Pietro's form seemed to obscure in and out of existance, directly corresponding to the dozens of bumper cars that broke down when they came at all within Ana and Sasha's car. He couldn't have his girl getting concussion, after all.
After the bumper car ride ended... and three carnies were left crying at the destruction that had been wrecked upon their precious ride... the merry mutant family along with whoever else hadn't gone back to the mansion rode on the merry-go-round. It was fairly without incident, safe for the large amount of cotton candy Ana was fed. In fact, she was practically swimming in it by the time they were done.
Finally, all that was there to be done with the carnival was done. And by done, that meant that all the corndogs and candy apples were consumed. Pietro held Ana as the party walked back toward the mansion, both of them giggling psychotically as the sugar coarsed through their veins. Sasha, meanwhile, held her head in shame.

After a hurried shower and throwing on something decent to wear she was downstairs sitting in the sitting room. She looked at her watch and waited nervously for her uncle to show. He would be here for a few days but she really wanted to be here when he arrived to tell her that he was here finally.
Cathy debated throwing open Penny's door but shrugged and went downstairs to get ready for dinner. "Woohooo...no easy-mac tonight!" She said cheerfully as she combed her hair.

Raze was probably one of the few people who wouldn't have any family attending the gathering. With his mum in a coma, and his father deceased, one would wonder how he managed to keep up his cheery exterior. Well, that was Raze's way of dealing with things. His outlook was that you could deal with the world in one of two ways: You could completely shut down, and become so incredibly depressed about everything, or you could find the lighter side to things. Raze, of course, preferred the latter.
Dressed in his really nice vest, with a black shirt underneath, he strolled down the stairs into the sitting room, where he saw Racheal waiting, looking extremely nervous about something. "Penny for your thoughts?" he said, sitting down next to her.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Morgan, on the other hand, had invited his parents. They would be arriving shortly, he hoped. It had been a while since he'd seen them, and he wondered if they'd recognize him with how much he'd changed. He was dressed in a rather nice tuxedo, something he hadn't had an excuse to wear since the prom more than a year ago. Unfortunately, any fun he'd hoped to have at that occasion was ruined, as that was the same day that Ahab attacked. It seemed that everytime he was at some sort of large gathering, something would happen to ruin it. He sincerely hoped that it wouldn't happen this time.

Penance stretched and looked over at Jacen's clock. It was about that time, time to get out of bed. Looking at her hand, she was satisfied that it had healed just fine. There was no pain left from the fight earlier. She hoped McCoy gave Jacen some pain medication so he could say the same.
Rolling over, she nudged him a bit, "Hey, I'm going to go get changed. My sisters will probably be showing up soon. Can't go to dinner in pajamas."
"Yes, you can," He smiled and rolled over onto his side.
Penance laughed, "Well, okay, it wouldn't be appropriate for me to."
After kissing him, she got out of bed and left his room to her own. Eventually she would get her stuff out of it. things have just been busy. Finding a semi-decent sweater out of her drawer, she put it on with a pair of kakhis. Feeling too clothed, she felt she was ready to go wait for her siblings. She was pretty sure they'd be arriving by taxi since there was no way in hell her step-mother would drive them to the Institute.
It had been over a year since she had seen Dawn and Avril. Penance couldn't wait to see the girls again. Peeking into the kitchen, she saw that Regina was cooking up something, "Reg, that's you... whatever the hell that is, save me some of it. My tastebuds have been watering since halfway up the stairs."

Rachael looked up at Raze. "My uncle is coming..." She figeted nervously in the dress she had on. "I invited my parents....but they had yet to respond..." Her tone indicated that it was expected of them to not show. "How about you? Waiting for anyone to show up?"
Cathy was decked out in a sleek black coctail dress. She had pearls on her ears and a pearl necklass on her hair was done up nicely and she had applied makeup. As opposed to the almost careless way she usually dressed. Looking in the mirror. "Damn, I clean up nice...." She said smilling as she walked downstairs. Spotting Raze and Rachael talking she looked around the room and spotted Morgan. A smile spread across her face and she walked over to him. "My, don't we just clean up nice..." Morgan was her new best friend...and she was sure it thrilled him to no end.

