(For this post, Rhys can be orange.)
"I'm fine," Rhys said. "Let's go get 'em back!" Wow, big group. We can't lose, right? Darn right!
Ghis looked at the wound Large had received. He wasn't entirely sure what the heck caused the corruption--all he knew was that people suddenly went bonkers--but he did have a vague idea that more likely than not, unhurt people were uncorrupted people.
The fact that he didn't know about the barrier also kept him wary.
Granted, all he'd thought to bring with him was a Steel Axe. Formidable, yes, but Swordmasters like Large enjoyed nothing more than opponents with big axes. There was nothing quite like making the saying "The bigger you are, the harder you fall" come true.
"Now, wait a minute, Large," Ghis said. "That wound says ye took part in the fightin'. Ah don't know where ye've been. Ye don't know where we've been. Ye don't have to trust me, but I can show ye ah've no scars. With that scar, how do we know yer not in league with those who turned?"

(Teeny post is teeny! 8''D)
Ayra was half-tempted not to follow when Mel ran out- however, knowing who she was going after and knowing the half-baked plan they had made her nearly slap her palm against her face. The damned dragon woman didn't know what she was getting into, if she thought about taking him on in the skies. Though Melethia could fly, a hawk lived in and ruled the skies they flew in, and their King did so the best of all. No matter how angry she was, she knew she couldn't just let Melethia take on Tibarn alone- not for her sake, but to assure she didn't turn to underhanded and potentially lethal tactics if conventional means should fail in combat.
She shook off the thought of a seared off wing, and looked after the dragon for only a moment before moving back inside, her eyes flying over all of those who still remained.
Amelia looked like she was holding her own. A quick listen told her that they were going after Rei- a nice change of pace. She could go after Tibarn while they went after the shaman, but she needed someone with enough strength to make it worthwhile...
"You, Arashe, with me. We're going to make sure that dragon wench doesn't get herself killed." She grabbed Arashe by the shoulder, knowing he wouldn't dare turn down a request from someone that was seen as legendary in his eyes. She hated the shallow awe that lore now evidently inspired in this youth, and motioned to Large.
"I don't know who you are, but if you're one of us, you'll lend us your aid. Will you help us?" Narrowing her eyes at him for just a moment, Ayra then looked to Victoria and beckoned, as well.
"Melethia is gone. A rash move. If what you say about that tome is true, then come! She won't wait for us any longer."
And with that, she turned and left, trusting Victoria to follow and dragging Arashe by the sleeve.

Large paused and looked back at Ghis. "Do you not know of the wards around this mansion? The Captain told me about them once," he said, turning. "They keep anyone with ill intent from approaching the mansion. Like... like wards. Spirit of the place does it, or somethin'. Point is, if I was dark I couldn't get in, right?" He paused. It sounded far-fetched, if one didn't know it was true. "Now, can I get a drink?" He added, to Blossom, "Thanks much, but I think I'll get it or myself, eh?"
Without another word to Ghis-- but a glare, certainly a glare!-- Large turned and stepped inside, heading for the sound of the conversation. It was then that he spotted Lady Ayra and the others, and he offered a nod as he started for the sink, hoping against hope that the glasses weren't in a high cupboard.
When addressed, he looked up, then his eyes flicked to Victoria. Lady bishop... aha!
"Of course," he said, turning and offering a bow. "I am... perhaps the last surviving member of the Eyris Castle Guard. My blade to your service, Lady Ayra." She didn't know him, of course, but that didn't mean he didn't know who she was. She was a bit more of a celebrity than he.

