"Diz you must have gathered that this is not how a normal mind should look. Your mind is dark because of the way you have lived your life for the past few years but, there is still light in one place and recently the light has grown freeing the parts of your mind that you imprisoned." He told Diz walking around him. "A mind cannot live in darkness forever and in it's current state yours will not last much longer. You need to free your mind from the darkness and save your mind before it is too late. It has already begun..."
The ground rumbled under Diz' feet and he almost lost his balance. "Urgh! Dammit, how long do I have?" Diz asked as the ground finished shaking, he already knew it wasn't very long. "And how do I fix this place?" he added now feeling the rising panic of the predicament he was in.
"I can't say how long but time is short. I suggest finding that light and begin helping the others there." He replied to Diz and pointing into the darkness. "Don't think of it as saving yourself, more of helping others to help yourself. That is all I can do for you. Our fate is in your hands, now go!"
Diz went to ask the man something but as he tried the man faded into nothingness and dissappeared. "Great, just bloody great!" He complained to himself as he set off in the direction he was pointed in.

Dazeray jumped off Kimo when they landed. She looked up to see Diz laying limp on the ground and covered in blood. A girl with long black hair was kneeling beside him with a determined expression. "DIZ!" Dazeray screamed, running towards him. Dazeray fell to her knees, covering her own clothes in blood. "Diz! Talk to me! Tell me you are ok!" Dazeray cupped the side of his face in her hand. "He has been out for only a few minutes. His kidney was pierced with a huge piece of glass." Dazeray shook her head, trying to keep from believing it. "Diz! Please stay with me. Don't die on me, Diz! I can't handle you dying on me. Please, hang on."

"do you have any healing power?" atlanta asked, realizing with a start that dazeray did not remember her. "if not the best thing you can do is send your little-" atlanta wrinkles her nose in distaste"pet here for help. write a note or something saying to follow it back here." she looks at dazeray for a moment, hoping for her sake that diz made it out, even though it wasnt looking good. she herself had nearly died when she was turned vamp, and figured if he was anywhere near as hard headed as he seemed, he had a a better chance than most. she stared at him intently, trying to read into him enough to see if he had any flare of awareness. seeing nothing she sighed and returned to trying to heal the kidney

Diz had no idea what he was about to witness as he finally saw a glimmer of light in the distance, through the darkness he could barely see more then ten feet in front of him. He picked up his pace to a gentle jog heading directly for the center of the light in the distance. Suddenly he stopped as a body flew down crashing in front of him. "What the hell?" He exclaimed as he examined the crumpled and broken body in his path. "Another me? Maybe they all look like me, it would make sense as it is my mind." He mumbled to himself as he checked the body for a pulse or a heartbeat anything to signal that they were still alive but there was nothing. Diz stood up stepping over the body and continued towards the light area. Along the way a few more bodies all looking exactly like Diz had crashed down by his feet, but it didn't deter him from his objective as he got closer and closer.
Finally he reached the light though something wasn't right as he stepped into it the area was quiet and the landscape was like an opening of lush grass next to a forrest, it was amazing. He wandered through the grass looking around for these others that he had been told to help, as he moved through the center of the grassy meadow like opening he could hear something it sounded very much like an explosion. Quickly he headed towards the noise only stopping when he saw the horror he was now going to have to face. BOOM! Another explosion, limbs and bodies flew up into the air. He had walked right into the middle of a warzone, as the two sides clashed in a desperate fight for dominance Diz could easily distinguise the diffrence between the two sides. One side were dressed as he himself was but their hair colour was pitch black like their clothes, while the other side had light blonde hair like his and their clothes were bright white though they were the same design as his own too.
He watched as the two clashing sides brutally fought against one another and it was plainly obvious the side wearing white didn't have the strength or fighting skill the other side had. Which side am I supposed to be helping? He wondered as he saw the two sides seperate to their respective sides as two champions one from each side moved through both armies heading towards the central battlefeild.

At the bar, Adeodatus found some new 'gang members' to 'requruit'. He lured the men into another on of his garages and froze them. He prepared one of his devices to make a new 'gang memeber.'

