Vandal Savage reached around the side of the bookcase, and pushed it with one hand. Despite being loaded down with books, it slid as though it were almost empty, revealing a safe hidden behind it. He grasped the knob, and twisted in the combination. There was a loud click, and the door swung open a little.
The immortal opened it the rest of the way, and looked inside. There were several things inside, mementos of his past assumed lives. He grabbed a largish vial, its glass darkened with age, and closed the safe again.
Turning around, he watched Emily, mostly waiting for her to get her wounds exposed, looking almost bored. There was a slight glint in his eye, though, because there was no denying that she really was that beautiful.

Deciding that there was no other way around it, Emily turned around so that her back was towards Vandal. Her hand slipped down to grab her sweater and draped it over her shoulder. She didn't think she'd have anything to worry about with him. If he WAS anything like Blackstone, trying to get a peek wouldn't even be of interest to him. If she was right in assuming that he had women over all the time, then it really shouldn't be that big of a deal.
Still... just a precaution to have her back to him while she... went topless for a bit. Moving her fingers under the cups of the suit, she began fiddling with the clasps until something unhooked. The center of the suit parted, and smaller clasps could be found and accessed much easier. The back of the suit soon slid away from her back, and she quickly tossed her sweater over the front of her as she slid one arm out of the suit. Then, tossed the now vest-looking thing on the couch.
Her back was bandaged almost entirely, with splotches of red doting it where her deeper wounds had been. She'd been careful not to rip any of her stitches, but there was no guarantee that she hadn't from the time she received them to the point of going back and forth. What medication she did have soaked into her skin from before ether kept her back in a constant state of numbness... or it had worn off entirely. So... it was impossible for her to tell if she had reopened anything.
She turned her head to the side just enough to look back at Vandal. She didn't feel the good doctor or the Count stitch very far down her back, so she doubted she needed to expose herself any more for Vandal to be able to inspect her back.

Trying to get a peek at Emily wasn't something Vandal was concerned with, thus the bored look on his face. Looking over her exposed back, more specifically the wounds on it, he saw that he had caused more damage than he'd thought. "You've been walking around with no issues with all this? Remarkable." He also recognized the style used to close it all up, from his time associated with the now-defunct Secret Society. "How is the Crime Doctor these days?"

Emily blinked once before her lip curled into a puzzled frown. "You're the first to guess correctly on who the doctor is. Most people don't think of him unless you're known to do a lot of dirty work." she said. Then again... on second thought he would have been about the only good source to go to. Going to the hospital would have taken time and paperwork. Not something Cobblepot would have wanted with no good accident report to make at the very least. And she certainly couldn't have stitched herself.
She turned her head back around to keep her neck from getting tired. "As far as I know, business has been going well for him. With the merged worlds, he's had a rather steady clientele. He has a few buildings, but only one main one where he can usually be found to treat walk ins that call ahead of time." she said.
As for her back... again, the suit helps. Her base has a system and tech that practically dresses her itself. Very helpful for when she's multi-tasking. Today it was good for that, and getting the medical bandages on her back between the suit. Pain killers and healing salve or something was on them. She rarely had to use them so she didn't quite remember anymore. And with no NSHU anymore... what she had was what she had.

"The good Doctor and I are acquaintances," Vandal Savage said nonchalantly. He'd never needed the mortal's services himself, on account of being so ridiculously hard to kill or injure. However, as skilled as the Crime Doctor was in his chosen profession, it was only natural that he would be known in his Universe's underworld.
The Immortal opened the vial, the cork coming off with a pop. Swilling it around lightly, he said, "This will feel cold at first, but it will warm up very soon after. Ready?"

"As long as it doesn't burn like hell, I should be fine." Emily replied. The arm holding the black sweater against her torso tightened against her a bit, anticipating the pain that usually came with open wounds being touched. The other hand carefully reached back and pulled her long blonde hair to the side and over her right shoulder.

Vandal poured a small amount onto his hands, then sat the vial down on a desk as he approached her back. "You're a tough little lady. You'll be alright," he said to her, a smirk on his face and humor in his tone. He rubbed his hands together, and started massaging the liquid into the wounds. He put less pressure on the wounds themselves, and more where her back was still intact, trying to put her at ease. The cool of the concoction should have helped to numb up the pain.

Emily smirked a bit after he made his comment. When she felt his hands on her back, she closed her eyes and bit down on her bottom lip. Despite her trying not to tense up, the feel of his fingers pressing into her back was enough to bring back the pain. Until the cold of the solution began to cover her back and fully kick in. As the numbness began to set in, she was able to try and relax again. Focus on something other than the pain.
She began with trying to focus on enjoying the first massage she had been given in... months? How long had she been here? How long had it been before she came here that she had a massage? Usually it was Chance, Scarlet, or Sapphire that gave her a massage when she needed one. No... she had one after Sapphire had been caught up in Blackstone's world. Actually, it may have been Blackstone who'd given her a massage. If it hadn't been for how badly her back was cut up, she might have been able to enjoy this more.

As the solution worked its magic on her, he started to slowly put a little more pressure on the wounds, trying to push more of it into the cuts that the Crime Doctor had so expertly sewn shut. After another few minutes, he told her, "In another minute or so, this will start to warm up. It won't hurt, and if I did this right, I'll have some interesting news for you after."

"Mmmh.... Alright..." Emily replied. Her back had nummed up, and all she could really feel was him massaging her back. She could feel the pressure on her deeper cuts, and knew she it should be hurting her, but she just couldn't feel it. "What sort of news should I be expecting?" she asked. Trying to keep her mind focused on something.

"The remarkable kind," Savage said, a small smile on his face as he entertained himself by being deliberately ambiguous, "If I was keeping track of time properly, it should be warming up in a matter of seconds." He was on the money, as the liquid started to pleasantly warm up again, almost like a warm blanket in liquid form. He never stopped massaging her the whole time, and had in fact started massaging over her wounds with the same force as he had everywhere else, confident that the solution would do its job.

Emily bit down on her bottom lip and curled her arms over her torso, hugging the sweater against her. There was no pain, her back was warming up, and the muscles in her back were loosening up. She couldn't help but focus on the massage itself now. "Mmmh... You're... rather good at this..."

"You sound surprised," Vandal said, his tone suggesting the smirk that was on his face as he continued his massage, "You also sound relaxed, which is good. If you feel like lying on your chest and stomach, so you can relax further, let me know."

Somewhere in the back of her mind, the logical part of her was warning her that laying down was a bad idea. If she relaxed too much, her adrenaline would wind back down finally, and she'd have a much harder time getting back and forth. And that would be the least of the things to worry about.
The... exhausted, busted back, running back and forth, hadn't had a good chance to relax or pamper herself part of her mind though, was winning out a bit more.
"Might be a bit easier." she replied.
