I'm referring to the witching, voodoo world of reading the future. Olivia is a reanimated corpse with the power to summon forth the soulless dead to do her bidding. If she performs a seance, she can even call a ghost from beyond its resting place (though it has to be in total rest, so conscious ghosts like Yuyuko would not be affected). It is unclear how she herself came to be resurrected, but she doesn't care. She only has one goal - eventually overthrowing the living and making it a Dead Man's world. In Festival on Aurora Eve, she catches the heroine snooping around the cemetery she calls home, and decides to try her hand at frightening them. When that doesn't work, she decides to demonstrate the power of the dead to the jaded, unimpressed heroine.

Chouko is an adorable, lovable, butterfly youkai living in the Sunflower Field. She loves to make others happy, and to take care of flowers. Chouko is an underling of Yuka Kazami, the master of the Sunflower Mound, and delights in making Yuka happy. In Festival on Aurora Eve, after Yuka departs for the festival, Chouko is left to mind over the field. The heroine appears and decides to take advantage of Yuka's absence, thinking that some sunflowers would be great for the festival. Chouko stops them and requests that they please not touch the flowers. When the heroine refuses, Chouko starts shooting. Later, she cries to Yuka about how she was beat up, prompting a beating for the heroine (much to the delight of Ayame, having predicted it).

Hitomi is a centipede youkai, and is known as the "Ruthless Carnivore". She has the unique ability to continually increase her own power by eating other people. Given her substantial power level, and her regarding the heroine as "Just another meal", it's safe to say she has been eating people, Youkai and human, for a long time. In Festival on Aurora Eve, she was meandering away the time in her home, the field of Lillies, when the heroine happened across her. Seeing another potential meal, she wasted no time in trying to eat them. A special note: The Dionaesil on her cosplay is intended to be a large, pincered, centipede tail. The horns are also intended to be fangs, representing the double-ended appearance of a centipede.

After Emi's defeat in Festival on Aurora Eve, the residents of Gensokyo all began to peacefully enjoy the festival with no more trouble. However, Olivia Lockehart was not yet satisfied. Displeased with her inability to frighten the player, she decides she needs a more powerful dead being to truly show them what's what. She holds a seance at a Cemetary that borders the Sanzu River, and calls forth Nysula from her grave. Obeying her new master's bidding, Nysula uses her power to cause a visual wave interference with the Aurora, irritating the festival goers. The heroines are again dispatched to deal with this problem, and after Nysula's eventual defeat, she is freed from Olivia's control and decides to go wander Gensokyo for a while instead of immediately going back to rest.

Lulu is charge of directing the Bats that pull the Castle of Night, a great moving Castle, which means she is basically in charge of keeping the Castle on-course as per the Countess' order. She is also close friends with the Countess, and in her spare time, enjoys a day of leisure playing in the garden. In Enchanting Moonlit Voyage, she sees the heroine approaching the Castle and tries to ward her off, worried that the heroine is looking to interfere with the bats and throw the castle off-course.

It might not seem all that impressive when you compare it to such gamebreakers as Remilia's Fate Manipulation, Flandre's Destruction power, or Yukari's Gap-Hax.
But it has a reason for being, just like Reimu's powers.
Think about it, if you were a Count/Countess with a flying castle powered by bats, would want to deal with all the bats just to move your castle a few miles to the north/south/east/west and posibly wind up getting whatever fancy gear you have on at the time covered in guano and who-knows-what-all-else.
No, you'd have some sort of flunky do it for you.
Makes sense when it's explained that way, doesn't it?

Although she hardly needs it thanks to her power. With her ability, she can wield her large battleaxe as if it were light as a feather, while raining down attacks that can strike with the force of wrecking balls. She is the Gate Guard of the Castle of Night. It seems odd to have a Guard for a castle whose Countess welcomes company and guests, but the Countess' logic is that "Any proper castle needs to have a guard. Besides, if they can't get past Hilda, I'm sure they'd be too weak to be interesting." Unfortunately, this logic is flawed in that Hilda is actually exceptionally powerful, able to ward off even powerful foes with relative ease. Despite knowing it's counter-productive, she performs her job with gusto, and is a good-natured woman who loves a challenge (she would probably love to meet Yuugi or Suika). After her defeat in EMV, she is persistent in making return appearances for rematches. She enjoys a close friendship with Relena and Nanako (seen later).

Nanako is a peace-loving Moth Youkai who tends to the courtyard on the Castle of Night in her free time. It isn't explicitly her job to do so, but she loves it, and no one else does it as well, so the Countess doesn't see any reason to specifically appoint anyone for the position. Nanako also enjoys making tea and luncheons for the residents of the Castle, and often relieves Hilda from duty so that Hilda can enjoy a light snack. Due to Hilda's skill at her job, Nanako claims she has never had to actually fight an intruder before, but assures the heroine cheerily that she does know how. In EMV, she was happily tending to the Courtyard when the Heroine burst through the gates, having triumphed over Hilda. Despite not being obligated in any way to fight, Nanako thought it could be a fun opportunity, and tried her hand at it, but alas, her Ninja and Sickle techniques were triumphed. She later appeared as the Extra Midboss, alongside Sora, to chide the heroine for making such a mess of her Courtyard. She enjoys a good friendship with Hilda and Sora, and gets along well with everyone else.
