Elasa raised an eyebrow.
"My ring does not need to be charged periodically, though a Power Battery does exist for it. I just haven't encountered any sort of recharge protocol... Hmm.. But after that huge use of energy I'll need a few minutes for it to get back to full strength."
Using her Ring, she called forth her Power Battery and placed her ring in it. She waited for a few minutes, passing the time with basic calisthenics; stretches and so forth. After she felt it was ready, she stored the Power Battery back inside her ring's pocket dimension, levitated in the air, and used a miniscule amount of power to repair her costume. Then she created a dome around Zeso and flew through the air, taking him with her.
"Okay, so... just tell me where to go, I'll drop you off, I guess..." she said uncertainly.

"Well aren't you just the lucky one... Zesoranael complained under his breath, stomping off towards town while she recharged her ring, the hot wind battering his hair and trench-coat, making them blow behind him, making him look like an ominous figure from a distance...
Periodically he would look to his ring; he would know when it was active again when the ring would lowly glow when he made small efforts of concentration upon yet, but it hasn't lit up. It's been a long time since he's had to wait for it to charge...normally his Hellish energy is always present and does not take long to help it recharge...but it seemed to be taking longer this time, probably because he exerted so much of his energy in that confrontation, where he was glad to have her forget it...
He was on his way continuing on his journey, about a quarter of the way there, when all of a sudden a blue energy wrapped around him, concealing him in orb not much bigger then his body, suddenly lifting him off the ground with a jolt, causing him to fall on his back inside the orb from being taken by surprise, "Hey! You could've warned me!"
Though inside he was grateful for her assistance, he didn't like feeling that she could easily just let him plummet above the city at any time. Zesoranael knew that he could withstand most mortal dangers while he was Xaronazar...but in a human state, he was not exactly willing to dare his luck and so he became slightly feverish as he looked up at her...
"Uh...not that I don't appreciate this...but uh...isn't this going to look strange that you're dragging someone away...right after that huge confrontation? Maybe it would be wiser if we walked and you make yourself a little less...inconspicuous...and not implicate me as their loveable, skeletal friend..."

"What does it matter to you?" she asked curiously. Still, she obliged, letting him down before they had reached the city.
"And, uhm... I cannot exactly hide my appearance. I may look very much like a human, but my hair, at least, would give it all away...."

"Much appreciated..." Zeso would curtly thank, praising the Lord on High that he was on flat ground again, brushing off his jacket and pumped his collar...
Her hair was slightly strange, but only because she made mention of it. He merely thought it was just done like that...not natural, and so he told her, "You don't have to worry about that. Earth people do weird things with their hair. I'm sure not many people would take notice of it, and those that do, they would simply think you're setting a style trend. Nothing to worry about..."
He then progressed a few more feet until he noticed her suit and bit his lip, pointing it out, "That suit...I'm not saying it doesn't...well...look fitting on you...but Human's don't traditionally wear that sort of thing...it's sort of...well...how do I say...flamboyant, to a degree..."
Thinking on that further, he looked around him at the closest stores nearby and begged her, "Please...wait one moment..." and dashed into the nearest store. A minute later, he came out to meet her and have her a few female clothing catalogs, explaining, "Here are some magazines about clothing Earth females typically wear. You can probably form any number of those from your ring to wear, and alter them as you like...but try to keep it consistent. A lot of models tend to wear very flashy, strange clothing...you may draw unnecessary attention if you do that...but that choice is up to you of course..."

Elasa looked through the magazines, looking at the various pictures with mingled curiosity and disgust.
"What...? All these things look so strange, except the shoes. Important ven'ari women wear shoes like these for ceremonies and the like..."
And she looked down at her high-heeled boots, tapping the toes of them lightly on the ground as she looked at them appraisingly.
"If you are a ven'ari female of importance, you wear shoes like these. Otherwise you wear sandals. I'm the daughter of the head male and female of my tribe, so naturally I wear these sorts of shoes. It doesn't hurt me anymore."
Then she thought: Would she be allowed to go around in her usual garb? Likely not. But she was not wearing those alien clothes! They just looked... ugh.
She closed her eyes, and her body, from the base of the neck down, was covered in blue light for a few seconds before it ended, and revealed her wearing nothing more than a layer of cloth that went around her chest and ended above her belly. She wore what to a human would be called a skirt that looked very snug and fitting around her larger-than-average waist, and her shoes, sure enough, were high-heeled sandals. On her body were a few intricate symbols in what looked like blood-red ink.
