bare feet on the well manicured lawns felt natural. Soon the door was locked behind her and she was laying on the couch. The couch was a perfect place to fall asleep when she was home alone like this. From there she could hear everything in the house. Nothing could surprise her there while she was awake that it.

Don't judge....

Schuyler smiled and nearly jumped with delight when Woody came back with the baskets of Middle Eastern foods that made her stomach constrict painfully. It smelled delicious and just as he set it down, she reached for the wrap and gingerly took a bite. She wasn't one for denying different foods but she had a bad experience once and it left her with food poisoning. Whatever it was however...it tasted heavenly and she took a bite and covered her mouth delicately with her hand. If ever there should have been a choir of angels singing, it would have been at that moment. Schuyler didn't dare speak until she finished off the wrap. The music, the company, the food....all of it lightened her mood and she completely forgot about her pains for awhile. She would have to thank David for everything later on. Sky sipped her water until she found herself suitable for speech.

"My grandfather was the greatest. He would tell me stories about the old days and sometimes he would get a far away look in his eyes as if he were actually there while he was telling me. I remember when I was a little girl," Schuyler smiled secretly. It had been such a long time since she was a "little girl". "Whenever I would go to his house, he would have these old little lollipops just for me. I forget what they were called but they were sweet and a little tangy and covered in a funny tasting tamarind paste. It was the greatest thing...the thing of my childhood. He passed away though...sadly." Schuyler frowned, suddenly feeling nostalgic.

Tyler turned around as Beck left his house. He was hoping she would have stayed and kept his lonely heart company but he was an idiot and drunk so that wasn't going to happen. As he stumbled to the desk he stared at the bottle in anger before pouring another shot. He held the bottle and the glass in his hands and looked them both before giving up, he walked over to the sink in the bathroom and dumped them both, leaving the bottle and the glass in the sink for later when he was sober.

With a sigh he laid on the bed and stared upward. He wanted Sky, he wanted Beck. He wanted the people who loved him back with him again he felt so lonely, so in need of feeling like he was something important to someone.

David romanticized having family, he sometimes thought that he would have turned out better if he did have more than just his mom sometimes. But then he realized that the whole town was his family. The community had raised him and he was truly part of all of them.

"I'm sorry to hear that, it must have been hard for you... Do you like ice cream?"

The boy had already finished his food and was thinking about the next experience he could give her. Woody had gone in to the kitchen or some where leaving them alone. The young man finished the last of his water and took a ten out of his back pocket then leaned over the counter to place the bill on the cash register.

Don't judge....

Schuyler waved away his apology, it wasn't his fault her grandfather had died. It was just the way things had to be. Life and Death were all a part of life and fearing it or running away from it was nonsensical junk. It was going to happen whether or not you wanted it to. A line from a famous Emily Dickinson poem recited itself in Sky's head as she thought of this.

"Ice cream?" Schuyler questioned aloud once she had finished off her meal and took a quick sip of water. If things kept going the way they were, she was going to have to work out the next day to rid herself of the calories she was very likely to ingest soon.

"Sounds good to me." Sky smiled widely.

Schuyler fished her cell phone out of her pocket and had no messages or missed calls. That was okay. She opened up a text message and decided to text Tyler. She was really missing him and wondered how he was doing.

I love you. Sky. She scanned through her contacts, found his name, and sent the message off.

Tyler looked around a bit as he heard a buzzing noise. At first he thought it was his ears and head from his drunken stupor. Eventually he discovered it from his phone as he fumbled to grab the phone and open it. When he saw the message from Sky, his eyes misted up. Sure it was short, sweet and to the point but it helped him.

I love you too. Can we have a date tonight or tomorrow? Ty He sent her back the message before laying there trying to sober up.

OOC: So here's what I decided, I may bring in a second guy, so I can balance both girls, if that can help but I can't do that until the summer which starts for me in like 2-3 weeks.

David grinned and stood up from the bench, holding out a hand to help Sky down as he did. He wondered in the back of his head who she had text-ed but it wasn't really something he could just come out and ask her.

"See ya Woody!"

He called toward the kitchen and led the girl back out onto the street, then down the block. The well lit sidewalk was pleasant and quaint. About a block down was a little creamery. It was some where he hadn't been in a while but thought that Sky might enjoy it.

Don't judge....

Schuyler smiled and reached out for David's hand. He was rather gentlemanly, a better change than when she had first met him by far. He paid off Woody and Sky frowned, she wished she could have footed some of the bill. No matter, she'd pay for ice cream then. The pair walked along outside to an ice cream parlor close by and she smiled, though felt a vibrating from her purse. Schuyler took her cellphone out again and found Tyler's reply. A smile curved her lips and she responded.

I'll come over later tonight. Wait for me hm? XOXOXOXO Schuyler smiled and kept walking along.

.: Okie dokie lol :.

Tyler felt the vibrations in his hands from another text message coming into his phone. He opened it again and smiled widely at her message. Absolutely love, I'll wait all night for you. XOXOXOXO Tyler <3 He sent the message and smiled brightly before he started to frown a bit.

"Ah hell... I gotta sober up." He cursed as he got out of bed walked into the bathroom, a burst of sobering adrenaline kicking in as he brought the bottle and the glass to the sink downstairs, disposing of the bottle in a neighbor's trash can and hiding the glass. In his haste he started making coffee and doing exercises. Everything he knew would be useless he tried just to speed up his body's rate of recovery.
