"That was the idea. There's not so many secrets and private interests anymore which makes things better for all of our people and not just our own personal kingdoms. Or what used to be our own personal kingdoms." She waited for him to set her back down on the ground and then quirked an eyebrow. "I didn't realize people were that convinced. Maybe I should make an official announcement that I'm not."
"It works for little ones so I could hope." Frowning as bonds went off, she quieted for a moment and had to physically quell the fight response that had risen up. Vale was an adult and he would be fine. It wasn't going to do her any good to keep saving him everytime he needed it. "Tomorrow, I promise. You've only been down for three days, Ty. It's not like it's been a month and I've kept you pretty well entertained, haven't I?"

He was just starting to move into motion when that sudden feeling struck him and made him plop down in the seat opposite the other at the table, blinking a few times as he felt himself slipping. Ow...what the hell was that? Pain was a good answer but he focused his eyes on the other as he gripped at his chest lightly. Don't pass out Vale. Don't pass...out...
"Well, you're tired and you're eating different and acting different. It's plausible to assume you are. Even we did but we checked. They can think what they want to think. Unless you're really that upset about it then we can make an annoucement so people will stop bothering you. Or we can get rid of your stress and people will realize it was just that."
"Yes you have. I'm just so used to the flurry of papers and the rounds and the uniform and so on and so forth. You know it's particularly hard for me to stay still and the like unless I've chosen to."

He waited patiently while the elf slumped in his chair, his hands folding lightly.
"I think your estimation of trouble was a little off, don't you? But, since I'm sure that'll attract attention, we should probably be leaving, wouldn't you agree?"
getting up and moving over to Vale, placing his hand on his shoulder, before the two of them were simply gone. this time he did teleport with his new friend. And where did they go? underground...or more accurately, just inside the Vrist outpost, with Vale in a holding cell and his new friend watching him from a chair.
other elves seemed to ignore them both..but never question or got in the way of the pale elf that they probably normally would have gutted on sight.
"When you are ready, we'll begin talking about things. things I want to know."

Tracing the path was almost damn near impossible but she managed to do it just before the trail disappeared entirely. She hit the floor in between the chair and the cell, crouched and wincing at the hard floor beneath her feet. "What precisely do you think you're doing with him?"
"Clearly others think they know better than we do." Shaking her head about that and hiding a yawn behind her hand. "Are thinks you need to take me to the beach for a day of relaxation and enjoyment in the sun. She thinks that will work wonders for my stress."
"And it only got worse after the twins were born." He'd been such a flurry of activity then and while she was pregnant, too. "I can run up to the office and get you something to do if you're really going crazy, Ty." Getting up to check on the babies as they made noise and shifted and such.

Galesen walked with Isle and Nillrik into the mine the older elf took a pause and looked around. He liked being in the mine, under the earth working to find something precious, it was a little cramped and such but it was worth it to be down there. But when one of the workers started to show Nillrik around the mine Galesen of course followed, he had taken the tour a long time ago and was already scanning for a spot to dig in, in the literal sense of course. When Galesen saw other workers he gave a nod of hello, the people down in the mine were busy and didn't chat too often, but they were friendly which was good. "I wonder where I should start picking at." Galesen mumbled, there seemed to be some spots open, but anyone could just pick a spot and dig, and mostly luck came into play when it came to striking something valuable. A look to Nillrik though and he smiled. "Glad to see he is having a grand time."

He hated magical lightning...it was useless for killing anyone but perfect for stopping them and getting the better of them. Though the first thing he noticed...was the smell. The smell of the Depths and all that came with it. Then he recognized he was out the outpost and old fears crept up on him. Despite all the change above ground....Mahlari had been quite resistant. Rather than risk a war from dethroning her, they let her think she was winning...and her daughter was the one playing a hand in new things, though the girl was too young to wield power on her own. Vale got himself back together, quickly as he could and got himself up. "And what are you going to do if I don't tell you anything? Kill me? Not the best way to ask for things you want. You could try and please."
"That sounds like a subtle hint. I suppose she gets to be right then. Shall I take you today or would you rather go tomorrow and sun up and spent till sun down there?"
"I'm just a busy body. I can't help myself." Shrugging and giving her a roll of his eyes but a smile none the less. "Now you know five minutes into it you'd think I was thinking too hard on something and stop me. How about we go sit out on the balcony for a while." One old and favored activity for them.
"Yes he is. I thought you were going to dig with all the other boys. Better get to it before there's no shiny things left for you." As for her, this was just a watching trip for her.