Dr. McCoy had built a new robotic arm for Tetsuo. One much like his old one, but this one had alternate armor plates that were painted Matte-black, for stealth. It was placed on a table beside Tetsuo, outfitted with the normal dull grey armor, much like the old one. It had been built to the same dimensions as his left arm, to make it easier to hide beneath clothes, and also built to take more of a beating than the old one, wich was probably a good idea.
Tetsuo had since woken up. Sitting there examining the matte-black alternate armor. He scratched at the paint with a fingernail, to make sure it wouldent simply flake off. He then looked over to the blue mutant, who was hooking up wires to his empty shoulder socket and running tests on the power that supplied the arm. "Are you done yet?" He asked, listening to the blue mutant humm to himself.
"Oh, yes, just a moment" Said Dr. McCoy, moving over to the replacement limb. He slid the small table over to Tetsuo, lining up the arm with the shoulder socket. He put it in place, making sure everything lined up. "Ok, now to lock it in place...ready...three...two...one." He said, quickly turning a small lever and pulling it out to lock the arm into the socket.
In that split second, all of Tetsuo's nerves conected to the arm...sending a very, very sharp pain through his entire body..."AAAHHHHUUGH!!!" He screamed, his voice echoing throughout the halls. He resisted grabbing his right shoulder, tighening his fingers around the arm-rest of the chair he was sitting in. Few people would ever experience a pain that intense and react so mildly.

The night was short. Too short. His body was wracked with pain and Jacen didn't really get up and moving until about twenty minutes after Penance had left his room. When he did actually decide to get clothed it took him roughly ten minutes to even get his black COBHC shirt on, that's without mention of trying to get pants on. When he looked at the mirror, he noticed he had a somewhat severe case of bedhead, but he cured that by throwing a black knitted beanie on, and stepped out of his room. The one downfall of living in the student's area; having to contend with shower times. Maybe that would be one reason to actually take Scott up on his offer to move his room.
A few of the others saw Jacen's casted up arm and looked a bit shocked, but he just laughed it off. There was no use worrying about him being down a wheel. Kitty looked concered, but he knew that it was well-placed. She had taken a shine to him, and they actually became somewhat good friends, despite polar opposites in demeanor. That just reiterated the point that he did have family here at the institute.
"You alright? You don't look well," she said as she walked next to him.
"I'll live. Don't worry."
"But your face...."
"It's slight bruising. I'll live, Kitty," Jacen snapped. Before he knew it they were at the stairs and it seemed like people were actually gathering below in the foyer. Logan sat there, puffing away on a cigar before he looked up and saw Jacen all beaten up.
"Heh...I take it you talked to your sweetheart?," he asked with a chuckle.
"......I don't really think there was conversation involved, honestly."
"I can tell. She busted you up good."
"Wouldn't expect anything less......," Jacen said trailing off, "So, there's going to be a ton of people here."
"They're already filin' in," Logan said pinching off his cigar, "Too many different scents, and they're irritatin' me. Find me when the grub is on." And indeed there were alot of people filing in. Lots that Jacen had never seen before. He could only imagine that these people were family members of some of the younger students, or even of some of the older residents. Kitty had taken off to go find someone else to pester, which left Jacen sitting in the foyer by himself. But of course, that serenity was trashed when Scott came into view.
"Jacen. We need to make sure that some of our areas that are off-limits stay just as that," he said.
"That's probably the best idea I've ever heard from you," Jacen remarked as he stood up gingerly, "Besides, I was thinking about that myself. Just use the standard locking procedures?"
"Of course," Scott said as he went off to meet and greet some of the various people entering the doors. And Jacen did just that. He turned on his heel, and started to do a basic check of all access channels that led to the basement. The less alot of these people knew, the better.

As Jacen wandering through the corridors of cold blue steel that made up the maze like basement checking to make sure everything was secure... He could sworn that he heard the soft gentle sounds of someone singing. This drew his curiosity... How could some possible down in the basement without some saying about before he went on patrol.... and who could get past everyone in the mansion without notice.
Following the sound, it went deeper and deeper into the structure of the basement. It was a voice he didn't regonize, it was of very soft quality... but it was beautiful like nothing he had ever heard before.
At the very end of a long corridor the source of the "voice" was discovered... well kind of. The voice could be heard perfectly, but the only signs of a presences was a long piece of cloth laid with all kinds tools, some Jacen regonized and many he didn't. Another sign was an open panel in the seemingly seamless ceiling.
One would believe anyone would be baffled to no end until all of a sudden the singing stoped and a young girl's head popped out from the open ceiling pannel hanging upside-down. Her long braid hung only a feet from the ground because of it's surprising length.
Kylia noticed Jacen and smiled at him innocently with a cheerful sparkle in her eyes. "Ah, good evening Sir! I hate to be a bother to you but could you be so kind and hand me the small tool that looks like a pen light please?" Still a bit confused by her sudden Jacen complied with her request without arguement. "Thank you very much Sir!" She said if a happy little peep and disappeared back into the ceiling. Sounds of metal being melted and cut, and quick plusing flash of a laser went to work for a little before the shel popped her head back out again. "Oh my goodness where are my manners! I haven't introduced myself..." With that the Kylia flipped herself down from the panel and landed graceful on the floor below. She curtsied to Jacen and smiled. "I am please to meet you. I am Kylia Mavrick and I am a family friend of the Professor's. I am here by he's request to reroute and reconfigure some of the wiring in the danger rooms' simlations system. It is quite unfortunate, but it seem it has been acting up since the last simulation was run."

