Because she felt compelled to continue on without the help of the GM in taking care of his RP, Aiko bandaged up Shae. "Is this alright for you?" She felt pity since it's been quite a while since anyone paid attention to his untreated injury, even though this scene was only supposed to take a few minutes.

Shae sighed and leaned his head back. "Yeah, thanks. It felt like I was going to be hurting for eternity."
He stood slowly and stretched. "Well, are we going to wait here for a few more months? I've got things to do."

Aiko nodded in agreement. "It feels like the shooting has been going on forever. You'd think they'd run out of bullets by now." She cracked her knuckles. She sighed, "It feels like I haven't used my guard skills in such a long time." Even though it was only yesterday that she'd practiced, for some strange reason, it felt like a month had gone by without anyone paying any attention at all to what was going on.

"Agreed," Shae murmured as he sat back down in the chair. For some reason, the short time was so...long...he felt like he should hibernate to pass the time.

Cado shook his head. It felt like his perception of time had become meaningless. It seemed as though the conflict was so distant; it was as if he'd spent a month in peacetime in spite of having merely minutes ago been literally dodging bullets. "At least we don't have to worry about anybody coming in here. If they were going to follow us, they'd have done it by now."

Aiko shook her head and reached for one of her many pockets. "How about some cards?" She pulled out a pack of cards - not regular ones, but metal ones. She'd made them herself so that if she ever got caught unaware, she could throw it at the opponent's face. "Until we know exactly where we are supposed to go and do, why don't we entertain ourselves?" Who knew, the oncoming bullets may never stop and they'd be stuck there - they might as well have SOME sort of excitement.

"Better than doing nothing forever," Cado agreed with a grim smile.

"Deal me in so I don't hibernate," Shae said softly. His eyes were already closed.

"Sure that's not the blood loss?" Cado asked. "I mean, it's a surprise you haven't passed out from it after this much time."

Aiko sat down on the ground and started shuffling her cards. "I guess we'll play poker," she muttered. She looked at Shae's wound with a little worry. "If it was blood loss, he'd be dead by now. After all, there's no way he could have survived this long if it had been a deep wound."

"I've never really been clear on how much of a difference the implants make," Cado pointed out. "Even if ours are probably a little out of date, they're still remarkable technology."

A man dressed mostly in black, sporting hair the color of tar and skin the color of parchment, found himself in the room. He took in the scene. "You appear to be in a time eddy of some kind." He sat down with them. "I have time on my hands - Siber, by the way. Deal me in?"

"Yeah, well," Shae said through a yawn, leaning forward to play, "they just update the implants so fast. I mean, in the month that we've been here, we're probably totally obsolete."

Aiko nodded towards Siber with a half smile. "Not a problem. The more players, the better." She started dealing out their cards with ease. "Name of the game is poker." Siber was on her left, Shae across from her, and Cado to her right.

"It's a pretty easy game to learn," Cado stated, stifling a yawn. "Even if you have trouble, though, time is something of which we've no shortage."
