'Batgirl' nodded, "I'll work with you, and keep the bad guys off of you. Let's go stop this assassin squad."
Nightshade stood beside Hitgirl when he spoke up again, "Everyone remember what Oracle said: These people are normals, but they are exceeding well trained. These aren't thugs, these are government trained killers. When we go in, we need to put them down for the cost or they will kill you. And no, I'm not saying kill. We knock them out. We don't want to make these guys 'martyrs' or anything like that. We capture them, knock out their communications, and grab all the evidence we need to make sure that they get prosecuted. This is a black bag ops that they don't want anyone to know about. Washington will crucify them, if they find out."

Nightshade glanced down at Hitgirl and simply answered, "There's a government hit squad trying to kill off the Titans because we stumbled on a secret bioweapons project. And we're trying to stop them. That's it in a nutshell."

Hit Girl raised an eyebrow. "And you're NOT going to kill them? Why the ******** not?" Then she blinked, turned slightly pink, and indicated the boy wonder with what was supposed to be a offhand sort of gesture. "... I mean, aside from the obvious. Government assassins can't become martyrs; that's just stupid. You're going to get yourselves killed. Not that I care," she added coolly. "Again, not any of my business. Just pointing out what should have been obvious as hell to the group of experienced combatants. I came down here to say 'thanks for the medical help.'" She regarded Nightshade for a moment, almost as though she wanted to say something else, then thought better of it, flatly added, "Later," and turned to leave.

There was a brief silence in the room.
"Um-"
Robin briskly raised his hand to eye level and pulled it back into his crossed arms.
"We weren't here for the planning."
That was an awkward statement, but it was necessary to point out.
Connor spoke up after a while of listening.
"You and RC are on recon with Nightcrawler."
He pointed to Kurt, who sat next to Gar.
"After you're ready, Nightshade portals us all in. Rogue and I are on offense."
He pointed to the girl standing next to him, and then himself.
"Beast Boy leads, Iceman freezes off the level, and Oracle is going to get the blueprints."
Superboy looked around the room, waiting for someone to tell him he missed something. Otherwise, that was basically the summary of it.
"So wait... What are we gathering? Data most likely since you stuck Robin and me together, right? Who's going to get Starfire?"
She stood there a little confused. Maybe there were a few more details that could be added to give at least herself a better picture of what they were going to do. She had only just heard of this plan right when they got there, so she didn't hear how they decided on who was doing what or anything else of the sort.

Rogue first turned to Iceman, "Hey, Icebrain, we have communicators, remember, and...," the Mississippi native turned her attention toward the tiny terror that was Hitgirl, "Girl, are ya related in some way ta a sawed off sort a guy that calls hisself Logan? Ya don't have claws that pop outta yer hands or anythin like that? Cause your remindin meh alot of Wolverine."

Hitgirl glanced back, then shot Rogue a positively vulpine grin. "I'll take that as a compliment," she told the young woman sweetly, then walked out of the room. She wasn't sure where the exit was supposed to be, but if she kept walking and kicking down doors, it seemed logical that she'd bump into one eventually.

Nightshade held up his hand indicating to the others to hold on for s moment. Des poked his head out of the War Room and spoke at Hitgirl, "Hey kid, where are you trying to go? There are some places down here that wouldn't be good to wander into. I don't think you want to set off any of the automatic defenses."

Hitgirl's face instantly hardened into stone. She might have been a sculpture of a little girl rather than the real thing. "That's not the issue," she told him quietly after an icy beat of silence.

"Well, it's kind of a long story... I'll be happy to tell it to you at length the instant it becomes any of your ******** business," the child replied in that same low, frosty tone of voice, small hands clenching into fists as her body automatically relaxed into combat readiness. What had happened to her dad was still maddeningly raw--too much so to allow for rational thought--and she suddenly just wanted to punch somebody... preferably the a*****e who was bringing it up.