Dazeray ran her hand through his bloody, matted hair. She wiped the blood off his face with his handkerchief. As she looked at it, she realized that it was the same one that he had used the day before to wipe dirt off her cheek. Dazeray felt the tears drop and land on his limp body. She brushed them away. I have to be strong. That is what he would want. Dazeray sighed shakily. "-pet for help. Write a note or something saying to follow it back here." Dazeray hadn't heard any of the first part of the girl's statement. Dazeray was too focused on him. Kimo whimpered and sat on his haunches beside his mistress and Diz. His huge tongue flicked out to lick Diz's cheek. C'mon. You can pull through this. If not for yourself do it for Dazeray. Kimo stared at Diz's relaxed face, it was the expression of one that had been released. "Can you do something? I know you are a vampire, my cat has told me. I'm an Ardeo. The winged species with supernatural abilitys. We are born from humans, we are rare. I can't do anything for him, but you can. Can't you bite him or something? Anything at all...?" Dazeray didn't wait for the girl's reply. Instead she let out a sharp whistle. 20 rats raced out from the shadows and halted in front of Dazeray. They leaned backward to a sitting position. They looked like a small army lined up for their general's command. "I want all of you to go scout the area for some one named Valis," Dazeray picked up a knife from the ground, it looked like a butterfly knife, "This is his scent. Search around for any leads." The rats jerked their tiny heads in a syncronized nod. All 20 took off running in different directions.

Diz moved up to the battlefield watching as the two armies champions circled each other, another rumble errupted from the ground like an earthquake. The two armies watched as Diz moved in closer to get a better look, he examined both champions as they circled preparing to fight to the death. They were diffrent then the others here both wore suits of chainmail battle armour one white and one red. Both were diffrent hights then the others the one in red was taller and the one in white was slightly smaller but both were very powerful. Diz watched as the battle begun the two warriors charging each other with their swords in hand, the skill these two had was easily enough to rival his own.
The battle had been feirce and both champions were tiring each trying to beat the other into submission with their mightiest blows. With a lucky hit The red armoured champion had knocked the other off their feet and swung the sword for a killing blow which was quickly parried by the other. Diz couldn't watch any longer he moved in to intervene and stop this before his mind crumbled around him. "I'm ordering you both to stop this now!" Diz shouted as he stepped between the two, both armies gasped in unison as they noticed Diz there. "Now remove your helmets so I can atleast see who I'm talking to." Diz commanded to them both, the champions looked at each other then back at Diz before slowly removing their helmets.
"So, now what? If this conflict isn't resolved soon your mind will tear itself apart." The red armoured man said as he pulled his helmet off and Diz knew this voice all too well. It was Valis or atleast an imitation of him. "You have to choose a side Diz mine or hers. This is your last chance to prove yourself as one of us or one of them."
Removing her helmet the white champion who was the imitation of Dazeray stepped forward. "As much as I don't like this animal, he is right. You have to pick a side now. There's no time left, you must feel it! Your mind is breaking and it won't last much longer."
"It's time to choose you will fight one of us in a last effort to save your mind pick your side." Valis said in that worryingly calm voice.
Diz looked at both of the armies and then both champions. "I have made my decision." Diz said as both champions looked at him with anticipation. "I am siding with her." Diz pointed towards the Dazeray imitation.
"Unwise Diz, most... Unwise!" Valis said to him pulling his sword from the ground and readying himself for battle.
"You picked the right side Diz, here use my blade." Dazeray said to him handing over her sword. "Remember, try to end it quickly. Now that you have chosen a side he will try to drag the battle on until your mind destroys itself." She warned him. "Good luck." Dazery backed away to her army and watched as Diz prepared to fight.

