Mai struggled and slapped Hideo but he was too close and she was bitten. She started screaming as she kept hitting Hideo.
She soon pulled out her kunai and tried to stab Hideo's gut.

Mai started to tussle but soon her body went limp. She was not dead but she might as well be because Hideo might eat her.
((You are doing this in a public place and no civilian seems to care...))

_________________________   Hideo would suddenly feel somebody grab the back of his head and wrench him off of Mai's neck. Fenrir glared down into his eyes with a glare filled with a sneering rage. With monstrous strength he slammed Hideo's face down onto the cafe table, his nails digging into his scalp so hard that it drew blood. People all over the shop screamed and ran out in panic.

A black root suddenly shot out from between Fenrir's legs aiming to his crotch, this was done so fast as the roots had already prepare itself for Fenrir in the whole village since he entered the village.
(well the defense is not just at the gates xp)

 A blood curdling roar was heard as a pale skinned boy launched at Hideo, so fast that no one would of seen it. "You mother ********> he said as he was swinging his blades so fast that not only would it decapitate Hideo if he was staying still but it would be only seen as a flash left by light.Tetsuo landed outside of the fight watching, waiting for Hideo to need his help and his blood.

Fenrir let go of Hideo to move away from Ryu's blades and the root, which coincidentally had also been trying to hit him. He didn't think much of it and looked over at the limp Mai. She had lost a lot of blood. Fenrir threw her arm over his shoulder and picked her up to quickly leave the shop while Ryu dealt with Hideo.

A root was around the girl as it would pull back Fenrir back as it wrapped more and more roots around Mai before taking her into the floor.
(the whole area is full of roots what can ya do really)

The root around Mai was suddenly chopped off and a small orange blur shot around Fenrir, clearing the way by chopping away all of the attacking roots. Likewise, Fenrir did his best to avoid spots where he could hear the roots moving about underground as he left the shop.

(Yup though roots are stronger than that come on xp)
The roots seem unscathed as the roots were not brittle really as the creature would of had hope to as the girl was now underground traveling to god knows where.
(Speed you sacrificed strength remember? lol)