Ed merely stared. She stared almost incredulously at the little guy all beat up, at Blossom, at that other guy... She didn't get it. She didn't get any of it. What was going on? She was hearing again about Tibarn being turned, and what kind of a name was Chickenwire!?
Forget it. Forget all of it.
Ed whipped around and walked away. She could find her sword later, or ask Blossom later, or something. Ed's head was throbbing. There was too much information to take in at once because she kept missing huge intervals of stuff. She supposed that was her fault.
But Ed had given up on trying to keep up. She knew now she just ought to focus on the fighting that would probably follow.
Ed didn't realize that there were plans, or teams, or whatever was going on. No, she silently stormed up to her room in all her obliviousness, a storm raging inside. She clenched her teeth. Need to save that for when I rip someone's throat out as a wolf. Upon finding her room, Ed walked in and quietly closed the door behind her, conserving all of her energy for bestial rage.
She approached her bed and snuck her hand beneath the pillow. She felt over the dagger that was meant for her friend on Christmas (even if it was from that dastard Siegell) and sighed. Research just isn't as good without you. And where did Valter head off to?
Ed put down her "Anatomy of the Avian" book, tossed off her spiked boots, threw her gauntlets onto the bed, slipped out of the chainmail skirt -- everything that was holding her down, restricting her. She lay down bare on the cold floor and closed her eyes. Certainly, no one would come by and bother the chimera. They were all occupied with other things.
Ed pushed out the images and sensations of a bird from her mind, replacing the wings with the swift limbs of a wolf, the feathers with bristling fur, the beak with a snarling muzzle...
She kept her eyes closed as to not be distracted by her surroundings. The magic circles and runes scrawled all around her body glowed faintly as her will was heard. Very gradually, her bones shifted, her flesh rearranged, her hair changed...very, very gradually...

Wards...?
Ghis stared after Large as he entered. Was that so? It did sound far-fetched, but nobody else seemed to distrust him... maybe the wards were right. Maybe Large HAD beaten the odds and gotten out of Eyris alive and uncorrupted. Maybe.

Blossom scurried after Large, deciding she wanted to make sure he could find everything fine. She found it a little suspicious that he made it out so neatly after such a vicious attack on Eyris -- not unscathed, but certainly less bloodied or cut than she would expect -- but decided in the end that it was just good to know that someone had lived.
"Oh, here," Blossom said. She looked up at the tall cabinet where she knew the glasses were then, without further ado, climbed onto her knees atop the counter. Her stockings were clean, and she didn't worry about flashing anyone. That was what undershorts were for. Why do people always complain about pegasus riders' skirts? They wear undershorts! Man. Blossom opened a cabinet, wobbled a little, then removed a glass and carefully set it down next to her. "There ya go, Large!" she chirped. "Glass for some water."
Amelia ran a hand through her hair. A new face had arrived, a rather short man who claimed to be a member of the Eyris Castle Guard, but she decided there were more important things to be focusing on. "Right, right," she said, adjusting her grip on her spear, shifting one foot on the wooden floorboards. She was suddenly very glad to have the armor. "Guys, let's get moving, and fast." With that, she gave a slight nod to the others and hurried out the door, armor clanking from the quick movement.

Ninian took a deep breathe to steady herself, checked to make certain her mantle/scarf was draped across her shoulders and all four rings rested safely on her fingers. With everything in place, Ninian nodded a brief farewell to Alihi before following Amelia outside, clutching her mantle/scarf.
Nils, I'm coming.

Alihi waved to the group, wishing them luck and a safe return. She then let out a small sigh and headed up to her room, where she knew she had at least one vulnerary; might as well be prepared to leave at any moment, right? She was barely aware of the others around her, and she didn't pass Amara on the way to the room. After all, the tactician needed to mentally prepare herself for the possible upcoming fight; there was no way that it was going to be easy, especially considering a certain event in her past that she will not mention.
... Damn it. Her hand closed around the small bottles of vulneraries she found, two in total. She hooked them on her belt with a small sigh. Why do I have to deal with a similar situation again? It was hard enough the first time. And now, to be forced to do it again? Damn it... Her hand bumped against the hilt of her sword as she exited the room to go... somewhere. Anywhere. She didn't really care at this point, just as long as she had time to prepare herself.
She ended up in the main room again, staring out the window.
(( Blah blah blah, Alihi thinking about how before Ryuu's death, he was berserked and she was forced to fight him, blaaaah~ ))

When Aran came back down the stairs, some of the people had already left/were leaving. He waved to them with his free hand, wishing them good luck especially since they'd need it. He also went outside, but kept near the Manor, fresh air would be good right now. He saw the Constabulary and nodded towards them.

Victoria followed Arya's lead, while waving silently back to the others. She'd be back here, she was certain of it. She'd just faced a humiliating defeat after all, she'd never have two in a row. The Hawk King. He sounded powerful, and if she knew anything about Laguz from the research she did on them, they were formidable, moreso than any 'beorc' as her race was called. It would be difficult, but at least her group had two of Tibarn's weaknessess. Along the way, she introduced herself to both the archer and swordmaster, being serious unlike her normal self. "I am Sister Victoria... of Eyris now I should say. I used to be Etrurian, but I ended up in this world during my world's war with Mad King Zephiel. I'd like to know both your names, but... you don't have to tell me if you don't want to."
All the while, Sue had long followed outside with Amelia's group to capture Rei, and maybe even Nils.