Galesen blinked once and raised an eyebrow at Isle. "You want to get rid of me that quickly huh?" Striking a pose as if he was insulted, but really he wasn't. "Fine then if that's the way things are gonna be I'll go." He pressed a kiss to her cheek then went down a tunnel, he would allow his gut feeling to pick a spot for him, hopefully he would fine a diamond or something.

he glanced at the woman. clever girl. before back to the male.
"anything I chose to. If you'd like to watch and take notes, feel free. but don't get in the way."
getting himself up and walking toward the cell with a smirk, before his color went from pale to black, hair from blond to bone white. that'll help him blend a bit more if others could see past his glamor.
"Kill you? why would I kill you. there are fates far, far worse then death, my dear elf. even for your ling lived kind. And I know a great many of them. like for example. even flimsy bonds between mother and son for your kind, if severed can cause a great deal of mental and physical pain and stress. Or how about a wasting disease. you'll live through that far longer then mortal man does, and the isolation it'll force will probably rot your mind if the disease doesn't first."
calmly watching a moment.
"Now. I want to know everything you know about this 'master rune mage' that runs the 'brigade' and I want to know where all the other master rune mages are to your knowledge. who are the ruling council, and where are they. lets start with those simple things and work from there."

She wasn't too pleased with that answer and frowned then decided to stand aside and pay attention to just what he wanted to know. She'd be reporting such things back to Master Tyyrael for sure.
"Tomorrow, Nyc. I'm too tired today." Leaning against him, she reached over and squeezed Are's hand. "Take care of yourself, my friend. I wish I could visit longer but I'm just not feeling up to it." She hadn't been feeling up to much here lately.
Lhia nodded and slid off his lap then took his arm and headed out to the balcony off their room, settling into the double rocking bench they had out there. "What do you make of the stranger who forced open the portal, Ty? Are you concerned at all?"

"No, I'm just saying you came along for a point didn't you? Waste too much time and well you go home empy handed." Settling herself down in a spot that had an excellent view in a sense of the word. Let the boys pick and play as they wanted.
He scoffed and turned his back on the other. "Threaten all you want, I'm not going to tell you anything just because you're doing it. You would have been better off trying to be a spy and blending in than doing it this way. Bad form on your part."
"Thanks for dropping by Are. Make sure to do it more often but for now, she needs her rest." Scooping her up then and taking her inside so she could start destressing and so he could hand off things to others so he could clear his schedule.
"Of course I am, but there's not too much I can do about it right now what with not being able to get up and actively chase after people that pop up. I'm trying to behave myself and no one is making it easy."

"you want to test me? fine."
he motioned with his hand at the floor, and a green gas formed and bubbled. filling the cell easily enough..giving plenty of time for Vale to have to breathe. and placing his arms behind his back.
"In about twenty minutes, when the siezures and the severe pain starts, you'll regret that comment I think. While I have time to spend spying, anyone with any intelligence will learn as much about me as I would them. and that I don't want."

"You're not going to make me reverie right now, are you, Nyc?" Because that sounded like that's where he was going with this 'needs her rest.' "You just got home and I'm really not tired. I mean I feel worn out but I don't think I could reverie right now and I missed you."
"Yes, I know. Things always go wrong when the father figure is out of commission." Giving a chuckle to that and petting through his hair some. "Vale reports to me in the morning so I'll find out more from him. He'll handle Skylar and in the meantime, you Master Ty, get to sit here and keep me company while we keep you from doing what you aren't supposed to. Alright?"
She saw it, registered it, and decided to wait. Vale could handle noxious gases. They were trained for this kind of thing in Brigade.

A glance back at the stoic one, and a slight curl of his lips in what might have been either a sneer or a smile.
"And don't think that you're learning anything I feel is important about me."
before turning his attention to Vale.
"I can cause you such pain, that you wouldn't believe that you could survive it. I'll make even your skin freeze, your blood run cold. when you get a taste of what I can really do to you, if you continue to refuse to cooperate."

Unwrapping one of the bands of copper colored cloth from around his arm, he drapped it over his nose and mouth, tying the back ends behind his ears and tucking the bottom into his high collared tunic. It would by no means stop the inevitable but it would slow and diminish the effects. "Me testing you...I think you're the one testing me. Do your worst, you don't scare me. You think I'll betray all the things important to me and everyone else? Think better of that."
"Alright, you don't have to reverie but you're at least not going to be romping around and such things. We'll sit quietly together and just relax. I can't have you getting sick on me because then we're both out of luck for all things fun."
"They like to goof off when they know I'm not around to rap them across the knuckles." He knew a part of her enjoyed his 'misery' of the moment. Admittedly he did too, though he'd never completely fess up to that out loud. "Can I at least cook dinner tonight?"

"I don't scare you. How quaint. but everyone, man, elf, or otherwise, has a breaking point. a weakness. I noticed your eyes when you first found yourself here. bad memories, I'm sure. perhaps I should reintroduce you to some."
Taking a glance around.
"Let me think. if I know anything about your kind...it's that those in power like to stay in power by means of violent behavior. How about we find one of them. and let them do to you what they would. especially if I make sure they are blameless for what happens to you. after all, I've nothing to fear here..and your allies aren't going to find me even if they can find you. I'm sure they'd love to sink thier teeth into you and have a willing scapegoat."