Dazeray layed her head on Diz's chest. His heart was beating faintly. She sighed and closed her eyes, the sobs had finally ceased. She didn't even seem to notice or even care that she was covered in his blood. Dazeray fell into a light sleep, the sound of his faint heart beating in a rythmic lullaby.
"I have to go, Dazeray. The doctor said that he will take all the pain away with a special machine. He said I'm going to go home. I asked him if I could say bye to you first, though. He said I wouldn't think of you for a long, long time." The little girl buried her tear-streaked face in the boy's chest. "You're leaving me, Diz?" "No, I'm just leaving the clinic. Don't worry, I'll come back for you someday." "...someday? You promise?" The boy nodded, hugging her close. "Don't forget me, Diz. Never forget..."

Dazeray's mind wandered through images, fuzzy memories, and even a few confused flashbacks. Dazeray woke with a jolt. The sound of Diz's breathing was back, but it was laboured as if he was fighting something inside. "Kimo, go get me a wet rag or paper towel. I bet there is a bathroom in the hotel that you can break into easily." Kimo nodded his colossal head and took off. A few minutes later, he came back with a wet rag in his mouth. He dropped it on Dazeray's lap. "Oh, good! It is cold." Dazeray snatched it up and dabbed it across Diz's forehead. She wiped his face with it too, hoping to cool his beaded skin.

Diz raised the sword in one hand and looked at the Valis imitation. He's not likely to as strong as the real one but I should probably watch myself anyway. Diz thought to himself as he parried a thrust aimed at his chest then swung the sword at his opponents throat and missing. Quickly recovering Diz swung another slash at Valis, this time Valis simply parried and sidestepped then sliced Diz across his free arm. Argh! How could I be so careless? He scoulded himself in his thoughts, blood flowed from the wound and dribbled down his arm. Valis merely smiled at him, that same smile he had on his face when he left the hotel room. It boiled Diz' blood and he used that anger to throw strike after strike at his opponent finally getting of a nice hit across Valis' face, Diz returned the same grin Valis had given him. Both men charged each other swords clashing once again, the ground had become unstable and parts of it had fallen away. Diz raised a foot kicking Valis in the gut then swinging his sword again, Valis now barely able to block the attack stubled backwards and regained his balance quickly. Diz swung again and again if in some sort of berserk rage and Valis was finding it more and more difficult to stop each attack, that's when it happened one slight moment Diz had let his guard down and Valis had capitalized on it stabbing his sword through diz' shoulder just above his heart. Diz fell to the ground on his knees in shock staring at the wound and the blade still through him. Valis rose his arms in triumph and Diz thrust his sword through Valis' lower back and out through his chest. "I don't intent on dying today my friend." Diz said to Valis as he fell to the ground. Diz pulled the sword from his chest and fell to his back.
"Diz, you did it." Dazeray said her voice sounding miles away. "You have freed us." She lifted him and walked him over to a tree and proped him against it.

Dazeray stared at Diz's face. There had obviously been a change. His breathing had gone from laboured to hoarse. It was an improvement, though, and Dazeray couldn't help but feel a tiny bit relieved. At least he is breathing... she sighed. Yes, that is an improvement. Kimo agreed and nuzzled Diz's hand. Dazeray had barely payed any notice to the mysterious vampire girl across from her. I'll be sure to thank her after this is over. she noted.

"Well that worked out nicely. Diz you've won already, why are you still here?" Came that voice, his voice infact, as Diz looked up he saw himself standing there. It was the same on from when he first got there. "Is there something else you would like?"
Diz grunted slightly as he moved. "Sort of. Why can't I remember her from before?" Diz asked looking at the Dazeray imitation. "You said this was your domain so, you should know why right?" Diz continued as he turned his head back to face the other him.
"Diz, I'm afraid you may never have those memories back. I guess you could say they were stolen or erased but however you decide to put it the fact is they are gone and I don't know where." He replied grabbing Diz' hand and lifting him to his feet. "Your work here is done. Go now."
"Hmph!" was the only reply he could muster before feeling the ground falling away from him. "Take care guys." He called out as the two figures became nothing more then specs on a huge green plateu.

Diz's face tensed. Dazeray jolted, a sharp feeling of concern pierced through her. "Diz? Diz, can you hear me? If you can hear me squeeze my hand." she said, laying her small hand in his. Kimo's ears perked up.