"I doubt this would be acceptable to them, but this is what I and my mother tend to wear. What do you think?" she asked, slowly spinning around to give him a complete look.

"When love has fallen far to earth...and when all burns in the hearth...
Thinking wasn't exactly an ability of Zesoranael's at that particular moment...
He pretty much stood there, staring at her up and down, not even believing that a woman could be so...well so...so well defined! He could feel the blood rushing to his face, and somewhere else, causing him to blush as his mouth hung slightly ajar, unable to speak more then very quite, unintelligible words that had very little meaning...
For long moments he stared until he eventually pulled himself away, placing a hand over his eyes as he turned his back towards her, though every bone in his body wanted to simply gawk at her, he bit down on his tongue hard, trying to keep his mind pure...though in his mind, that was pretty much already too late...
"N-N-N-N-No...you'll...y-you'll find that man-ny women on this world are very v-very territorial of their men...a-and that outfit w-would no doubt provoke the...primal n-natures of many of our w-world's men to c-c-come out. I-I-I would advise heavily on not wearing that...or make it more appropriate and not as revealing of y-your skin so you...y-you d-don't offend th-them..."
Even as he spoke, Zeso could feel that he was making a fool of himself, his adrenaline and his jaw working against him to make him sound like a irrational person. His heart beat violently in his chest and he tried to calm it by taking long, low breaths, but it brought him no comfort. He only hoped that her alien innocence would cause her to not see through his painfully obvious emotion and not see that his mind had just been entrapped by her...
When all you crave is lost, I shall be what you need most. Your love in the darkness that won't fail...never the end to this dark tale..."

Elasa frowned slightly and cocked her head to one side. She had never seen anyone act in such a manner.
"Well... I suppose you're right." she said, before using her ring to make her costume reappear. "I do not wish to offend anyone, but am not wearing those horrid Earth clothes-- erm, no offense..."

(Wow, that's funny. xp )
Yuriko woke up in a sea of shattered glass and slowly sat up in a lot of pain. Numerous cuts all over her were healing rapidly. Glass crunched underneath the Japanese noblewoman, as she fully comprended that she had been blown into the abandoned JLA Headquarters, <"What the devil just happened?">
Lady Deathstrike spoke to herself in her native tongue, and then she stared at the expanding cloud through the skylight. Realizing that there was a titanic expolsion, Yuriko's mouth began to hang open.

/// Wow…you have both successfully helped me out of my writers constipation for Steel and Chaos’s conversation, and given Chaos something rather meaningful to do later on. ///
It was official, neither of the two trusted the other as far as they could head bounce. The term 'as far as they could throw them didn't work since, well, they could throw a human being pretty damn far. Chaos wouldn’t answer any of Steel’s questions about himself or his interest in Alex or Sapphire. And Steel continued to dance around his questions about herself and them. And unfortunately, both were so focused on each other that neither of them noticed the rather impressive power battle going on a few streets down. When they finally did…it was too late.
Steel suddenly stopped talking and had this rather worried expression on her face. One of her programs had just kicked on, with quite a bit of urgency. She had noticed it bleeping in the corner, but now it taken over the better part of her vision. It was informing her of a huge flux of power in the nearby area, something that should have her urgent attention by they way it was practically screaming at her to look up. Chaos now had an urgent warning about the coming danger as well. His Blood had been urging him to take the conversation to a different location, but now…he could almost feel the sudden fear that came over the being. Without his consent or even a warning, the Kryptonite spikes that riddled his back shot out and wrapped around him, growing and weaving over him until he was sealed tightly in a glowing green cocoon. Chaos wasn’t quit sure what actually happened after that. Something bright flashed somewhere. The robot looked up at the sky, then down the street behind him. Her eyes widened, and she tried to brace herself onto the ground. Wind, or something incredibly strong shot past him, shattering anything breakable around him. The ground shook under him, the robot seemed to be having an incredibly difficult time holding on to her place, and he could feel something shoving against the back of his green force field hard enough that it was starting to crack from the strain. Then it became too much. Whatever the Blood had anchored itself into gave way under him, and he flew cacoon and all into Steel, smashing both her and chunks of concrete she was sticking to away and onto the ground a good distance away. And then, after he had been on the ground for a moment or two, he felt the heat. And so did the Blood. Scorching, agonizing, unbearable heat. The stone barrier began to crack, and he was sure that he heard the Blood screaming. Though it might have been himself. He couldn’t really tell, he just knew that his entire being felt as though it had just fell into an incinerator.
