Katsuko sank to the ground behind a tall hedge with a sigh. *ugh.... those troublesome maids! this is all Hitoshi's fault. I can't believe he dragged me into all this. I don't want to be here.* she thought glumly.

Garret stopped in place. *Why am I stopping?* Garret suddenly turned around and walked to Katsuko. *Why am I going back? I don't want to but at the same time I do....what's wrong with me?* he thought.

Katsuko glanced up again as Garret reappeared. then she heard voices and shrunk lower. *crap, please don't find me.*

Katsuko grabbed his sleeve and pulled him down. "If you just keep on standing there looking down at me then they will find me." she whispered.

Katsuko sighed in relief when the shouts became distant. she turned to look at Garret. "so, did you want something?" she asked, still keeping her voice low but not quite whispering.
