Serena thought she heard someone at the door, so she went to answer it.

Miyoko watched Mother go and answer the door. " I wonder who that could be...." she said in wonder, before sitting on her knees next to Shiori. " Let me know how you like the stew. It's the first time I've made it for you all,so.." she said, he voice fading off like a light breeze.

-As the door slid open, a smile slid across the man's face. "Ah, Serena, yes?" His grin widening. "I've spoken to head of your Okiya, and I've arranged to place a new maid with you.."
The man's voice garbled on and on about selling her to the Okiya as a maid, and a little bit about how she's good at serving duties; but Keisa had better things to do than sit and listen, however, there was a sudden jerk in her instinct. Interference of some sort. She felt herself become at ease, and sway away from the idea of escaping. There was a sense of peace about this place. Something told her it wouldn't be like the other places. Keisa choked slightly and slid out of the cart, hobbling over to the entry way.
Peeping from behind the man, her deep jade eyes scanned over the woman, and inside the okiya; her curiosity overthrew her, and she was absolutely enthralled with the idea of working here; the beauty of Geisha before her eyes. Such elegance and grace. A feel of serenity was almost captured, but she knew that being here would mean hard work and dedication... Would she even have the chance of becoming a Geisha, or just remain as a lowly maid the rest of her life?
Being thrust back into reality, Keisa's ears were penetrated by the sound of a familiar voice-- Oh, him...
"Go on, introduce yourself." The man spoke with a fake smile.
Blinking slightly, she bit on her lip and looked away, feeling vulnerable somewhat. "K... Kei... Keisa--" Her words stopped abruptly and her eyes became transfixed upon the woman's face, standing before her. She was beautiful! Keisa hadn't ever seen a woman of such beauty. Every woman she had ever seen or been involved with was always sloppy, old and rude. Their faces reflected bitterness that reside within them... But not her... She was in total shock.
"Finish!" The older man jutted, giving Keisa a nudge. Glancing up to Serena he somewhat blushed, seeming very much in a hurry.
"Oh-- Keisa Takamine." She forced a smile and turned away, putting her lips against her shoulder.-

Miyoko wasn't eating, she was too busy looking at the spectiacl going on at the door. She decided that,as a maid, she should make herself useful and help the girl with the things she had. Walking up, she got there just in time to her the girl's name. " Hello there Keisa, My name is Miyoko, can I take your things?" she bowed at Keisa with a smile, and at the man, though she strongly disapproved of his actions toward the girl. But, she showed proper manners and smiled anyway.

-Smiling again, the older man looked down at Keisa and kneeled. Grasping her small shoulders with a tight grasp, he forced a smile and nodded.
"You'll do just right he--"
Batting his hands away from her, Keisa sneered at him, then stuck her tongue out. Ducking in behind the other maid, Keisa had nothing but the clothes on her back, so as he departed she looked up at her and shrugged slightly. Both the cart and the man disappeared around a corner... never to be seen again.
Keisa hung her head low; water dripping and puddling at her feet. These people are so different... they're all so... kind. Even to her, a lowly maid, a child servant. Someone no one would even spit on as she wasn't worth it. That all seemed to change here. She could accuse and claim all day long that her previous owners beat her and treated her poorly, there was no proof as Mama-Sama made sure to leave no mark of her disicpline behind upon the child. Simply for reasons as this.
"I... I have nothing." She said quietly to Miyoko, then she glanced up to the other woman, then bowing her head quickly she acknowledged Rose.
She felt alone and totally in the spotlight. Could she run and find a hiding place? Could she make a break for the door...? No... it's not right. 'It'll be different here,' she said to herself with much hope. '...it'll be different.'
She felt a warm rush come over her face; a flush of embarrassment bloomed across her cheeks as she recognized her clothing was in terrible condition. No one ever really noticed, or didn't care. But these women were different. Maybe they would care? Maybe they won't treat her better than everyone else because of her appearence?
Breaking away from her flooding thoughts, she inhaled the subtle scent of a perfume. She knew what that was, but couldn't place it. Despite it all, she felt relaxed, and at peace. She hadn't smelled anything so sweet since her mother--
Inhaling quickly, her pupils narrowed; green irises darting about, she then looked up to Rose again. Instinctly, she dropped to her knees and bowed as low as her body would allow.
The woman was wearing a kimono that would most likely cost more than Keisa's very life. She should not be standing before such a being, so she felt she needed to be where she belonged; kneeling upon the wooden floor.
"Keisa is sorry. Keisa is sorry, Mama-Sama." She panted and began crying, only seeing her face within her eyes, not the woman that was truly there.-

Ayame shuffled along the courtyard, Tofu balancing over the Miso. What had surprised her that she almost dropped the Miso (And the Tofu) was a young girl, about her age, was near the doorway with her eyes to the ground, sobbing. She shuffled a bit faster towards her.
She placed the miso and the tofu beside her. "Now, now, no-one is going to put you into misery here." Ayame assured her. "You'll become a beautiful Geisha, I'm sure of it. I'll make some miso soup for you. What is your name?"