He was awake and fully conscious of the pain for a good couple of agonizing minutes, then merciful darkness finally engulfed him. He passed out from the pain while his new Blood did it’s best to endure and keep it’s precious host alive.
~~~~~~~~ *** ~~~~~~~~
A woman stood on a street corner at a rather safe distance away from the fight, but curiously watched the lightshow in the air above the city. She wore a large black overcoat atop of a rather old fashioned white lace dress with a golden broach pinned securely on the collar. The bottom of the dress was just high enough from the ground to reveal a pair of black moccasins. Her auburn hair was parted down the middle of her head and pulled back into a bun so loosely that it was hard to tell it was more than just a mass of hanging, unbrushed hair. Her oval face was pale and seemed as though it had never been touched with makeup. At her side, hanging gently from her left hand, was a medium sized leather bag with a top flap that was fastened tightly with a tiny gold lock. The woman stood there and watched until an unnaturally strong breeze shot past her, nearly ripping the small parchment of paper out of her right hand. She frowned and clasped both items tighter as she crossed her arms around her shoulders. The wind whipped her strands of loose hair about and snapped her in the face. She muttered something in French and turned her back towards the source of the trouble.
What an absolutely horrid place! Was there nothing decent about this world? Oh, she wanted to go home! New York was so busy and noisy and there was absolutely no peace to be found. Gotham was frighteningly dark, damp, infested, and frankly downright depressing. She had thought that this city would be nicer since it was supposed to have…oh, never mind. A foolish thought anyway. There was no Superman or any protector of the city here right now. But there WAS apparently something big going on here. Damn it, she wanted to go home!
…but, she had a task to do. Her Mistress wouldn’t be very pleased with her if she returned back with very little simply because she decided to quit searching around. Her Lady wanted more goods, or to advertise her services in areas farther away from her shop. She wanted things that she didn’t have. Which…considering who the Mistress was…made it rather difficult to find the perfect gifts. She hadn’t been able to turn up much but a tiny collection from museums, feathers and such from exotic and rare animals from zoos, and a few scraps of technology from these other worlds. Most things that the Lady could easily conjure up herself if she really needed them. It was actually rather hard to find anything magic related around. Not that it was easy to find such things in their world. But, you’d think with the universal merging, there would be some places with books or treasures that the Lady could use or study up on. Once one reached a certain magical point…there wasn’t much one didn’t already know or have.
With a sigh, the woman turned and started to walk again. The little compass had pointed her in this general direction, so there had to be something of interest around this street. Something that would prove more fruitious than the previous cities hopefully.
///Glad to have helped Spider 3nodding I'm pretty new here, so to hear that I was able to entertain you and give you more ideas, makes me glad. Feel free to jump in if you want too smile ///
"When love has fallen far to earth...and when all burns in the hearth...
Very slowly, Zesoranael looked back at her and softly sighed in relief, glad to see that she was moderately in appropriate clothing again...only once more it was her Blue Lantern suit, but he finally just decided to give up on it. He only hoped that they wouldn't run into anything, or anyone, that recognized her too much...
"Don't worry about it..." He softly told her, "It's natural to have preferences...hmm...but this still isn't going to do..." He mused, feeling that her being seen with him, wearing similar clothes to Xaronazar, would still trip alarms...so he decided that perhaps this once...he may try to look like her and not for her to look like them...
He could feel that the energy levels in his ring were still very weak in his ring, and he knew that his powers of the ring were tied to Hellish form, but he thought that maybe he could access certain things, and so he slowly raised his ring, concentrating on his Black Lantern aspects of his power and closed his eyes, the ring starting to glow its negative energy and it soon swarmed around him...
When the light vanished, he was now covered in head to toe in a very tight jumpsuit, like her own, only these were of a deep, black color, accented by white streaks and bolts, his trench-coat no longer on him either, leaving him feeling slightly naked without it. The focal areas of his eyes and nose were covered by a slim, black mask outlined by white, and his copious amount of hair was coiled by metallic clasp, becoming one, thick rope of hair that stretched down to the small of his back. Emblazoned on his chest was the Black Lantern Corp symbol, glowing its dark aura...
Zeso felt that he had done it, finally using some of his Lantern powers without invoking his hellish form, until he looked at his ring arm and found that three of his fingers, the middle and his two smaller fingers, as well as most of his palm, had made its transformation, becoming bone with its black fire, and strangely he did not feel pain with it like that, but it certainly felt strange. At least this way he could remotely travel without calling upon Xaronazar and tried to further his power; carefully exerting his focus to lift himself into the air and gradually he had done so, a thick aura of black surrounding his form...
