((But a coolant jet might have burst...One of my guys things is that he used to work on the hovercars. He knows how long it would be to prove it wasn't a burst tube leading to the coolant tank, and it would be a long time. But that all depends on if it was the type that Bitong used to work on.))

The cop shook his head. "Until we get an official call, we aren't going running off after 'bad guys'," he said. He turned to his partner. "Let's go, Jimmy."
They began to walk off just as the majority of the ice melted at once, releasing a small flood of water.
Too bad they didn't see.

Hyro tried to start the car, but the first few times it only coughed weakly and stalled.
"No good. They're long gone by now anyways." He turned and glared at Blaine and Anna. "Maybe if someone had gotten up when I had called them, this wouldn't have happened."

We're students, for pity's sake. I don't know if you noticed, but they seemed like they had done this before. We can't hope to fight them if they all know how to fight so much better than we."

Nathan grimaced. "Now was that really necessary?" he asked, giving a look of vague patronization to Anna. "No, we need to go back home and ask someone to teach us to actually fight. Learning to use the Mystickers is good and all, but it isn't like being able to knock them down."

Anna turned her attention to Nathan and stared at him as he spoke, looking as if all she could hear was 'blah blah blah'. She reached over and lightly patted him on the shoulder to keep his attention before signing: You don't know how to fight?

Hyro cried out. "What the hell was that!" He pinched his nose and groaned.
"Y'know what? Fine. You guys have fun training. This isn't what I signed up for anyways. Just know that you can't learn everything you need to know from classroom lessons and simulated exercise."
He started the hovercar and began to drive them home. He refused to speak.
