Shael smiled at the children. "Whenever you're ready, come on into the kitchen for some dinner, we've all just sat down ourselves," she invited them. "Do you need dry clothes?"
She eyed them all thoughtfully. Shiro and Ura would be too big for Adwin's clothes, but they would fit - loosely - into something of Adan's, and Lin would fit comfortably into Alyse's clothes, if necessary.

Lin looked down at the wet and very dead looking ribbon around her waist as it slapped against her leg. She figured it could be worse and didn't really want to end up borrowing clothes.
"I'm fine!"

Shiro smiled up at Shael. "I'm all right," he agreed softly with Lin. "We weren't in the rain for very long at all. Aragost-san brought us here quickly."
His stomach rumbled suddenly, and he remembered the rush he had been in while they had been eating lunch.
"But dinner sounds wonderful," he admitted with an apologetic smile to Shael. "If you would be so kind as to direct us to the dining room ..."

Shael smiled softly.
"This way," she told him, gesturing towards the door just before the hallway. "Come on. There's plenty of food, nice and warm."

Lin smiled looking up at Shael before make her way towards where everyone else was eating, "Thanks Shael."
She paused for a moment, recalling what she had been told about Elberon.
"How are you doing?"

"Me?" Shael smiled as they entered the dining room. "I'm doing well, thanks. And yourself?"
She wasn't certain, but she suspected that she saw a little something more in Lin's eyes than the question she had asked ... still, she didn't want to make a mountain out of a mole hill, as the saying went, so she didn't go into depth with her answer.
"Hey, look!" Adwin spoke up from where he was sitting. "New people!"
Amdir waved from where he was sitting. "Hello, you three," he said warmly. "Come in, take a seat - you look cold."
Alyse was sitting between Adwin and an empty chair that looked as though it had recently been vacated.

"Not too cold, thanks," Shiro grinned at Amdír. "We weren't in the rain for long. Aragost-san said that we should stay here until it stops, though ... I hope we won't be imposing."
"Not imposing," Ura echoed softly, taking a seat next to Shiro, across from the twins.

"You got older," Lin told Adwin in return.
Only once she made her way over to a seat did she answer Shael's question. She hoped that Shael was doing well, and she would believe the answer since she didn't know how long it had been since Shael got angry at Elberon.
"I'm doing great," she smiled back.

Shael went to the cupboard for some extra dishes, then distributed them to the new arrivals and dealt out some food to each of them.
"'Course I got older," Adwin retorted to Lin. "I'm always getting older!"
He paused.
"Wait, how did you know that?" he demanded suspiciously. "Did you know me before I knew you?"
Amdir fought to hold back a chuckle.

"Yes," Lin replied as if this was a normal thing.
To be fair this was normal for her, the time difference and people growing up so much more quickly than herself.
"I saw you a bit when you were a baby, and Aliya let me feel her tummy when she was having you."

"Hey, neat!" Adwin exclaimed, his blue eyes sparkling brightly. "Mama let us feel her tummy when Adonijah was in there, too!"
Even Alyse looked excited at that memory.
"We could feel little bumps!" she said shyly. "Mama said he was kicking ... but she said that it didn't hurt. But that didn't make sense to me, because when Adwin kicks me it hurts."
"I don't kick you a lot!" Adwin protested.
"I didn't say that," Alyse agreed. "I just said that when you do, it hurts."

"Well... maybe a baby kicks doesn't hurt as much," Lin murmured.
At least she would assume, but then again she didn't know how hard babies kicked in the first place.
"You do mean kicked by accident right?" she looked between the two.

Alyse shook her head slowly.
"No, accident kicks don't hurt so much," she shrugged. "Sometimes he kicks me hard on purpose."
"Only when you take my stuff," Adwin retorted with a hint of righteous anger.
"It's not just yours, it's ours," his sister pointed out. "You have to share."
"'Sides that," Adwin told Lin, "she sometimes gets me too. She hits hard."
"Only when you kick me!"

Shiro and Ura exchanged a glance. Neither of them could imagine hitting or kicking another sibling on purpose. They had heard of course about the incident between Silvrendir and Kaito, but other than that ... nothing within the family.
"Why do you fight?" Shiro asked between bites of food. "Isn't it nicer if you just get along nicely?"

Lin blinked and looked between the two, she of course never had the problem like that. Most of them had their own toys and she had her own dolls. Though she would have to note to never kick someone if they wanted to play with stuff.
Though she would tell them to ask first.
"Oh.... I would have to agree with Shiro."