Click.
The door swung open as Ed's weight leaned against it, her paws on the doorknob. She dropped to her fours, panting slowly, panting deeply, huffing out of a lupine nose. The transformation had been successful. She was glad not to have wasted time by slipping up — most of her mistakes consisted of bald spots or disproportionate limbs.
The wolf slowly ambled out of the room, catching the door with her tail and pushing it shut. She seemed weak and groggy as she dragged her paws along the carpet, head low, torso pulsing with each breath. Normally, Ed had plenty of time to recuperate. But there was was no time at the moment. She knew she had to move fast if she wanted to catch a fight. Thus she continued to walk, despite how easily a breeze could tip the wolf over with her condition.
She padded down the hallway, huffing. Everything was so quiet. She knew that something was wrong, and she could only assume that everyone had left to do whatever. There'd been so much confusion earlier... They were definitely on some sort of mission.
Subtle ferocity flashed in the wolf's blue eyes. Black fur framed a feral glare which, despite fatigue, pierced the space which it beheld. Her strong muzzle lifted into a scowl, revealing healthy gums and ivory teeth. Her toughened paws thudded against the floor as her tail whipped the air behind her. Ed had equipped an atmosphere of tension and hunger, defying the exhaustion that she was emanating, prodding her to push forward.
Ed wasn't in the mood to play. She put her nose to the ground and slowly tracked the others, following a network of scents closely intertwined like modern wires in a cable. Ed shuffled out of the mansion, following the trail she had picked up.

(( Ahahahaaha Wow, now I'm the one that's kinda behind xDD. I had a friend sleep over so I couldn't post xP;; ))
Ephraim mearly blinked as the two were left in the hallways. Ed had gone down or down another hall with Batre and that previous bard seemed to have headed down the hall. He was with Amara now and as far as he knew, the others probably are still planning, getting ready, or have already left for battle. Ephraim was almost confident that the others could handle the situation and if they desperatly needed him, then Alihi or someone would come find him that was for sure.
He sighed and poked Amara playfully on the cheek. "Well? Shall we explore this manor together? Or would you like to go find your mother?" wondering what the little girl had in mind since she seemed bored of just standing around.

Large dashed through the woods, the book safely hidden away in his coat. He couldn't return to the castle normally; his instructions were to return by the door. With his only intent to return to Eyris, the wards around the mansion provided him little tangible resistance.
He paused as he spotted Ghis. Still there. Hm, well... he was already suspicious. If he saw Large return, he'd stop him again, and Large couldn't afford that. He dashed through the woods, rounding a tree and coming at the mansion from the side. A locked door presented no obstacle to the skilled swordmaster, who slunk inside and began to creep along a wall, searching for the stairs to the basement. Fortunately, he was heading in the right direction.
Unfortunately, right in his path was Amara and Ephraim.

Amara shrugged to Ephraim. "I'unno." She turned back and forth boredly.
But then, she spotted the swordmaster and gasped softly, staring at him with rather wide eyes. The little girl was shocked by his sudden appearance. He looked... tired and worn out, like he was in a fight or something. And obviously, he was looking for something. What his purpose was, she had no clue.
She took a few curious steps towards the man.

Before Ephraim and Amara could even move, an unknown person had suddenly approached in front of him. The noble paused for a few moment until he noticed the man stagger back a bit, Ephraim got even more suspicious as he realized there was definlently something wrong with this person's behavior. He noticed a flicker in his arm and immediatly, pulled Amara behind him.
"Who are you?" The noble questioned, noticing something was very wrong just by the way he appeared. His tone dropped and the kind face he had earlier soon turned into a serious look to defend the little girl that was with him. "Amara.." he whispered so that only she could hear "If it starts to get dangerous...run to your mother.." Ephraim didn't have his spear, all he had was a knife which he didn't use much to attack and only used it to skin animals.
He backed up, keeping Amara shielded behind his cloak, still keeping the glare he had on his face. Sense told him that he would have to run after this man either way if he didn't give a fair answer or decided to run.
(( if this seems god moddy please tell me, I was just trying to kick in Ephraim's Warrior senses ))