A black Ford pulled into the schools public parking area. Stepping out was a tall middle aged gentalman with black hair and peircing eyes. He eyed the building criticly as he made his way inside. Once in he looked around looking for someone.

"No. I've got no one to invite," Raze said, his tone noticably subdued. While he may have treated most things by looking at the bright side, it still hurt when he though about his parents. "You look pretty nervous for just an uncle," he said, turning to Rachael.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Morgan almost did a double take as Cathy walked up to him. She looked so different than she had at the carnival. He was silent for a moment, before speaking up. "You look stunning," he said, smiling slightly.
Okay, now someone really has a crush.
Quiet you.

Rachael felt bad for him. She got up and hugged him. "Thats ok...I didn't mean to bring that up." She said feeling a little bad for making him sad. "You can hang out with me and my uncle..." She nodded. "He practicly raised me...after the whole mess with my parents divorce..." She frowned slightly. "It was just a mess...he was the only person who really cared for me." She spotted a familiar shape walking in. "Oh...he's here!! How do I look!" She said paniky.
She smiled and did a turn for him. "Why thank you. You look quiet dashing yourself." She said looking him up and down. "What's this? A genuine smile?! For me?!" She giggled and hugged him teasingly.

"You look perfect," Raze replied, smiling. "So, let's go meet him," he said, getting up and extending his hand to Rachael.

"Shall we head downstairs? I believe my parents will be arriving shortly, and I would like to be able to meet them when they arrive," he said, hooking his arm with Cathy's.

"Ok....thanks...." She said as he took her arm. She forced herself not to run at him. The man smiled upon spotting her sort of tuning out Scotts greeting. "Uncle Jessie!" She said letting Raze go to hug him.
The man mumbled something to Scott and looked at Rachael. "Hey mouse..." He said hugging her. His eyes turned to Raze. He had that sort of protective look as he sized Raze up. "How have things been here Rachael." He asked her.
"Oh, sorry...Uncle, this is my friend Raze." She said with a smile. "Raze, this is my Uncle Jessie." She said as her uncle extended his hand a freindly smile on his face.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Why I would be delighted to." She said accepting his arm and starting downstairs.

Penance's sisters were probably the first thing in life that kept her ticking. The few times she got to see them a year were always some of the best days of the year in general. Dawn had a penchant for mischeif and Avril was so innocently sweet. They were both a high contrast to Penance herself, or at least what Penance had been.
"Have you been taking good care of your sister?" Penance hugged Dawn and led her into the Institute amidst the foray of visitors that lined the foyer. Penance somewhat hoped Xavier security was actually on. This had the itchings of potential disaster.
"Where's Jacen?" Avril asked as Penance took their coats to the coat room and led them out of the huge mix of people.
"What am I, chopped liver?" Penance arched her eyebrow with a smile. Dawn nudged her sister, "I think she has a crush on him."
Penance chuckled a bit at the cuteness of it and poked her head into the kitchen again to see Regina, "Hey, Regina, I'm going to take these two over to the hall. I'll save a spot for you and Porter if he's sitting with the students."

"Hello, sir! As you niece explained, I'm Raze. It's very nice to meet you," Raze said, taking her uncle's hand in a firm handshake. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After exchanging a few greetings with Scott, Morgan's mother and father stepped fully into the entryway, and looked around for their son. They were not waiting long, as Morgan soon walked in to the entry way, his arm linked with Cathy's. "Morgan! Is that you?! Wow, you've really grown!" his father exclaimed, looking his over. "Morgan! We've missed you!" his mum added, giving him a kiss on each cheek.
"Hello mum, hello dad. How was your trip?" Morgan asked.
"Everything went off without a hitch," his father replied. "Oh, and who is this young lady?" he said, turning to Cathy. "This is Cathy," Morgan said, introducing her.
