Xander maneuvered his way past the maze of crates and boxes. He looked for a way out.

Kurtis hastily assembled two new batteries.
"The bad part is, this is going to be loud," he muttered, placing both in a small lead dome beside the original battery and throwing a lever. The machine roared for a second. The dome pulled back. "Deal with radiation sickness in a few days when it hits us, get out now!" Kurtis suggested, loading a battery into his gun and shoving another in each pocket.

The door at the far end of the storage room opened. Voices could be heard. Tiki was already behind cover, gun drawn.
The footsteps picked up. Shouting was heard. It was difficult to judge in the echoing corridors, but Kurtis guessed that they only had about 15 seconds.

Xander had climbed high atop the towers of crates and boxes. He was hidden in the shadows.

"Back the way we came or what, Doc?" Kurtis asked Connor, urgency and anxiety making his voice tremulous.

Two scientists entered, chatting easily together. They walked towards, where else, but Xander's stack of crates. They didn't see him yet.
The voices were coming from the direction they had come from. Connor shrugged and took off further into the facility.

Xander sighed and rolled his eyes.
Only scientists... he thought, now bored.
He hopped down one level of crates. Then another.

The scientists stopped and looked around.
"You hear that?"
"Yeah."
"Who's there?"
No answer.
"Hey...go get someone."
The other nodded and slowly headed back towards the door.

Xander leaped ahead of the scientist and closed the door before he could reach it.
"No need to do that." Xander said, "Don't make me kill you, just tell us where __INSERT GOAL HERE__ is."

Xander hopped down another level of crates and to the next stack closer to the scientists and then another until he could safely jump to the ground.
He ran up to the scientist and grabbed him by the shoulder, forcibly twisting him around.
"No need to do that." Xander said, "Don't make me kill you, just tell us where __INSERT GOAL HERE__ is."