-Keisa gulped and slowly brought her eyes up to the new girl speaking softly to her. She felt scared, and began shaking slightly. Eyeing her carefully, she couldn't be much older than Keisa, so she felt comfortable-- but only slightly.
"... me? Become beautiful Geisha?" She thought out-loud. Keisa Takamine... becoming a Geisha-- Not in this lifetime. Mentally, she slapped herself for thinking that. She's not worthy!
Slowly coming to a stand, she swallowed again and looked away shyly.
"My-- my name is Keisa... Takamine. Uhm, how do you-- how do you do?" She bowed her head courteously, yet never made eye contact. The light within the doorway created a luminescent glow about her eyes. Almost casting a peacock effect; dots of royal blue, outlined with silk green and tiny specks of a 'gold dust' hue.
Her features were smooth, and fine; her body petite, but properly balanced. Keisa wasn't malnourished in the least.
Finally mustering enough courage to look into the eyes of the girl, she smiled, then began eyeing the Miso and Tofu.
She felt her stomach grumble... then blushed.-

Akemi watched as Serena went to open the door. She, for one, had heard nothing. She heard Miyoko voice her exact thoughts, and she added, "Maybe it's a new girl come to join us?" She sounded hopeful.
Akemi walked into the kitchen and listened to the spectacle that was going on at the front door. It seemed she had been correct in thinking a new girl had come to join them, for at the door stood a girl by the name of Keisa Takamine. What a beautiful name! Akemi thought.
She peeked out from the kitchen doorway, not wanting to disturb the goings on, but to see what Keisa looked like. Keisa stood at the door with a man who looked at least twice her years, he neither sounded pleasant, nor looked it. But Keisa was a different matter. She was beautiful, with long black hair and bright green eyes! She looked like the sort who had spent her life hiding her light behind a bushel...or maybe she had never had the chance to shine, well now she did!
Akemi watched as Shiori walked past her to greet the new girl and waited a little longer. Now the girl was bowing low to Shiori and sobbing. Akemi's heart went out to her! She slowly walked out from the kitchen doorway and looked at Keisa who was now talking to Ayame. Her beautiful eyes were full of sadness and Akemi knew that her life would be changed forever, now that she had come to the Kazenotanpopo Okiya.
"Hello Keisa! I am a new maid here too." She bowed to Keisa. "Dont cry!" She heard Keisa's stomach grumble and smiled. "We were just about to try Shiori-san's stew and drink Rose's tea! You arrived just in time!"

[ Ahck! X_X; Sorry for the delay! Real life is so annoying. xD ]
Shiori watched the man disappear with a hard eye, and her expression, usually one of controlled serenity, was quite fixed and a perceptive individual might even discern a look of buried anger. Indeed she had seen how the man grasped at the girls small shoulders, and it took all of her self control not to push up her furisode sleeves and give the man a good punch across the face. She had lost much of her strength in her seclusion with her aunt, but a fire she had long missed suddenly flared up within her heart. Pity maybe, but more akin to the empathy a mother would feel. She leapt up from the table, a porcelain cup in her hand containing Rose-san's sweet tea.
She kneeled next to the girl and put one of her arms gently around her shoulder, the other offering the cup.
"Become a geisha? Of course! Do not think it is something that cannot be done. I myself never thought I could be a maiko. I am Anzuno Shiori, Keisa-san. Please warm yourself up with this tea .. it is very good. I will take you to the baths and get you a fresh clean kimono. Are you hurting anywhere?"
For the moment all thought of the delicious meal left her mind.

Miyoko joined shiori in trying to comfort the girl. " You'll fit in just fine here, no need to worry. We're hyper, but we're nice people, really." she threw a nasty stare at the man at the door. " Ciome, let's get you some food. You're skin and bone!" She grabbed her bowl of soup and gave it to Keisa. " Go on, eat"

"Ah, Keisa. I'll take you to the mids room where you'll be staying, then we can have dinner!" Rose smiled calmly, she didnt like wearing so beautiful of clothing, so she was a bit grunged looking at the moment, which she found embarrasing around the girl. she brushes her hair behind her shoulders "Shall we?"

" Mother-san, should one of us give her a tour?" Miyoko asked, taking the girls shoes and putting them in the doorway with the others. She began to study the girl. she was timid and she was quite boney. Probly coming from a cruel past. She hoped the girl would learn that not everyone is out to get her and the world is filled with some good.

Akemi knelt on the floor next to Keisa, watching her as she was offered all the bare necessities in life: food, drink, a wash.. Keisa looked like she hadnt been in such nice surroundings in a long time. Akemi folded her arms in her lap and quietly studied the girl. She did indeed look timid; as if she was a small vulnerabe animal who had spent her life around cruel predators. She immediately felt sorry for Keisa and hoped the girl would soon be able to leave her past behind.
Akemi cleared her throat and looked at the new girl, "What would you like to do Keisa-san?"