The cost was not lost on his mind though; the more he focused on his Black Lantern power, the fire was slowly progressing, inch by inch, until it consumed his hand. Eventually it stopped at his wrist when he was not exerting his mind any further, but this was a blatant sign that he could not use a lot of his own power without bring Xaronazar into the picture, which slightly upset him, but it was not unexpected...
He looked down on Elasa and told her, "I don't think I have long before the curse may present itself again...it seems inexplicably tied to my Black Lantern powers, so that even using a little forces it out...we should make haste before I'm not able to keep them separate..."
And with that, he led the way, speeding through the air with minimal focus on his power, outstretching his hand in front of him to point the direction of his flight path, his burning ring a small, glowing beacon in the city skies...
When all you crave is lost, I shall be what you need most. Your love in the darkness that won't fail...never the end to this dark tale..."
Curious, Elasa followed the Black Lantern. He was certainly not what the likes of Sister Sercy and Saint Walker had told her about...
"A curse?" she asked as they flew above the city. The damage done by the explosion earlier had been mostly superficial, and she determined they did not have to intervene to help anyone.
"Is this what you call that... skeletal form of yours?"
"When love has fallen far to earth...and when all burns in the hearth...
Zeso slowly nodded gravely, his eyes keeping on the path ahead, his lips pursing together. He looked at his hand and the fire was slowly growing, now reaching half way to his elbow, just starting to come towards the bone...
He growled softly, trying his best to push the fire back, but it was not moving backwards, in fact it moved even more when he grew frustrated, suddenly jumping across his elbow and now working its way along his shoulder...
"Bumsen!" He cursed in German, seeing the fire growing steadily despite his efforts and so he intensified his speed, losing precious time until he became that monster again...
He did not want to see him that way...least of all did he want to face her in combat and so he became more of a missile, soaring through the air like a firing beacon until he came to his shop, a fairly tall, wide building in the shape of a triangle on the corner of the block of three stories, the first two for his shop, the last one for his apartment.
He dived low and used the previous rooftops for cover from prying eyes before using his ring, summoning a small, disk-like hook to fire from his ring that shot at a brace contraption on his large, glass windows that exposed the sky above him. The small disk hit a piece of the arm that caused it to swivel and crank, prying the windows in time for him to cut out his levitation and fall into his apartment, making a bit of a hard landing on his feet, but nothing he couldn't stand...
This level had a great amount of space; used up by a queen-sized bed in the corner, a large, flat, 72-inch television screen hung on the far wall, connected to a various assortment of gaming systems amidst a large collection of video-games. The rest of the walls were used for shelves, affectionately filled by hundreds of books, each section marked by alphabetical tags and larger tags on the top, designating sections as History, Fiction, Science Fiction and more...
There he waited for her, keeping his hand propped on a switch on the wall that opened the windows, waiting for her to come through so he could close them. When she came in, she would notice most of his body was burning, most of his left leg, his entire right arm, and the left side of his face, just barely past his nose, but his will power was keeping it all together, trying to repress it, but was having difficulty...
When all you crave is lost, I shall be what you need most. Your love in the darkness that won't fail...never the end to this dark tale..."
Elasa flew gracefully into Zeso's bookstore, and looked at him with some concern. She did not say anything, feeling that she would ruin his already fragile concentration since he seemed to be trying to suppress his "curse"... but what was the point in trying to suppress that which could not be stopped, she wondered?
But she sensed his inner frustration; and from what she could detect, the odd spirit-- that "curse" was filled with rage itself, which could only make the ordeal worse... And so she stepped toward him, her aura shining.
"Peace..." she said softly, lifting her ring, and preparing to attempt to quell the angry spirit that was frustrating Zeso. The power of the Blue Lantern Ring was designed to eliminate the contaminating influences of the powers of the Red, Orange, and Yellow Power Rings; however, Elasa theorized that because emotion was universal, the emotions themselves could be harnessed in various forms. For her universe, it was through the Lantern Rings powered by the Electromagnetic Emotional Spectrum-- but who was to say that it would not work in this combined universe?
And so, she spoke again, saying: "All will be well," as her ring created a vision of Zesoranael's greatest hope....
"When love has fallen far to earth...and when all burns in the hearth...
Zeso slowly took a grip on the right side of his face, the side that was not burning as she entered the room. Flicking the switch, the glass doors then came closed as he shielded himself from her, not wanting her to see the horror that he was going through, pain riddling through his body as it was slowly growing more and more, slowly becoming out of control...
He slowly turned to her, feeling her use the ring and he tried to keep her from using it, unsure of what it would do to person like him, but he couldn't fight it. He lost himself in the blue light, her words but an echo as he slowly closed his eyes, feeling his body become as light as the wind's breath and became consumed by it, feeling the fire fade away...
Within his mind, he slowly saw himself descend upon a strange, harmonic area, a great assemblage of rocks and stones formed together to create a strange construct, a large building of some kind that was directly in the center of several waterfalls that roared and rang with life...
In this vision, he noticed that he was in his dark form again, but none of the old feelings had come. It was as if he was in complete control and he felt compelled to walk up the stone steps, slowly bringing himself to the center of a very large, octagonal area; a very old man sitting at the center, wearing massive, Eastern robes and held a large, oak-wood staff in his hands...
Zeso was going to ask him who he was, but the old man had already started speaking, "No...you do not know me...but I know you child. I know the pain you suffer...as do all my children..."
Slowly the old man stood, his long, white hair breezing about in the wind as he slowly walked towards Zeso who was going to try and ask him this time who the old man was, but again it was as if he knew he would ask, "I am Guide to you...Teacher to many...Master to few...perhaps you too will know me as Master...but that is not possible. Not yet..."
Zeno, slightly frustrated that this was happening, was about to try again, wanting to ask him what he meant by all that gibberish, but found the top of the old man's cane smacking his forehead very quickly, causing him to refrain, stepping back and placing a hand on his head, the old man snapping, "And that's the very reason why! You are quick to anger...quick to use the power at your fingertips! You must deny it if you ever have hopes of achieving control!"
He then slightly sighed, Zeno's head slightly sagging, feeling a bit of emotional pain aside from the physical, "You have a long way to go Zesoranael...a long way indeed...but you are not without allies...I expect you may meet some of them soon enough...for now...rest, strengthen your resolve...and when you think you have a handle on your anger...find me...perhaps then you can call me Teacher..."
Zeso, not sure how to respond to that, looked up at the old man, realization suddenly dawning him as the man somehow knew his name and he spoke, finally getting a word out, "Wait! How do you--?!"
But it was all caught away in his throat as the old man placed his hand upon the burning symbol on his forehead, suddenly a blaze of white and blue light surrounding Zeso as the feeling came over him again and his pain evaporated...
In the real world, Elasa would see the black fire become blue as it completed its form, but from the symbol on his forehead, the same bright flash of light would blast through the room, briefly blinding her. When all was normal, she would see Zeso lying on the ground, his body returned to normal and his human clothing upon him once again; his eyes closed as he dreamed peacefully...
When all you crave is lost, I shall be what you need most. Your love in the darkness that won't fail...never the end to this dark tale..."
As the blue light faded, Elasa saw Zeso lying on the ground. She looked to her ring with confusion. She'd never done the process of Rage Removal before, but from what she had been told, the person being affected wasn't supposed to slip into unconsciousness. Was there interference from the odd power he had, or was it a side-effect of the Multiversal Merge?
She knelt down beside the young male and checked his pulse: he was fine. She sighed, and stood up, activating her ring and using it to contact Odym, the headquarters of the Blue Lantern Corps.
"Elasa Atu'me, Blue Lantern of Sector 0005 reporting from Sector 2814." she said to her ring as she held it close to her face.
"Greetings, Elasa. It is good to hear your voice. Is something the matter?" came the voice of Ganthet, former Guardian of the Universe and the co-founder of the Blue Lantern Corps. Elasa hesitated at first, and then proceeded to tell Ganthet about Zeso and his powers.
When she finished, Ganthet was quiet for several long minutes. She wondered if perhaps the ancient Oan had wound up having a heart attack due to her report, but then he spoke:
"Most curious. Are you free to be called back to Odym for a debriefing? Your original mission is being superseded as of this moment until further notice if that is the case."
Elasa looked to Zeso's motionless form for a moment, and then replied: "Yes, sir. I believe I am,"
"Excellent. I shall be awaiting your arrival most anxiously. Please hurry." Ganthet replied, and the transmission ended. Elasa gave another sigh, and picked Zeso up, placing him over her shoulder. She used her ring to create a hyperspace wormhole, and moved into it, heading to Odym.
